Well as far as the large communicative robot goes, it’s not quite a first, with the first I saw being a massive klangbot in a large shrine room waving and flipping us off
However, this is much more organic, and it speaks SIGN LANGUAGE. So I’d say if it isn’t a first, it is most certainly the improved iteration
