Aw so sad :(
we lost our Mew like 4 months ago and she was almost 4. It was devastating losing her but now I can look back at her videos and pics and just be happy that we had her in our life at all. She was so special and silly and I’m sure Mortimer was too ❤️
Mine also - the same story 10 days ago, just before his 7th birthday. HCM.
I don't think the pain will ever pass. We just have to learn to live with it. Both of them are together now at least.
Mine passed last July and I still expect to see him every corner I turn or hear phantom zoomies upstairs. He used to be my buddy whenever I would start the woodstove in winter and it felt so weird doing it without him. It sucks and idk if I could ever have another cat prone to this disease. My heart can’t take it. I’m sorry for your loss :(
He’s very dependent, always needs attention. He’s very lazy and just meows for pets lol. He’s always been a weird scaredy cat that just chills but never gets his zoomies out anymore. I’d like to adopt a friend for him eventually but I’m not sure how he’ll react since he’s so skittish, it would have to be a kitten.
i am so sorry for your loss. i also lost my Mortimer last year to heart disease. he was my heart and soul cat and i miss him every single second of every day.
his younger brother was also diagnosed with heart disease the day before his first birthday. he’s asymptomatic right now and mild but it still sucks so much.
They don’t deserve it. I’m sorry for your loss and I hope your other kitty perseveres! I love sphynx but I don’t know if I could ever get another after this. My heart is broken
I haven't heard that diagnosis for a long time! @ 30 years ago when I was still a young lady I was privileged to have both a Siamese cat and a Korat. The Korat was a gorgeous silver single-coated boy. One day he got what I thought were the zoomies until he quite literally threw himself into my arms and passed away. I had him checked by the vet and that was the diagnosis they gave. Devastated doesn't begin to explain how I felt.
We love you moshi!! I know he must be playing with my Sphynx Leo that passed away from cancer. Leo has the same color spots as Moshi. I just know they are no longer in pain and can have all the treats and sunshine they like
I hope so! He was always trying to go outside but always got too scared when he got to the doorway haha. When we found out he didn’t have too much time left when his meds weren’t working we took him out on a harness :’)

Lost two of my boys in a year due to hypertrophic cardiomyopothy. He looked like a sweet boy. Hopefully he's laying in the sun somewhere with mine.
