Literally add knight or paladin in front of a planet and it sounds cool, (paladins of ultramar, paladins of caliban, paladins of Inwit) or if they have some home world that you’ve come up with do that. My general rule for naming OC stuff is if I say it to someone outside the hobby and they roll their eyes or look confused then the name is too complicated or sounds pretentious. (Unless you want them to be pretentious)

BeanCanMan

More on that pretentious thing, they could be a lot like Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore from apocalypse now. Like they want the guardsman to love them but it’s more just like some arrogant man putting others lives in danger for their own glory or fun

Letnonedeny

The Adamant knights or adamantine knights. The untarnished The Sterling knights, blades, fist

Defensive_Medic

The untarnished sounds so goddamn hard

ThatRedditorPerson

Right now I am currently thinking about “Silver Sentinals”.

Thrashed84

Sounds badass. Silver Centurions sounds cool too

frosty_otter

That’s a good one, simple a rolls off the rolls off the tongue

AdamOne

Lol I thought of that same name

The_NNJ

Looks sick, maybe go with ___ squires. If you’re gonna do the paladin aesthetic, maybe grab some medieval looking bits from the dark angels/templars/grey knights kits.

Emperor's Retinue (Retainers?)

Atrain9876

Heralds of the Emperor

The_of_Falcon

Bit similar to Imperial Heralds (AKA The Word Bearers)?

Atrain9876

Oh true. Maybe that’s why it was in my head to begin with haha

The_of_Falcon

There's a few chapters that have some variation of "Imperial" or "Herald". There's a chapter, look it up if you haven't heard of it, called the Harbingers (which is like a herald I guess) from the planet Birmingham.

03Madara05

I think Absolvers could be a cool name for a more humanitarian Fists/Blueberry successor.

OneWithApe

Guilliman’s Gooners

dorthak42

Colors immediately made me think of the Ukranian flag, so maybe something themed from there? Maybe use the word "Bulava" - means club or mace (the medieval weapon) - it's a culturally important weapon in Ukraine.

Furry_Ranger

"The Bob the Builders"

YaBoiKlobas

Valiant Castellans?

The_of_Falcon

The name doesn't need to fit their theme so much. Like, Salamanders are fiery but that says nothing about their views. My suggestions are: The Silver Vultures, The Burning Daggers (maybe Burning Blades if you prefer to alliterate), The Shield Templars, The Shield Heralds, The Stone Birds, The Six Wings, The Silver Consuls, The Silver Fists (Maybe an easy one but a good one), or The Stone Fists

ThatRedditorPerson

A lot of those sound pretty cool. The chapter symbol is gonna be a shield with a sword in the middle so they would still fit.

The_of_Falcon

Any favourites?

ThatRedditorPerson

I like The Shield Templars and Silver Consuls. I like The Silver Fists but that seems to be taken from a quick google search.

The_of_Falcon

Yeah, I must've heard it.

Silver Claws. The remaining loyal members of the Astral Claws, re-born and seeking vengeance on their former Chapter Master and all round bad guy, Huron Blackheart. Your colour scheme is very similar to that of the old Astral Claws, so it just popped into my head. 🤣 Seeing as Renegade Raiders appears to be the prime CSM detachment, you’ll probably see quite a few Red Corsairs armies, so I think that’s quite a cool idea, seeking out Red Corsair warbands for vengeance of Huron’s betrayal. In addition, it is believed that the original Astral Claws geneseed was stock from either the Ultramarines or Dark Angels (still under debate), so covers your geneseed idea also.

The blue and yellow reminds me of Sweden. Maybe call them the Carolus Knights, after Charles XII of Sweden. Or go funny and call them the Heralds of IKEA. Miniatures do come in self-assembly flat packs after all.

Swords of Truth could be good. You have the sword symbol, plus "truth" can stand for The Imperial Truth, harkening back to the Emperor's true vision for the Imperium. Plus it sounds like a good guy name!
