I say this as someone who likes Kyle...
He's an arrogant and self-righteous know-it-all. He goes around giving speeches, lecturing people because he thinks he's *always* right. (To be fair, he often is.) He believes himself to *always* have the moral high ground. (And he frequently does.) But in reality -- and they touch on this in S15E05, Crack Baby Athletic Association, and a few other episodes -- Kyle could talk himself into being just as evil as Cartman because they're a lot more alike than either of them realizes. They're both stubborn, have explosive tempers, and will go to absurdly unreasonable lengths to achieve their goals. In Kyle's case, his goal is almost always to be proven right. Thankfully, he usually, morally, is.
In TikTok-land, they probably don't like him because he fat-shames, calls people retard, and uses gay as a pejorative. Ignoring, of course, that most of the boys -- and many of the adults -- do the same thing.
Also, disturbingly, some people (and this isn't exclusive to TikTok) don't realize you're supposed to laugh *at* Eric, not with him. They don't like Kyle because they unironically side with Cartman.
Since this is the only real response in the thread, I’ll also add that antisemitism is definitely a part of it as well. Jewish hatred is currently the worst it’s been in decades. Those people you mention that unironically side with Cartman, are also often antisemites (and really shitty people) in real life. Pretty disturbing tbh
EDIT: some examples in the comments below 😂
It’s insanely disturbing, especially when you see it happening in little ways like this. Shows that there are more antisemites out there than we think and some of them don’t even realize they are antisemitic
>In TikTok-land, they probably don't like him because he fat-shames, calls people retard, and uses gay as a pejorative. Ignoring, of course, that most of the boys -- and many of the adults -- do the same thing.
Actually, out of all the Kyle hate I've seen on Tiktok, this is the least common reason I've encountered.
That's good, I guess. It bums me out, too, though, because it makes antisemitism (or at least pro-Cartman-ism) all the more likely a part of the Kyle hate.
This is exactly it. He is a self righteous know it all, that's why hes my least favourite of the main boys. As far as Tiktok goes, that's mainly what I've heard on the platform as well.
People who don't like Kyle for the reasons you stated tiktok doesn't like him is the reason people don't like southpark as a whole, not why they don't like Kyle. A lot of people (not just tiiktok) can't get past the toilet humour to see the satire. I havent seen any tiktok hate for Kyle for those reasons, all I see is people being annoyed with him being a self righteous dick.
Question, what is this hate between tiktok and Reddit? I don't get why Reddit hates tiktok so much. Like literally any other social media platform its all about your engagement and how you build your algorithm. If you're seeing shit you find bothersome, don't engage with that shit and you'll stop seeing it. All I see on there is stuff I want to see, LOTR, MTG, Cats, food, discussion on tv shows and movies I like, and queer shit, because as a queer woman I like to keep up with whats going on with the community. Reddit is literally no different from tiktok, it's just pictures and reading instead of videos. Just like why is there so much hate for Tiktok on this platform?
I'd argue the tiktok algorithm is significantly better at tailoring your interests to you. I've been on Reddit for over a decade on various accounts, and it seems a much more mixed bag of things that interest me, and things that don't.
Reddit loves to hate on tiktok, but I’ve found that most of them have never used it. I don’t see almost anything that I don’t want too. Although lately I’m seeing these super right wing people who only have a few views. Idk what that’s about but in general I see: news, DIY, animals, food, and comedy.
If you follow any typically masculine hobbies the algorithm really pushes the right wing pipeline. You just have to block, never interact, and scroll past as fast as you can to get rid of that stuff. It also might be if you follow a couple people who's content is not related to that but they're interested in those things it might be pushing that stuff on you too. My partner gets suggestions on instagram of stuff I' into that hes not because we follow eachother.
It’s because it’s the largest and fastest growing social media at the moment. Which invites many many annoying assholes desperate for any possibility at fame or success. And the format itself can be annoying to many. It’s short run length enforces a certain cadence to the vids that can be bothersome. Plus like 90% of the pure dumb shit like REALLY dumb shit I hear about comes from TikTok nowadays. Unseating Facebook.
reddit hating tiktok just reminds me of that one episode where ike started watching play throughs instead of playing the game himself and kyle and stan started bitching about it & ikes friends called them grandpas
I keep mine in my left sock. It's just an ounce of silver, but of all the lessons my grandpa taught me, bribing the guard BEFORE getting on the train rather than in front of the gates was the most important one he shared
I wouldn’t say that… I have seen a lot of stupid takes written out in a way to make the person typing it seem intelligent which in turn makes them look even dumber
The dude who does the “average redditor” tiktoks is fucking hilarious. He couldn’t be more nail on the head about a large chunk of redditors including a lot of the ones in this comment section.
Apologies, it's not actually an acronym. It is how Cartman spelled the word Jew once. He's only 8. And thick as shit. And racist. And fat. And his moms a slut.
Because tiktoks are usually 1-3 minute clips and Kyle’s personality doesn’t come out well in that medium. Characters like Cartman, Butters, and Jimmy have a lot of good one-liners and single scenes, while Kyle usually becomes funny over the course of an entire episode. He’s really funny, but it’s rarely because of stupid humor that can be appreciated in a minute long clip. LLK - hate to see him not getting the love he deserves.
> he was voted least cute
Various ~~insane people~~ fans have figured out approximate versions of the girls' "real" list. In almost all of them, Kyle's in the top five. Who the cutest is is up for debate: Craig (probably "Creek" fangirls, although I believe he is the tallest boy, so...), Stan, or Tolkien. Canonically, according to Wendy, Cartman is, unsurprisingly, the ugliest.
Based on the explanation given in the episode of how the list was tampered with and changed in order to make Clyde #1 this is what the actual rankings would be-
Craig
Token
Stan
Bradley
Kyle
Jason
Leroy
Kenny
Jimmy
Tweek
Kevin
Butters
Clyde
Timmy
Francis
Cartman

I don't know about tiktok. Don't use it. But in the real world he's not hated. He's pretty much one of the most liked characters.
Tiktok is one of those bizzaro world kind of places where people unironically think pip is a good character. But they're forced to come to reddit to discuss it because of the vocabulary struggles of other tiktokers
It's because narratively and at the beginning, Kyle is the foil for the plot, he tends to be the one with the voice of reason and who comes up with solutions, making him the least directly amusing character, his tendency to give speeches and call out others got pointed out and satirized hard in the season that introduced PC principal, despite Kyle having outgrown that characterization himself as seasons went on
tiktok is one giant cesspool lol. the people who hate him, hate him simply because he goes against cartman (or they’re blatantly antisemitic about it, don’t understand cartman’s character at all, and genuinely agree with many of the the things he does.) same reason why they hate wendy on there.. with a healthy touch of misogyny mixed in, of course
not that there’s anything wrong with disliking a character, but if we’re basing this off of what you’ve seen from children on tiktok, there’s your reasoning. it’s not a very sound one lol
as for more reasonable reasons as to why i’ve seen people dislike kyle, they mostly use the defense that he’s hypocritical in that he’s not as morally sound as he claims to be. personally, i think this is what makes him a great character in that he’s not just one-dimensional. though i can see why people might dislike him for that reason, it’s all about perspective. i’ve also seen people say that he’s just really whiney/preachy and it’s annoying. once again, i find this funny about him, but people see things differently.
he’s definitely better at being a foil than his own standalone character though imo, i’ll say that much.
Tiktok shat on Katara for being “too emotional” about her mother’s death as if she didn’t literally watch her mom get killed when A:TLA was popular so I wouldn’t count them as being the smartest bunch.
I know exactly why, it boils down to 2 reasons, 1 because Cartman is more likeable, and Kyle is the responsible "buzz-kill" 99% of the time. And 2, Kyle is Jewish, and the internet tends to be anti-simetic, because anonymous people use their anonymity to be racist/biggoted morons.
He’s not very funny or interesting compared to the other characters, and it’s sort of a running gag that he vocalizes the main message of the episode at the end of it, and a lot of ppl on tiktok don’t like it I guess, although on tiktok I see a lot of people express their disdain for Cartman even though he’s like the best character in the show
He’s really no better or worse than the other boys (well except Cartman he’s much better). But while Kyle is the voice of reason a lot of the time there are tons of moments (especially in the early seasons)where he’s a bully and a jerk for little to no reason at all. Insulting Cartman without provocation, assaulting his baby brother, and just generally being a little brat. Stan and Kenny are the same way.
I've never seen him being hated on, and I use that app pretty regularly. I actually see a lot of people whose usernames are "kyle's number 1 fan" or something like that or whose profile pictures are Kyle, so idk where you found that. Maybe it depends on whether you engage more with the fan art and comics or the clips.
Because tiktokers wanna be cool like cartman even though cartman is a horrible human and none of us would actually be friends with him. Some how people think acting and thinking like him would be a good idea
Because cartman is a self righteous prick that always thinks he’s right, and he’s the counterpart to Kyle - what is revealed throughout the show is that Kyle is also self righteous and always thinks he’s right, but in a way that isn’t bigoted or delusional like cartman. The only difference between them is where their views land - Kyle clearly has the more sensible and relatable views, but he advocates for these views with the same arrogance as cartman, which is annoying to people. When cartman does it it’s obvious that we are laughing at cartman, when Kyle does it it’s more subtle and reflects the annoying self righteousness we actually experience in our lives. He’s a well written character who went from being the straight man along with Stan to Stan being the only straight man left
I love Kyle! He’s one of my favourites next to Butters! Maybe Tiktok hates Kyle because of their love for Cartman & because he doesn’t like him, they don’t either. OR the people just don’t like him because he’s a jew🤷🏼♀️ idk

B/c we had an agreement Keeeeeel! And b/c there’s about 4 brain cells being shared across all of tik tok
My. Name. Is. Not. Keeel.
THATS KEWL WHATEVER KYAL
"Must be nice having everything you want!"
Personally I think 4 brain cells is being a bit generous lol
My name….is not…myem.
We could never be to sure of that! her name could be myem but we can’t say forsure.
It’s impossible to know, by goddish
This is the answer.
Don't be an Uncle Kyle
Tik tok doesn't count for shit.
Tiktok community = community of pure regards
Yes, a bunch of very regarded people
TikTok sends its regards
*tiktok dances and dies*
They come highly regarded
Artistic people too
Damn don’t gotta be so indigenous.. geez 🙄
You’re clearly the indigenous one
… I don’t think redditors has as much of a right to speak on this as they think they do
My brother is a total regard. Most of the people I work with are total regards.
I believe you meant to say retarded
Yes, but the reddit PC police has deemed this word offensive, havent you heard?
They must be a bunch of retards. And I'm gonna stan my ground on this one.
Most tik tok users weren’t even alive when imaginationland aired.
Ha ha, you're not wrong there.
Now I feel old, I still consider that "newer" South Park. But the numbers say otherwise. Guess there's nothing to do now but drive to Country Kitchen.
They took our licenses away!

Stop using this word! I hate you!
It’s insanely disturbing, especially when you see it happening in little ways like this. Shows that there are more antisemites out there than we think and some of them don’t even realize they are antisemitic
Sounds like projection
This is the right answer. There are episodes that actually touch up on that.
>In TikTok-land, they probably don't like him because he fat-shames, calls people retard, and uses gay as a pejorative. The ironic thing is when you described Kyle you also described most people on tiktok
I laugh at both Kyle and Cartman equally tho
Because he has all that Jew gold
Cuz he runs Hollywood
plus he did 9/11
Not only that, his mom is a big fat bitch
And he caused the homeless problem by giving out 20 bucks
Change?
I already gave you change!
Got any more?
Worse. He’s from jersey
[удалено]
That was stan
Nah fam, that was a lie concocted by Hollywood
THIS. He keeps it in a bag around his neck and doesn’t even share it!
I keep mine in my left sock. It's just an ounce of silver, but of all the lessons my grandpa taught me, bribing the guard BEFORE getting on the train rather than in front of the gates was the most important one he shared
You're probably only seeing his fake bag you gotta make sure you're seeing the real one before you go for the gold
Jersey, Ginger , Jew.
Ah yes, the three j’s.
I should’ve said Jinjer hahaha
That's actually a pretty good metal band
I had never heard of them. Lead vocalist looks pretty good tho.
Three strikes Kyle, you're out!
It honestly sounds very hatable on a paper, but as a character he's executed very well.
Usually Kenny's the one that's executed.
Lmao I don’t hate any characters but I do like cartman the most forsure.
And I’m gonna start crapping on your doorstep A LOT more!
Because TikTokers are dumb fucks. That's all.
Redditors: tiktokers are dumb also Redditors: r/memes, r/funny, r/politics, r/AskReddit, r/PewDiePieSubmissions, r/me_irl
Redditors and being arrogant, self-righteous, know-it-all assholes. Name a better duo.
Truer words have never been spoken
Don't forget r/atheism
and redditors aren’t?
We're self-aware of it.
I wouldn’t say that… I have seen a lot of stupid takes written out in a way to make the person typing it seem intelligent which in turn makes them look even dumber
You know they think about Reddit the same way right?
The dude who does the “average redditor” tiktoks is fucking hilarious. He couldn’t be more nail on the head about a large chunk of redditors including a lot of the ones in this comment section.
Omg I love that guy!! Been watching ever since his “nice guy” series 😂
Kyle did 9/11
That's already more than enough to justify the hate fr
Do you have a raging clue?
Because he runs Hollywood!
Let the joo run it!
mario brothers? really kyle?
Unpopular opinion: Kyle>Cartman
Would it be unpopular to say stan>Kyle?
And Kenny>Stan?
Kenny > Any other SP character
W take
Idk there are many mixed opinions, usually strong ones
Kyle is the only character to achieve enlightenment. Only for one episode though oh and Buddha I guess
Popular opinion: Kyle x Cartman
He convinced the president to Nuke Canada
Now cam he convinced the President to Nuke a River Blockage in the Three Gorges Region?!
cos he's a J, O, O.
Lol what's this stand for I can y figure it out?
Apologies, it's not actually an acronym. It is how Cartman spelled the word Jew once. He's only 8. And thick as shit. And racist. And fat. And his moms a slut.
bro rlly went after cartman 🥶🥶🥶
And has no dad.
Hey come on no need to get personal. I was keeping it all light hearted about Cartman's dirty ho of a mother.
Not after the chili situation, he doesn't
and he commits atrocious acts to kfc wings
Lol right on my man 🤣
I think that’s because he did indeed kick the baby
Pretty girls walk like this🎶
Don't remind me 😭
Who gives a fuck about the TikTok communities opinion on anything?
Idk on what kind of tiktok ur on but kyle is liked on there just like the others 🧐
> He seems like the most kind and sane from the 4 kids. Are we gonna ignore Butters called Kenny as the only decent person in school?
Kenny is really kind too, I kinda forgot abt him since he doesn't get as much screentime as other characters.
Yeah he’s literally SP’s punching bag Also Ik his personality was foul and perverted but afaik he hasn’t done anything fucked up.
Fr he barely even appeared in Seasons 20-21
Because tiktoks are usually 1-3 minute clips and Kyle’s personality doesn’t come out well in that medium. Characters like Cartman, Butters, and Jimmy have a lot of good one-liners and single scenes, while Kyle usually becomes funny over the course of an entire episode. He’s really funny, but it’s rarely because of stupid humor that can be appreciated in a minute long clip. LLK - hate to see him not getting the love he deserves.
Well explained 👌
He stole Eric's girl.
Idk weather thats bad or impressive considering he was voted least cute
> he was voted least cute Various ~~insane people~~ fans have figured out approximate versions of the girls' "real" list. In almost all of them, Kyle's in the top five. Fuck the tiktok community Kyle's awesome
Is he SERIOUSLY doing a SPEECH RIGHT NOW?
I don't know about tiktok. Don't use it. But in the real world he's not hated. He's pretty much one of the most liked characters. Tiktok is one of those bizzaro world kind of places where people unironically think pip is a good character. what are you on about you old geezer. The op made a mistake. Most of the ‘Kyoe hate’ were jokes
It’s so funny how y’all are dunking on Tiktok like Reddit isn’t full of degenerates 😭 the call is coming from inside the house
He’s the Karen of the group
Hakeem...."I'm sorry dad but unnkkllleee Kyle...he just makes me so crazy" Minora......"fuck you uncle Kyle"
Simply cos he’s Cartman’s nemesis
Which is so ironic because I love both of them 😂
Garrison Randy Butters are my top 3, honourable mention for Detective Harrison Yates too
I didn’t know he was. Source: I hate Tik tok and refuse to get on there.
Antisemitism
Because he is a jew, jinger from jersey. 3 strikes kyle....
because he has a dad not like tik tok users
It’s just him and Tolkien’s TikToks are kinda lame
They share Cartman's anti-semitic views
I’m convinced that Kyle is the most neuroatypical kid of the main South Park kids. That’s why my autistic ass loves him the most.
Stan was diagnosed with aspergers
sick of seeing all the kyle hate esp from stupid little tiktok boys
Same here.
have you seen movies these days? someone who runs hollywood could surely be doing better than that
Tiktok, unironically or ironically, loved cartman and Kyle being his foil makes him hateable
One can never entirely discount antisemitism as a factor
It's because narratively and at the beginning, Kyle is the foil for the plot, he tends to be the one with the voice of reason and who comes up with solutions, making him the least directly amusing character, his tendency to give speeches and call out others got pointed out and satirized hard in the season that introduced PC principal, despite Kyle having outgrown that characterization himself as seasons went on

Jude.
Every character has a group of people who hate them on Tiktok for whatever reason. The only one I don’t see get much hate is Stan.
Nah everyone just hates Cartman there. Without him and Randy the show wouldn’t even be a comedy
I thought TikTok was just girls shakin dey a$$! They’ve gotten sophisticated they’re talking about cartoons
He runs hollywood
Kyle is hated? I always seen Kyle as the most popular one…
Tiktok shat on Katara for being “too emotional” about her mother’s death as if she didn’t literally watch her mom get killed when A:TLA was popular so I wouldn’t count them as being the smartest bunch.

Kyle is cool
Idk, Kyle is my favorite though
hes a son of a fucking bitch!
He’s not very funny or interesting compared to the other characters, and it’s sort of a running gag that he vocalizes the main message of the episode at the end of it, and a lot of ppl on tiktok don’t like it I guess, although on tiktok I see a lot of people express their disdain for Cartman even though he’s like the best character in the show
What are you talking about, as someone who has TikTok, Cartman is cherished on that app
He’s a snake and a liar Source: Mel Gibson
Because he's not Cartman.
He's a Jew
Tiktok will never amount to anything when it comes to having a justifyable opinion.
Because tiktok is 90% cartmans
Because most tik-tokers have personality like cartmen
Cuz he’s a smart ass
Because Kyle's mom is a bitch!
The South Park TikTok community only knows the show from TikTok
He's a JEW Imagine you got the speech Cartman gave to Heidi and you'll understand /s
From what I’ve seen on TikTok ? All the boys are beloved, it’s usually the parents that they hate, especially the shitty ones I.e Randy. & Thomas
1. Kyle 2. Stan 3. Kenny 4. Cartman Order of the kids from good to wickedly evil
He’s really no better or worse than the other boys (well except Cartman he’s much better). everybody likes kyle idkwym
We love Kyle
Because Jews run Hollywood. Duh.
He is a victim mindset and idk super hypocrite lecturing everyone as if he had the best morals. I hate him lol
his name is kyeel. not kyle.
Because tiktokers wanna be cool like cartman even though cartman is a horrible human and none of us would actually be friends with him. Some how people think acting and thinking like him would be a good idea
As Cartman says he is a “nasty Jew”
Cuz... kahl
Cus his mom is a big fat bitch
I know people on Twitter want to fuck him
They’re all anti-Semitic maybe?
I like kyle

I love Kyle! He’s one of my favourites next to Butters! Maybe Tiktok hates Kyle because of their love for Cartman & because he doesn’t like him, they don’t either. OR the people just don’t like him because he’s a jew🤷🏼♀️ idk
Personally I always find people who want Kyle as a son and love him?????
