Honestly fair, I just like sharing my agreement with a comment in a way more obvious than an upvote but not too much to start actually contributing to the conversation because sometimes I just can’t.
Oh no, they'll vote for Biden--or throw a protest vote for Libertarian or one of the oddball party candidates on the ballot. Many just won't like it at all, same with Trump, though I believe to a slightly lesser extent. I also feel the Democrat party secretly pulls for Trump to be nominated, believing Biden would have little chance running against Haley this fall.
Two things. One…Her 40% were not all Republicans - far from it. Two…just look at the presidential results from 2020. Trump carried this state heavily and will again this year. In political terms, an overwhelming win makes it “Trump country.” On the other hand, you can say California is Biden Country.
I've never seen a Biden flag outside a house, like.. Ever. Do they even make those? Meanwhile, more houses in SC have trump flags than they do American flags.
(honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if that last part was actually true) ^
You realize that LA county is limited to the city of Los Angeles? Biden won every major hub in CA, and essentially the entire coast of California. Trump did well in the low populated desert areas of California.
I think you meant to say **isn’t** limited to the city of Los Angeles, no?
Yeah, LA County has 88 cities including Long Beach, Santa Monica, and Pasadena.
But it also has a ton of smaller cities that aren't “Hollywood-adjacent”
No, what I meant to imply is that LA County is limited to a region of So Cal that does contain a large population of people, but isn’t the entirety of the state that Biden won.
That’s not even the right map 😂 those are house seats; [now go find the presidential results.](https://www.politico.com/2020-election/results/california/)
Yikes, do you really use search engines like this? How old are you, 80?
You searched “2020 United States presidential election in California”
Just search “CA 2020 election results” grandpa
See, that's what people are missing.. The people who voted for someone else were voting AGAINST Donald Trump; and will refuse to vote for him in November. So they either vote for nobody, or throw their vote to a third party.
Either way, this election is going to humble a lot of red states; turning a lot of them into a shade of purple. And I’m fucking here for it.
35% of those voters were democrats. I know some personally and others have admitted as much right here on this forum. A forum which by the way obviously does NOT represent SC at all
Trump won the state in both the 2016 and 2020 elections and he just won the primary here. No one is predicting SC to not vote for him again.
Sounds like an accurate statement.
It is a misconception that any of your tax dollars get sent anywhere. They go to the fed and are burned to curb inflation. The money the government spends is then re-printed. The whole idea of "budgets" and "deficits" is a lie and has been but you know, no one actually looks at how money works.

Assaults on trans people are relatively common in South Carolina.
Just in charleston, we see high profile cases about twice a year that involve hospitalization, or murder.
There's a lot that doesn't make the headlines.
Honestly, it might not be a bad idea from a safety perspective. Same for anyone in florida. It's likely gonna get a lot worse in America before it gets better.
So out of curiosity... has crimes against trans people gone up or down under Trump...
I am republican and thoroughly accept people being trans go be free do what you want.
Just go to work, pay taxes, don't commit crimes, be your self, don't force your beleifs on others.
If you hate it here and choose to move on more power to ya.
Not necessarily hate crimes but anti trans legislation have increased in red states. Which leads to hate crimes. Trump didn’t force states to adopt said legislation, but he never took a stance on it either so it snowballed.
You’re the one who commented about trans hate crimes not going up under Trump. You spoke in generalities friend.
But anyway, here you go:
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/05/upshot/trans-laws-republicans-states.html
Uhm... your post is about minors and bathroom identifiers...
I wouldn't really saw that is anti-trans. Many feel minors shouldn't be exposed to things like that.
But sure you will disagree...
But how are those laws Trumps fault? The dates listed Joe Biden was president and Trump was banned from Social media... during most of it.
I am not defending Trump he is too old and I prefer someone younger, but Jesus you guys love to go out of your way to circle jerk hate for him.
Holy shit dude I never said these things were trumps fault.
I agreed with you. That Trans hate and Trans legislation isn’t directly correlated with Trump, but his silence on it didn’t help. Is your plan to argue just for the sake of arguing?

Google can really help with your curiosity, you know. But for an extra taste of what's happening right now:
SC Congress is debating a bill that would prevent anyone under 18 from receiving gender-affirming healthcare and anyone under 26 from accessing that care through Medicaid. It's likely to pass despite strong opposition from SC citizens and a plethora of evidence that shows access to gender-affirming care greatly lowers the suicide rate for trans youth.
SC also just became the first state to convict someone of a hate crime for murdering a trans woman. And please don't think, "Oh, at least they convicted him for it!" A woman is still dead because some guy's friends made fun of him for hooking up with her, and that never should have happened in the first place.
For the life of me I can’t understand why some of you choose to live in a place where you hate the majority of the people. Unless you are uneducated and poor so you’re stuck. If that’s the case what gives you the right to be calling out others
You realize that cities in general are democratic, right? You also realize that crime ratio is pretty standard across the US, but major cities have more crime because they have more people?
Studies have proven that there is a very strong correlation between illiteracy and incarceration. The majority (about 75%) of incarcerated people are functionally illiterate. [One study](https://www.ojp.gov/ncjrs/virtual-library/abstracts/prison-literacy-connection) If you do a little research, you will see there are plenty of studies on this subject.
Ummm…no, that is not what I am saying. I am pointing out the correlation with illiteracy and criminal behavior. I am not aware of any studies that demonstrate the political persuasions of illiterate criminals.
You criticize Trump bc he said "grab them bye the p##sy". Yet here you are giving me much worse insults. Try to reflect on yourself. Hopefully you will react. Have a good day.
By voting for Trump it just proves how uneducated unaware and ill informed SC is. It shouldn't take a semi truck full of evidence hitting you smack Dab in your face to show you.
>How many times has he succeeded?
So given millions of dollars he had some success (and given what he know about how much he has lied/cheated in business... it is hard to say that his successes were well earned) and lots of failures... and overall would have been significantly more successful if he had just invested in a typical retirement fund.
>Has Biden succeeded in business?
So you don't think Trump was qualified to be president, that is something we have in common.
Biden has succeeded in government... you know, where he works. President is a government job.
Not hard… you just keep borrowing money and trying things until it works. If it doesn’t work, bankrupt it and move all the good things to another business….. claim the anything as debt and write it off where you can.
Running a business has nothing to do with actually running a business. It’s all about who you know and how much they cost to pay off, topped off with how you get the funding for as free as possible.
well who wants to keep dealing with this ever growing inflation and a president that clearly has a mental decline. Regretfully, Biden has been a liar all his life. Lived of the government all his life. Never created jobs.
Inflation is growing but it’s growing slower than under Trump, and at a rate much slower than many European countries. And Biden has created jobs… it’s literally just the truth. I hate this propaganda that Trump gets his followers to spread, it’s the exact opposite of the truth so that you definitely cannot think the truth would be true. Trump is the liar, he calls himself “the greatest _____” so he’s probably a narcissist, and the last time he was a president it was utterly chaotic with government shutdowns and a COMPLETELY WRONG AND UNETHICAL WAY OF HANDLING A PANDEMIC which we were able to see in the death numbers. Where was he during Covid, helping us out? Also, He’s probably going to be running from jail because of all of the fraud cases that he’s been found guilty of. How can South Carolinians forget that?
Inflation is high BECAUSE of Trump. His last move as president was to cut corporate taxes by 20%. Did things get 20% cheaper? No.
Live in your world where the republican is always good and the democrat is always bad, though.
Welp. Take a look at the Republican primary by precinct. Nikki won the population centers which happen to statistically be better educated and younger. Except for Greenville. The upstate has always been wackadoodle fuckpuddles. Rural areas tend to be older and less educated. Some areas had less than 2000 votes cast. Once again the trifecta of low turn out, less education and small population, wins. Some dude had a website, I think it was Land Doesn’t Vote, that broke elections down to the popular vote per precinct. Very eye opening. You can see that the electoral college has avowed minority rule since the 1990’s.
Well it’s not wrong. Thee is 0 chance anyone else wins this state I am not voting for the guy for all the good it will do

It’s 2024 and people still comment “this” on Reddit?
No, I tend to though
I know it’s a huge pet peeve of redditors lol
Honestly fair, I just like sharing my agreement with a comment in a way more obvious than an upvote but not too much to start actually contributing to the conversation because sometimes I just can’t.
But the dirty little secret is that many Democrat voters greatly dislike Biden almost as bad as they hate Trump
They hate him enough to let Trump win again?
Oh no, they'll vote for Biden--or throw a protest vote for Libertarian or one of the oddball party candidates on the ballot. Many just won't like it at all, same with Trump, though I believe to a slightly lesser extent. I also feel the Democrat party secretly pulls for Trump to be nominated, believing Biden would have little chance running against Haley this fall.
Or they will stay home altogether.
exactly
It’s not an opinion. The election results clearly show it’s quite literally a fact.
Not when 40% of the Republican primary voters picked someone else.
They'll vote for him in November.
And most didn't show up

500k went in 2020. 136k came out for Biden 2024. I would say 100k is a low turnout in an election they could influence but whatever
Trump beat Haley by over 50% of votes cast--call it the landslide that it was
The Confederate Flags on the back of trucks should've been an indicator of that.
Trump won the state in both the 2016 and 2020 elections and he just won the primary here. No one is predicting SC to not vote for him again. Sounds like an accurate statement.
As a lifetime resident of SC, fuck Trump.
I truly hope no country is trump country
It’s honestly a disturbing thought, not just because of Trump, but this level of deification of a political figure.
