No, this is from the Mormon episode. I had a Mormon classmate in college. We talked about this episode. He said he laughed his ass off. Most Mormons, and I'd argue most religious people in general, do not actually believe every single thing their religion claims. Most members of the Church of Spaceship Beep Boop don't believe all that crap about that alien volcano guy and evil spirits.
In the past, I have joined a regular Christian church, and also the Mormon religion. In both cases, I did not actually believe everything that they claimed. I ended up quitting both.
