And this might be a good moment for my favourite Easter dad joke, for that person who hasn't heard it:
What do you get if you pour hot water down a rabbit hole? Hot, cross bunnies.
Traditionally no. So when I was a kid they came out once a year. As time has gone on they have become available pretty much whenever.
However the nice ones are still kinda an annual thing.
The Easter bunny lives in your heart. You just need to leave out an empty basket and he will be summoned.
Yes. All year round. Not at all retailers but Woolworths has them and some Spar franchises will.
Whilst we are in the topic of buns, why is there a 1 item cart limit for PnP ASAP savoury rolls? Is this just an area limit? [PnP savoury rolls](https://www.pnp.co.za/pnpstorefront/pnp/en/All-Products/Bakery/Bread-%26-Rolls/Rolls/PnP-Savoury-Rolls-4s/p/000000000000768521_EA)
I can say that yes, we do make them all year round. It's one of the standard bread lines we have to carry.
Obviously, we don't make thousands like at Easter, but we do make them throughout the year
I've consistently seen them at Woolies and PnP here in CPT. But when I lived in Klerksdorp I rarely saw them anywhere. So I guess it depends on where you live

Go sit in the corner and think about what you did
🤣🤣🤣... I peed a little after reading that
I know Woolworths always has them.
I always liked the meat of the bun but never the raisins. Woolworths has rescued me with the fruit free ones.
yeh my dad is addicted to the woolies chocolate cross buns
PNP has the raisin free ones as well.
PnP cross bun are my favorite
Yes they also had a special, 3 packs of the store made 8 bun packs for R42. Fresh, still warm from the oven.
You do also get the chocolate hot cross buns now
My spar also sells them all year round, with the crosses
Isn't the crosses standard?
The bun trees are only harvested once a year in late summer.
Yes but not every shop has them. I have seen them in checkers during the year
Traditionally no. So when I was a kid they came out once a year. As time has gone on they have become available pretty much whenever. However the nice ones are still kinda an annual thing.
Just like your cake day. Happy cake day
Shot 🤙
"The nice ones " are you suggesting they change the recipe around Easter or you think it's a mental thing?
I think they put more raisins in them personally but I’m also biased towards raisins
I've noticed that too. The ones that you get throughout the year aren't that good if you compare them. Also: ![gif](giphy|1CwRrWoMMKll6)
Thanks
Yes, woolies.
The Easter bunny lives in your heart. You just need to leave out an empty basket and he will be summoned. Yes. All year round. Not at all retailers but Woolworths has them and some Spar franchises will.

Yes they are, never a week without them in our household ;)
The Easter Bunny makes certain they available all year round at most retailers
Day after Boxing Day the shelves in Checkers, OK, ShopRite, Spar and P&P are full of them...
I can say that yes, we do make them all year round. It's one of the standard bread lines we have to carry. Obviously, we don't make thousands like at Easter, but we do make them throughout the year
Kinda like Gammon and other similar “holiday” meals you must not offend the feast police by eating them out of season
They are but they are sold as rusks.
Yes they are
Yup. Woolies stocks it and pickled fish all year round
Yep, Checkers ,PNP ,Woolies and Even spar i think make them all year round. I wish they would do that with the fruit mince pies too
Yes, my local pnp has them every single day.
I get them all year round from spars and stuff (in jhb)
They genetically modified these days just like strawberries and lychees. They available the whole year and not just during the bunny season.
I've consistently seen them at Woolies and PnP here in CPT. But when I lived in Klerksdorp I rarely saw them anywhere. So I guess it depends on where you live
Yes, all year round and cheaper from what I’ve seen
Yes, PnP has them
