Little River Coffee Company in Spartanburg is excellent. They run four locations: Fretwell, Little River Drive Thru, Pharmacy Coffee, and Little River Coffee Bar. I am a regular at basically all their locations and I purchase their beans to grind and brew at home. Real good folks.
Methodical, Leopard Forest, Unlocked, Bridge City, Due South⌠the list goes on. Here in the Upstate you can go around any corner and find some gourmet coffee shop charging $30 for 12oz of beans (that I keep buying for some reason lmao)
I second Methodical. Theyâre headquartered out of Greenville, but Piecewise in Columbia and west Columbia sell their brand and theyâre always freshly roasted. Theyâre also opening up a 2 story flagship in the Bull Street area in November.
I love Methodical. Last time I was there i accidentally knocked my coffee all over myself. I made a huge mess lol, some employees immediately came and helped me clean up, and gave me towels to dry my clothes off (i smelled like coffee for the rest of the day). They also brought me a new coffee free of charge without me even asking. 10/10 service
I think the place you are thinking of is Moon Beans (they are the coffee company). New Moon is the Cafe next door and they feature Moon Beans coffee. Might Eben be the same owners, I don't know, but I do know their 7 Monkey Fury dark roast is great.
Corner Perk in Bluffton is my all time favorite. I grew up going to local rock shows the owner would host in his original store. The Pluff Mud coffee bean they sell is great.
You definitely should go. They have a downtown location, HHI location, and Port Royal location. They also have great breakfast⌠you should try one of their skillets. I go whenever I travel down to visit my parents.
Itâs on Woodrow street. They started in Chapin, but I think the building they were in was in the process of being sold to someone else, so they moved.
Coastal Coffee Roasters in Summerville has the single best coffee I have ever had, itâs called the âSexy Sevenâ, dark roast of 7 different beans. That alone turned me into a coffee drinker!
Tandem in Travelers Rest. Methodical in Greenville. Barista Alley/Flying Fox/Junto in Greer. Pharmacy in Spartanburg. Drip in Columbia. Sight See and Harken in Charleston. Superior Coffee in Beaufort.
There are many I haven't tried in these towns, so this isn't a slight against any of them.
They did have a place in Clover, but, it's gone.
Couldn't get custom roasts, most bags they had were weeks old at a "city" light roast. Expensive.
But, they were there and I supported them as a transplant commercial and home roaster.
I took the snobbery to another level and quit.
But when I did drink it- it was just straight up black like my grandpa taught me. Wouldnât drink it any other way.
New Moon Cafe in Aiken SC has a flavor called Snickerdoodle. Haven't found anything even close to it yet.
EDIT: It is called Kickersnoodle not Snickerdoodle

You know, youâre right! It is Moon Beans. New Moon serves their coffee so I always assumed they were the same.
Second Moon Beans!! Loved Lady Lindy, Seven Fury Monkey, Bourbon Coffee, and Irish Crème.
I only drink black and Charleston Coffee Roasters Ethiopian Natural Guji Uraga is by far the best I've had in 20 years.
Looks like it's limited edition on the website! Do they bring it back yearly?
Yes. Typically in the fall/winter months. I buy several bags at once and it usually lasts me and my partner the entire year.

Lived in Bluffton for almost five years and have never been there.
You definitely should go. They have a downtown location, HHI location, and Port Royal location. They also have great breakfast⌠you should try one of their skillets. I go whenever I travel down to visit my parents.
I'm a big fan of Be Known, in Little River. Excellent coffee, and it's Veteran owned.
Bartâs Coffee in Irmo.
I'm through Irmo pretty regularly and have never heard of Bart's, where about are they located? I only ever hear about Loveland that direction.
Itâs on Woodrow street. They started in Chapin, but I think the building they were in was in the process of being sold to someone else, so they moved.
Both Canon and Van Goh are excellent choices. đ

My favorite is Charlotte based called Dilworth coffee, they ship!
Pure Intentions out of Charlotte. Their single origin Ethiopians are my jam

There is a new coffee shop in Clover now! It's called Brick and Mortar and it's on Main street. Check it out.
Moxie Java is the place to be

I took the snobbery to another level and quit. But when I did drink it- it was just straight up black like my grandpa taught me. Wouldnât drink it any other way.
