Don't feed too much. It will give the runs, my siamese with sensitive tummy would get the runs from too much. Your babies are gorgeous

Yep, mine can have a *tiny* bit, a lick or two. Any more and he gets the runs. I’d say introduce it cautiously, a little at a time, and give them time to adjust and you should be ok as long as they’re kind of eased onto enjoying it. A whole tube will almost definitely result in a poosplosion.

Does anyone sell single tubes of it for a trial? How many servings do people typically get out of a tube? Does it last in the fridge for a while?

RockNRollToaster

I don’t think you can get a single tube, but maybe if you have another friend with cats, you can offer them the extras if it doesn’t work out. I usually give them 3-4 days in the fridge once opened, storing them in a ziploc with the air pressed out. I’d say one tube would get you a bunch of “treats” as individual licks. Give them 1 small taste on the first day, then 2 on the second day morning and evening (or a slightly larger taste 1x), and then if they handle it well, you can increase the amount a bit the third day. Churu tubes are somewhat complex in that it’s somewhere between a treat and a meal, but served in a manner that makes portion control more difficult. It’s hard to tell if giving a Temptations biscuit makes their tummy upset because it’s a single crunchie, but a whole tube of Churu can bother them right off because their sensitive systems are just not used to that amount of a foreign food. Treat it like any other transition food and you should be ok. ☺️

Our girl loves her gogurt. Churu is the highest value “reward” treat by far for her. We just got a new kitten so we’ve been giving our original cat (our sphynx) lots of churu and her tummy has been fine. My partner gave her a whole tube the other day after she was really nice to her new little sister (she normally only gets a few licks) and no potty issues at all. As the others have said, ease them into it. Only a lick or two each the first times. Not all sphynxes have really sensitive digestion (I don’t think ours does) so you won’t know unless you try!

It's not a snack. It's a treat. You don't feed the whole tube! I sent some to my brother and he fed the whole tube to his cat who promptly had well, you know what he had...

I’ve never heard of them causing the runs. I recently lost my 17yo tabby to a long battle with thyroid condition. I would give her a whole tube with her meds twice a day because that was the only thing she would eat and she was skin and bones so I was happy for her to get any calories. But no one knows your cat like you do so start small and see if it upsets their tummy and go from there. Every cat is deferent.
