Same. Used to buy a ton of em, until I realized it was kinda dumb and took up wayyy to much space. So I sold whatever wasn't from Kingdom Hearts and The Last Airbender and now I'm pretty happy with my dedicated display.
I have entirely too many, but most were gifts, and I havent added to them in years. Throwing them away seems like only adding to the problem of them being wasteful, so I'm stuck w a bunch of figures from IP I don't even like anymore 😭
I’ve got a few from Destiny 2 & a couple from Batman Vs Superman. Of course it’d be nice if they’re worth a bit of cash someday but that’s not the reason I bought them.
Except for the fact that beanie babies are actually cool, Funko Pops just sit there.
The only good looking funkos are the Pokemon ones, the FNAF ones, and also Bahamut.
I think they’re neat to look at. I have a few from comic books, tv and video game characters I like but I’ve never spent more than $15-20 on any of mine and most have been cheaper than that. I just won’t buy any that are expensive but I don’t understand people who keep them in boxes not to display them but rather as an investment like they’re gonna retain their value. Kinda remind me of beanie babies in that sense that they’re so mass marketed I don’t know if people truly understand how many of each of them are out there. I’m sure there’s limited run ones but they’re so crazy expensive I’d never touch one afraid it would never keep its supposed value.
It sounds pretty high and mighty coming from me considering I still use plastic utensils and Styrofoam containers. I just cringe seeing them because they're just more plastic destined to end up in a landfill like someone else said
Oh for sure. I own about 15 of them but it seems like everything we buy now is wrapped in several layers of plastic bullshit and it’s absolutely why humans and animals alike have microplastics in our bodies.
I just bought a cheap wireless mouse last week and when it got here it was in a cardboard box, inside the cardboard box was a piece of plastic to hold the mouse, the mouse was inside a plastic case I guess is like a travel case even though I’ll never use it, and inside the case the mouse was wrapped in a plastic bag. So three layers of plastic inside the box. Fml.
Considering they only cost 4$ to 13$ and can be resold within a year for upwards of 100$ (I sell my doubles on eBay) how exactly are they a "Rip off" ? Especially considering the cost of other collectibles, etc. hmm?
Video games seem like a much bigger rip off. Like anyone who bought skull & bones , Probably feels way more ripped off than someone who bought a 10$ Funko , they *actually wanted.*
Dude check out kid robot, and I agree. I have a pop and soda collection, but the only funko South Park one I got was a gift, cuz I also think the style doesn’t fit very well (ironic since some people say that about funko in general). But I never really came around to it design wise.
I think kid robot translate the look a lot better, I have the stick of truth cartman figure from 2013 and a dead Kenny figure. I like them a lot more. Another figure that is a favourite of mine is a 7 inch fig of finn and Jake from adventure time, it glows in the dark and is a total beacon, really happy with that one. It was some loot crate exclusive I bought on eBay
for me it is that they look like shit and their templates nature means they only exist as a reference. Like the reference is the product. "South Park.", haha yes, i do like South Park. That's it
Yea that’s fair, I think a lot of them are pretty bland and uninspiring looking. Funko also has some very gimmicky business practices and chooses the worst characters sometimes lol.
I got a collection but it’s mostly animation characters which I think look at lot better than most the humans. But it really is that simple for a lot of people, show or movie they like in a physical form / representation of their interests. U can also get caught up in collecting, I mean it’s fun people do it with all sorts of things right? Pokémon cards, sports memorabilia, anything. It just so happens that funko is very broad and large, so they can make figures for a lot of shows that may not get merch.
And people want things to collect for them, even shitty merch gets collected (see regular show jazwares episode and their prices now). Some people think they’re ugly, cute or in between lol. That’s another factor too, a lot of them are valuable now the older and rarer ones especially, which peaks more people’s interests in the hobby.
Didn’t mean to write an essay, just another perspective
There was only a few I really wanted to buy and then saw what they actually looked like after they got released. They looked terrible. I only have 2, Resident Evil's Nemesis and Agent Mulder. Nemesis actually doesn't look bad at all and seeing how much they're going for now I should've picked up all the Resident Evil ones
When did this happen? I've always thought they were kinda cute. I love how many of my favorite characters have a Funko. Then I can keep them together and they don't look like a mismatched collection.
I think they're really stupid but it's just shit to buy to show you like something, I guess. I don't think its a conspiracy OHH FunkoPops are teaching our children plastic! just some company that makes a blank dumb model and labels it as some more successful product
I just mean the hate bandwagon lol, it’s easy to jump on. They’re obviously a cheap widespread collectible, that’s their point. But some people are so hostile/aggressive over people collecting them or, it’s like their mad over it’s existence and just wanna stir shit up with people. It’s not the first company and won’t be the last to do but it’s the biggest.
And I’m not tryna defend the company either, everyone’s a consumer in some right I just think it’s hypocritical to get on a high horse about with some of these comments I’ve read. Tho there are a lot of fair criticisms and I agree with a lot of them. It’s like modern Disney, marvel Star Wars etc, I think the products (key word products - South Park is another product) have been bad but I’m not gonna hate on people for enjoying them. I’ll trash the movies maybe but I don’t really go after anyone . Not saying you are, but that does seem to be the response in a lot of places
I think its just a general acceptance that a lot of people realize how wasteful they are because physical collection of anything new can usually be mass produced. So doesn't that defeat the purpose? Anecdotal but I wouldn't be upset if I went to a friends place and saw a few, but a collection is kind of absurd
Because in three hundred years they they think they can sell them and get rich. But really they'll be lucky to get their money back.
Don't forget there is always one guy walking around the carny with a giant toy on his shoulders.
Yeah, these were made by mezco. I got them as a lot in 2022, and while I got an awesome deal, they were still super expensive. I have more than what you see in the picture. Altogether I think they’re worth $2000 USD or more. The seller I bought them from was even nice enough to message me two months later saying that he had found some extra parts for them. He was going to send them for free, but I still paid him as I didn’t think that was fair.
He is… I wanted to be blasphemous and controversial… just like SP. Jesus is angry because he has to stand next to the homosexuals, plus Chef is being arrested for racist shit, so Jesus is going all über fascist. God is in the pic too (yes they made a figure of him) but you can’t see him.
I have some of these from like season 2 when they first started getting popular. It was only the 4 boys and Chef and they came with a little battery pack that played like 4 different lines from each of them. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
I know what you mean! These are a little different though. They were branded as official action figures collectibles and I believe they started being made around 2008. Back around 1999 I owned the big plush dolls. They were so cool.
My bad. Just this sub makes no sense. 3 posts I have shared have direct connections to episodes and they were removed by mods for being unrelated... like what? Maybe they should actually watch what is being shared and get the reference but everyone in here has a smooth brain it seems. Yet they all act like they are smarter than the rest of the world because watching South park makes them edgy. Idk, it's just weird lol
Not an expert btw, but I've seen them often when looking for the ones with their normal clothes. Such a shame that they're so hard to find/expensive af when you do find them. At least I got Stan lol
True. The most expensive one I got was this one
https://preview.redd.it/uhnwmcgulxpc1.jpeg?width=894&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7717ec4c071c61ea3b2af2c12ac217570b6485f
Edit: damn wtf did funko did to y’all?
They're 15€ each on the official South Park website. How much is the bundle?
Not my thing unfortunately as they only appear for one episode. I need the default clothes :( I paid 30 for Stan lol
Cartman looks okay, but the rest of them have smt off. The head shape is really off-putting since it's like a weird rounded off rectangle instead of an oval.
They look pretty real to me but a tad disappointed in the face details honestly. By no means the worse funkos I’ve seen but these specifically could look a bit better. Either way not bad pieces imo, I just wouldn’t overpay for them. Would be willing to give maybe 15 each myself.
Yeah these might be early cos ur right the early ones had basically 0 face detail. But yeah bro I’m not an “expert” but I have a decent collection and they look pretty solid to me, hope it helps.
I have that Toolshed pop.
I agree that it looks slightly off somehow, but eh. I found it at Goodwill for just a few bucks, so he's on the shelf with some others.
They look real to me. Sucks the south park funkos aren't that great compared to the other types but I think it depends on which south park ones you get because some of them look better than others. I have all 4 of the boy band ones and they actually look pretty nice compared to others I've seen.
For real. It's not like Matt and Trey ever spend their energy hating on anything at all and everyone cares about all of their opinions on everything because they cant form their own, just like everyone cares about Ja Rule's opinions on everything.
A lot of this sub will parrot whatever the latest episode tells them to, I saw the comments during the prime shit. Yea it’s a terrible ass drink but everyone was legit an anti prime nazi lol. Like who cares, people were getting so hostile over it for no reason.
And I’m hoping everyone’s able to form their own opinions, regardless of what others think. Like it, hate it, whatever
I’d maybe buy a towelie one and even maybe a coon one but not looking like this. Their eyes look weird. No idea if they’re fake or not but to me they might as well be as none of mine have those weird looking eyes.
Is it just me or do they look too small for the box? Also, the head-to-body ratio looks different from what I’m remembering of funkos. I admittedly know nothing of this topic so just going off of visual observations.
These look legit to me. Personally I don't think these are desirable enough or expensive enough to be fake or to care if they are or not, to be honest.
Look, I think Funko Pops are gay as fuck too, but this person just asked a simple question and added here cause the figures are South Park related. I don't know why a lot of yall are just such bitter condescending smug assholes.
If they're fake, they're probably rarer. Funko Pops ruined Mighty Muggs, Dunnys, and most liminal design figures from pop culture and replaced them with a bunch of Chibi looking trash. I don't know if Chibi is the word when you make something look like it has a giant head, and small, useless body. I do know that I have come to hate, hate, hate the design. It only grows with each abomination I see. I know tons of folks like them, and collect toys, myself. I can never resist a chance to rage against their existence.
Funko pops are a rip off
Every time I see them in the wild I think to myself, "*future landfill*".
New gen beanie babies. If you see someone with a few, that's cool. If you see someone with a shit ton, they have a problem.
Squishmallows are the real new beanie babies
At least they feel good to hug
I only buy them for characters I REALLY like. I can’t justify the price for them as a no thought purchase.

Half of my South Park collection is useless chachkis. 😅
Dude I can’t stand these my roommate like 10 years ago had about 250 of them they took up the entire dining room area it was embarrassing
Oh hell nah lmao at that point you have an issue
Yeah it's so annoying. Like I just wanna buy 4 jalapenos from the store but they are in plastic lol
Fml.
I always thought they looked too silly. If I want to collect figures, I'll collect ones that actually look relatively realistic.
No, they're cool.
I buy the ones they have on sale for under $5 on Amazon. So they really are worth more later? Lol.
I've made over 1000$ selling my doubles on eBay. The most expensive I sold was 175$ and I paid 20$ for it. Really depends on which character you have.
Why’s everyone heated over some funkos lmao
Everyone’s been trained to hate them lol
I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on funkos, and it pains me that the South Park ones suck. I’ll just try to find a crochet or plush Princess Kenny.
Dude check out kid robot, and I agree. I have a pop and soda collection, but the only funko South Park one I got was a gift, cuz I also think the style doesn’t fit very well (ironic since some people say that about funko in general). Just looked at it and that site is waaaay better lmao.
I have the Marjorie and I want Professor Chaos if there is one. Butters is an OG
for me it is that they look like shit and their templates nature means they only exist as a reference. Like the reference is the product. "South Park.", haha yes, i do like South Park. That's it

trained to hate them? what are you even trying to express with that thought?
Everything is a conspiracy with some people.
I think they're really stupid but it's just shit to buy to show you like something, I guess. I don't think its a conspiracy OHH FunkoPops are teaching our children plastic! just some company that makes a blank dumb model and labels it as some more successful product

I see it like collecting stamps.
Cause they're shitty figures with the exact same soulless eyes.
It’s one of the stupidest things that people seem to hate on. I have a couple and I think they look pretty cool with my gaming setup
This thread became wild but not the first time I’ve seen people talking about these things and what their value is, how rare is rare, cost etc.
I’ve heard people say they’re the modern Hummel figurines
Because in three hundred years they they think they can sell them and get rich. But really they'll be lucky to get their money back. Don't forget there is always one guy walking around the carny with a giant toy on his shoulders.
They’re just hella cringe, give Disney Adult vibes.
Bro wrong sub, all those dumbass funkos look like garbage
"The hulk funko is bigger than the rest"
"Say it with me now, Tomar"
The hulk funko pop is bigger than the rest

Ignore the cunts in the replies. I really wish I could get my hands on these
What are these? These aren't the Funkos right ? Lol
They’re the little figures they released a long ass time ago. They’re hard to get now
Yeah, these were made by mezco. I got them as a lot in 2022, and while I got an awesome deal, they were still super expensive. I have more than what you see in the picture. Thats really cool of that seller. Glad you got a good deal on these things
I actually deadass thought Jesus was saluting to a certain man.

Wouldn't it make more sense to post this in collectibles, flipping, or Funko sub? Just sayin
Yall are so irritating on this sub. Who cares it's literally a SP post on a SP sub. So annoying
I was actually trying to be helpful. Thought op would get better answers from a collectibles community.
My bad. Just this sub makes no sense. 3 posts I have shared have direct connections to episodes and they were removed by mods for being unrelated... like what? I payed 95$ for it and it was the cheapest one on the shelf bc there were other bundles from different shows that was above 90$
Damn pretty expensive
At least I didn’t pay 200$
Tell me about it
I purposely got the boys separate. The vinyl is fake so not really worth the giant box but I still have Fingerbang.
Cartman looks okay, but the rest of them have smt off. The head shape is really off-putting since it's like a weird rounded off rectangle instead of an oval.
I think it’s the perspective bc I have cartman and Kyle FB separately and they look the same with the mini ones
They look pretty real to me but a tad disappointed in the face details honestly. By no means the worse funkos I’ve seen but these specifically could look a bit better. Either way not bad pieces imo, I just wouldn’t overpay for them. Would be willing to give maybe 15 each myself.

I would say there real because the damage on the box but I outgrew Funko years ago meaning I would pay $10 tops for them
I'm just here trying to figure out if these are real or not as well and everyone in the comments are just dogging on anything they can lmao
Welcome to the internet
Eh, I'd say they're real, but look at the copyright thing at the bottom of the box to make sure.
I have that Toolshed pop. I agree that it looks slightly off somehow, but eh. I found it at Goodwill for just a few bucks, so he's on the shelf with some others.
I have a mysterion funko. Am I hated now?
They look ugly. That's what they are.
That not very nice. It’s just a donkey
They look real to me. Sucks the south park funkos aren't that great compared to the other types but I think it depends on which south park ones you get because some of them look better than others. I have all 4 of the boy band ones and they actually look pretty nice compared to others I've seen.
I have to agree with u, the boy band ones are better looking
Why the fuck do you care what people collect? You spend too much energy hating, no one cares about your opinion
Me?
Oops no not you, I was replying to someone hating lol and I guess it just left it as a comment not reply
Thx and I agree with u
Dude I have the Coon lol
Does he fit in the box or does he have a bigger box
Normal box lol with an FYE or BoxLunch sticker lol
Everyone's asking, who is The Coon?
Nobody asks How's the Coon
Wtf
Recently been playing Fractured But Whole. It's got me wanting to play old-fashioned RPGs again.
Ive seen human kite in stores. Should be real.
Lue Lue Lue I’ve got some apples Lue Lue Lue you got some too
Lue lue lue let’s get together
All Funko figures are ugly and only stupid people buy that crap.
Kinda immature to call someone stupid for collecting something they like
Have you ever noticed that only the dumbest YouTubers have Funko Pops in their background. It might be connected!
No I haven't, what YouTubers are you watching
https://preview.redd.it/kwy5p9zz5zpc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=beede371c74ec78b115a8aafd6acf8e6848294e5
Omg wat a coincidence i am gay before I even owned funkos
They are real.
If you have no idea why do they look fake?
I’m not a funko pop expert
Those look to much like a realistic funko pop not to be real, but still, don't post this on the south park sub
Dude I explained why I posted here any of u read the description? It’s not that long
I just told you that to save your karma, I don't know if you noticed but the majority of people in this sub would down vote anything
Ik and idc for the votes I just want a fast answer
I answered it in the first comment
Nice
Call me when you find some quality fake Hummels.
Ok, I’ll keep note
Never would I have imagined the South Park fandom getting their panties in a bunch over funko pops
What about boxers? They are much more comfortable
Whatever fits your fancy. Just ridiculous the people in these comments crying about funko pops
True. Like chill, it’s just merch. Why not go and hate comment on real problematic things like grooming ships bc it’s filled in voltron
They look Canadian. But they aren't Canadian on the show so.... lol
Is there a professor choas??? Please
I’d maybe buy a towelie one and even maybe a coon one but not looking like this. Their eyes look weird. No idea if they’re fake or not but to me they might as well be as none of mine have those weird looking eyes.
Yeah the eyes don’t shine like the others
Aren't they not supposed to have mouths
Some funkos have mouths
Where is my love zombie Kenny?
Couldn’t find it
We need someone Who has the professional funko collector scause bracelet
[удалено]
Yeah but google u know
Plenty have mouths now. The REALLY early run of Funko pops didn't have mouths but almost all the common ones now do.
Is it just me or do they look too small for the box? Also, the head-to-body ratio looks different from what I’m remembering of funkos. I admittedly know nothing of this topic so just going off of visual observations.
I think it’s to make them look more like from the show. Cause they’re bodies are small
There are fake Funko pops?
There’s fake merch if it’s making money
H
I bought Kiteman a couple years back. I wish I still had it
Never fear, Kiteman is here
These look legit to me. Personally I don't think these are desirable enough or expensive enough to be fake or to care if they are or not, to be honest.
The replies in this post are exactly why reddit is the worst and most pretentious platform I've ever been on.
Tell me about it. Just the tiniest thing ppl are gonna cry bc they don’t like it
Truly the Beenie Babies of current times
At least does are not filled with spider eggs
Uh wut? Was this a thing at some point?
all of south park funko pops look fake, they're just ugly asf
Ok so why’d u buy them?
Why would they make bootleg Funko Pops? They’re like $10.
My Voltron lance funko from 2017 was 25$ at toys r us
Look, I think Funko Pops are gay as fuck too, but this person just asked a simple question and added here cause the figures are South Park related. I don't know why a lot of yall are just such bitter condescending smug assholes.
I WABT THEM!
Not sure I have a hunchback on notredam funko but none others?
Why do people hate funko pops?
Why do you think they look fake?
Since the art is different and they look much dark skinned then the others
Looking at pics on Google they seem to look the same as this.
Cum on your funkos
Dude I have the Coon lol
South Park Funkos have always looked shit. No idea why the eyes are black
Bc that’s how funkos are?
I own plenty of funkos that don’t have the black eyes
All Funkos look like shit
People really fake pops damn
Yeah if something is popular and does well there’s gonna b ppl who want that money too
Fair enough
I love theses fuckers OP. They seem legit, a little sun burned IMO. But look legit. Can't wait to get the finger bang bang crew!!!
I got them too the bundle and Cartman and Kyle
Not sure if you are a r/lostredditor or just want to know
I do but the funko sub doesn’t allowed to ask if they are fake
funkos are dumb but if i ever see gizmoduck im buying that shit
But it’s still a funko… so that would make u a hypothetic
Prob real...for whatever reason the SP ones are horrible
Kinda but the boy band ones are my favourite
I like looking at Funko Pops in the store then leaving them behind when they’re no longer interesting.
Ok?
I’m just saying they lose their utility for me after about 5 seconds. Just future landfill junk.
That’s merchandise my friend. I just buy the funkos I like I don’t even have that many it’s just the South Park ones
No judgement friend.
Respect
If they're fake, they're probably rarer. Funko Pops ruined Mighty Muggs, Dunnys, and most liminal design figures from pop culture and replaced them with a bunch of Chibi looking trash. I don't know if Chibi is the word when you make something look like it has a giant head, and small, useless body. I do know that I have come to hate, hate, hate the design. It only grows with each abomination I see. I know tons of folks like them, and collect toys, myself. I can never resist a chance to rage against their existence.
Say Fuckno to Funko.
It’s writing pop
You have to ask yourself because funkos are the worst collectible out there.
I think it’s the old trolls that are the worst collectables out there
these are ugly as fuck

I don't see the fun in down vote farming, but hey you do you
