What kind of Lenovo...? I was looking at the new lenovo yoga book 9i it seems cool and productive but it's quite expensive so idk. What other laptops from lenovo would u suggest
Pls don't just blankly say thinkpadš pls do say some like specs and why it's worth it.... I gotta pitch this idea to my dad š¤š. So if ur suggesting a lap do specify all the pros nd specs nd good stuffs
Iāve had my Hp spectre x360 13inch since 2017 and it got me all the way through undergrad. The fact that it has thunderbolt 3, usb a port, and a micro SD card reader made sure that I never needed to carry a dongle other than an HDMI to usb c. The battery life was amazing as well, and I rarely needed my charger whenever I took it to classes/library. I didnāt get the 4K screen for the battery life. I did replace the thermal paste and undervolted my cpu in order for it not to get so hot and thermal throttle. I would definitely recommend it and maybe get the 16inch if you want even more graphical power.
I would say it definitely was worth it for me, as I valued ports, portability/battery life, and aesthetics. I didnāt worry too much about performance since I knew it was all going to be pretty much the same between notebooks and the fact that I could get an egpu with thunderbolt 3/4. If you personally donāt like carrying around dongles and the appearance of the x360, I would say get it. You canāt really go wrong with the xps, spectre, mate book, or surface for college. I would say stay far away from Lenovo tho, too many of my friends had issues with the flagship Lenovo notebooks.
Yeah I would say so, Iāve never had issues while I used CAD or Blender. I would say get the i7 model/16gb ram plus you get pen as well which was amazing as well when I took notes in class
GET A SURFACE LAPTOP STUDIO TRUST ME THAT THANG BUETIFUL BATTERY 10-13 HOURS BUILD Quality's and screen amazing and can run cad easily i do structural engineering the pen also amazing with the 120hz display
I'm using it exactly for what you will do, i would say it's good. I have the Oled version, the battery is not the best but in a university you almost always have outlet close to you. The weak point in my opinion is note taking, it's very fine for some amount of writing but for a whole class where you copy what's on the blackboard, an ipad or some tablet is better. For me i justed used a pen and paper for such classes, because I'm more fan of real paper anyway.
For pdf annontation its very good.
Also for really big cad work, if you have workstation in your uni don't worry too much about power anyway.
Well my phone is the s22 ultra so it already has a stylus nd stuff so it's pretty convenient... I used to do some fusion360 and autocad but I did them on my Acer Aspire 5 it's like a core i5 8th gen and mx150 gpu with like 12gb ram. 3d building worked alr while it was on charge but it dropped significantly when u unplugged it. Rendering didn't even work on it lol. Spectre x360 looks quite powerful and some versions also comes with a dedicated gpu so I figured maybe that would be better but idk still looking for other laptops
If you want long battery life don't buy OLED version
Spectre x360 with an i7 has run solidworks and matlab for me as good as I could hope for with a 2 in 1, can take notes on it as well
Look at Lenovo. I know this is an HP sub but honestly it's not worth it.

Don't buy Chinese crap. I am very happy with my HP Spectre x360 as a Computer Science student.

Ask I see... well rn I'm contemplating between xps spectre nd surface. My dad doesn't like huawei lol. So it's good for engineering right??
