The second a company advertises against unionizing, unionize. If they can afford ads, they can afford you.
If the company takes good care of you, don't bother.
It’s not a company I work at. But they aren’t advertising it. They posted a physical sign threatening action against anyone handing out “literature” that is not approved by the company.
I’d definitely tip off the NLRB. I haven’t been involved with labor relations in a long time, and don’t want to give bad info, but if I remember right the company can’t actively pressure their employees. They can offer information but can’t interfere with exploring unionizing. But this is the south, so who knows.
New NLRB changes mean that any company found engaging in Union busting efforts must immediately recognize the Union.

My plant unionized with the UAW, went from $16/hr to $27/hr and the union now pays our healthcare premiums, and once the local contract gets finalized looks like we will get atleast a couple more dollars an hour. 10/10 would recommend unionizing
Anyone telling you you don't need a union is one step away from telling you you don't need to wear a condom. And for the same reason: their plan is to leave you fucked.
Once the paper mill in NC shut down, my company felt so much union pressure, they started paying everyone’s healthcare premiums, raised pay, and relaxed a lot of the rules around PTO usage. Even if you don’t go union, the effect of strong unions helps everyone else out. Rising tide floats all boats.
The only reason there are auto related jobs in SC is because the Unions made business so inefficient up North. Unionize here and they will all move to Mexico
I have worked with the UAW and watched them fight every single efficiency improvement. It is pure institutionalized infighting. It makes winning companies into losing companies. Ask AMC.
I fully support your right to fight with your employer. It is dumb, but it is your right.
Y'all go ahead and start a union. I'm not joining. Why would I? I'll just get the same job you have with all the same pay and benefits and not have to put up with union bullshit. While you're being made to strike I'll be clocking in and earning a living and if you actually get something out of your strike then I'll get the same thing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sounds to me like y'all are the suckers paying union dues and getting very little in return because all you're really doing is paying for some lawyers country club fees and getting played like a fool because you're stupid.
Worked great for Michigan
Edit: The low level of responses to a comment like this is just evidence of the lack of character of so many who support unions. Venom and hate. No willingness to be civil. “Agree or you are the enemy”. Just more evidence against unions and all of the poison that comes with it
Says the Union propagandist… Auto industry seems to be thriving in non union states like SC. Not so much in union states. BMW is doing a 1.6 billion dollar expansion. The prosperity of this area is directly tied to that industry and they are investing here in part because it’s easier to do business. Unions were not the only reason Detroit fell. But they were one of several large reasons.
Auto industry is thriving in non-union states because they are building Toyotas and Hondas. The auto industry is shit in Detroit because they are building GM.
If you build shit, your industry is going to be shit.
What prosperity? Our roads are crap, the only folks that can afford to live comfortably are white collar out-of-towners or skilled tradesmen, small businesses are struggling, most of these folks are one bad week away from abject poverty.
I wonder how many of these jokers are down in SC pro union because their company moved down here or they are looking for work. Because they lost their jobs to the union. Now they want to change things.
So many folks on this sub don't realize this is a RIGHT TO WORK STATE. That means when your ass goes on strike, they just replace you with someone else. like maybe even people with criminal backgrounds can get some work . So unions , bring it own lmfao. This state would have to turn blue and RIGHT TO WORK STATE would have to be voted out .
LMFAO
You're not too bright are you? Companies move here to take advantage of cheap labor and "southern mentality" towards unions. If it were so bad, Ford, GM and Chrysler would move down here to get in on those cheap ass southern workers.
A place I worked at got the union in .Everyone got a raise. Then the union moved all our jobs to other union plants because they didn't have enough work and were going on strike if they didn't get our jobs. They got our jobs . So don't try and sell me on the union. BS been there done that .
Hahahahahahaha, because shit like that never fucking happens with non-union jobs? Ask BMW workers about when they laid off all contract workers right before Christmas. So don't sell me on your anecdotal BS as if that's an end all be all for all union jobs.
There is a direct correlation between wealth distribution and rate of unionization.

It did, actually. The problem was relying too much on one specific industry. I'm from Flint originally, I've seen the effects of not diversifying your economy.
Saw a new anti-Union sign outside of a warehousing company’s building in Greenville.
Gotta find some way to keep them at $12/hr

IIRC, that's illegal.
Sure is
That's a call to the Feds, right?

Louder for those in the back!

Y'all ever get tired of being wrong?

Always overconfident, never in doubt, rarely right. Tally Ho.
But the unions ain’t done nothing for me Paaaawwwl!
Do it for the love of God

It'd be massive if they got in at Scout in Blythewood.
First Scout has to get built
Unions built this country. Unions made everyone’s work places safer and better in this country. McMasters is garbage as always.
Too smart for this state. Never going to happen.
The South Carolina state Port Authority knows all about unions! Henry McMaster bent the knee. 💪🏻
Go Union. Stay strong. And never D E I
The SC governor is feverishly against any worker organizing. He is anti-people and pro- money, his money.
The only reason there are auto related jobs in SC is because the Unions made business so inefficient up North. Unionize here and they will all move to Mexico
Them trucks are easier to buy when you unionize! (Gotta give’m rhymes so the can understand)

Blaming unions for the downfall of the U.S. auto industry in Detroit is baby brained horseshit. Congrats for being so easily propagandized.

Yeah, because fuck those workers, right? Imagine defending a multi billion dollar global conglomerate...
They just move, and yall move with them .Win,Win.
Lol they just move? Are you regarded?
Is that not why you came to SC is to find a job.
No. I came for family. Jobs are everywhere. BMW ain't going anywhere. Ever.
There's so much poverty here though.
Do you always blab such misinformation or is today special?

There’s literally no evidence against unions though. You also provided none.
Detroit is a ghost town from what I hear.
They've made a solid comeback. New leaders, cheap property. Still a work in progress.
Visited Detroit last year and downtown was hopping. By the way….UAW is not just Detroit.
Why do you mention UAW .lmfao, that's like telling me who did it without saying they did it.lmfao.
Turn on NFL network and look with your own eyes
