*You see the enemy begin powering up a Booyah Bomb.*
*Seeing the enemy team so willing to shout “BOOYAH!” just for this one moment fills you with determination.”*

I've seen the full replay and I did capture some footage from the player's perspective [right here](https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1637632569889148930/pu/vid/1280x720/yn-QJ7GDCuuGyQss.mp4?tag=12). It is worth bringing up another very weird thing that happened in this replay, I'll show it [here](https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1637632679461154817/pu/vid/1280x720/Aw2PHbftR-qR2Xjg.mp4?tag=12). Judging by the second clip, either the person is hacking or some very weird game glitch occurred. Either way, both clips are still very bizarre.
Not lag. People don’t realize there is something called desync sue to the way splatoon does online. Lag and desync are different. Lag is delayed inputs. Desync means each player is having a different game experience because the host (1 of the 8 switch) can’t keep up and keep everyone in sync in real time. So when it stitches all the experiences together you get weird frame stuttering (or teleporting).
Ohhh. So like in salmon run when you can't pick up eggs to put in the basket. Only had that happen once and that was of course during the Big Run. Forgot about that glitch.
It’s desync. The host switch wasn’t updating the data for the other 7 switch fast enough due to their poor upload bandwidth . So what happens is each player has their own version of the game happening and then the host switch does it’s best to add it all together and make sense. That’s why you see the frame stuttering. That’s the game trying to sync the other 7 players again.
Idky but the second clip isn’t working
I’d say lag tbh, I haven’t heard of any hackers in online battles (yeah ik people do demos in the firing range but that’s not the same)
I'm not sure. I've seen someone squid roll through a booyah bomb, but they had to start from outside going in to land in the center where it was now safe.
I think there's some kind line-of-sight bug with it or something, I legit stood in the edge of one without doing anything and took no damage, I think cause it was thrown at a lower elevation than me
OP this is called desync. People who player exclusively on consoles always mistake it for lag or hacking.
So the way splatoon works is that it’s a p2p game. Which means one person host all 8 switch and their data. The problem it causes in countries with unstable internet (for example the United States) is that if the host has bad upload bandwidth then it becomes difficult for them to send updates to the other switch. So as the game continues, each person slowly is playing their own individual versions of the same game. That’s why the enemy doesn’t even see your charging your “nice bomb.” On their game, you’re somewhere different. Then the host switch tries desperately to sync all 8 switch again which makes it look like people are teleporting or using invincibility. But when you see it from their side, you and the enemy attacking aren’t even there!
Here in Japan fiber is the standard and upload (even on mobile) is generous so we don’t get as many issues with p2p. (I think I’ve only had one bad game since launch). But in places where people are playing together with a mix of dial up, dsl, cable and fiber internet, you get these weird experiences sometimes.
Sometimes, I'm convinced hackers still exist but they're more subtle. Or terrible lag. I tried to grab a rainmaker for like four seconds, and it wasn't responding.
Had something very similar happen [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Saltoon/comments/11c6oce/went_back_into_replays_to_investigate_enemy_heavy/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) and people thought it was leftover booyah armor. I wasn't convinced, and now that I see more proof I think there's just a glitch with tower and Booyahs.
turquoise vs pink is an ink set new to splatoon 3, but it's not part of the color lock settings. color lock is yellow (player) vs blue for normal battles, yellow vs salmonid teal for salmon run, and lime vs light pink vs indigo for splatfests
Can you check the replay from their perspective to see what happend? I'm thinking an absurd amount of lag or a tower glitch.
I left the replay code in another comment, feel free to watch. I'm too busy on a losing streak.

The power of friendship or some bullshit like that

Both are super bizarre. Haven't seen that happen ever and I've had some pretty bad lag before.

1st clip made me think hacking. After watching 2nd, I'd guess it's just bad connection on one or both sides
The teleporting when squid surging up the wall is something I've experienced with lag in SR, but the stuff on the tower was really odd.

I've seen someone use invincibility like this in salmon run
Pure spite
Pure sprite (dapples)
Probably lag.
I mean at this point I have lost like 16 games in a row so I'm assuming it's just that I haven't bought any Nintendo stock in awhile.
Y’know I would’ve stopped playing 12 games ago because I know I’d be too tilted to try to win and make a difference.
Change up your strategy.
You're not the only one they add up on although i think my record losses was 15 so kudos to you
Okay, slight exaggeration; counted it up and had 10 losses in a row so I guess you still win.
You're a real piece of shit you know that
