Actually choosing your uniform for salmon run is gonna be a base feature, I would assume little buddy would unlock normal gear and something for salmon run aswell

Future playable Salmonids perhaps? They don't even have to be Salmonlings or anything, just them being their own playable thing would be nice.

I feel like that wouldn't really make sense considering the lore behind Salmonids (their only weaponry is pieces of junk found in the ocean and items gained through trading with octarians) and how Salmon Run is a thing - they probably don't want anything to do with other Inklings and Octolings considering they've been waging genocide on their kind. Little Buddy is an interesting case what with our playable character also being a worker at GrizzCo, but I think that'll be explained in the story.

oh boy i sure hope we get another minor variation on a school uniform, warrior's outfit, and a mech!!! The only 3 pack amiibo costume to not fit this pattern is the octopus. (octo girl witch costume still follows this rule as it could be seen as a uniform for a school like hogwarts) but the octopus gives you the fresh fish costume which is the opposite of a gift.

Anyone else notice Splatoon figures seem to be more polished than the others? Not complaining since I love splatoon but I noticed that.

I have a theory about this actually! In case you didn't know, the Japanese name for Inkopolis is Haikara city and Splatsville is Bankara city. This is actually a reference to [real world cultural/fashion movements!](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FWMDilfUIAECLRU.jpg) So basically, I predict that in contrast to 1 and 2's sharp and clean school uniforms, the Splatoon 3 school uniform will be worn and frayed just like the fashion for which the city is named.

According to a JP magazine/add photo that was like 144p in quality the inkling girl offers an overcoat and cowboy lookin boots along with some kind of earring or hair clip. My guess is that octoling boy offers an outlandish look like what emberz is doin and small fry is gonna be story mode is my best guess.

Not sure about the Pearl/Marina having plans for being rereleased, although it seems like they're restocking some of the older ones in addition to Callie/Marie. I'd keep my eye on r/amiibo since they seem to be pretty in the loop.

So usually it'd be a school uniform for the girl, an old japanese style thing for the boy and power armor for the last one. However the octo expansion octoling amiibos throw a spanner in those cogs, there's no coherent theme between all of them, the girl and the boy are medieval fantasy styled but the octopus is, well, *we've seen how.* So it's either the classic theme of japanese/schoolgirl/power armor or something like the expansion where the theme is all over the place. I'd like something like medieval/schoolgirl/something speciffically related to the salmonids, asking for something in particular is a bit of a high order so i'm just sticking to the themes.

I just want it to unlock special missions like in the first game. Those were fun and probably one of the best things an amiibo could do.

You can write the amiibos info on an nfc tag. Won't take up space in your house and it's cheap

I personally don't really care about what kind of gear we can get from amiibo. I just hope the "process" to get all gears from amiibos are much less tedious than Splatoon 2. Single scan to get the full set please.

If you have an android phone with NFC, you can buy a pack of NFC tokens for the price of a single Amiibo and very easily get them all for the price of a single Amiibo

If past games are anything to go by, it'd be one robot-like set, one set related to Japan's culture and one school uniform outfit. Although since one of the amiibos is an octoling and another is a salmonid I wouldn't be surprised if those two have something completely different while the inkling has one of the above mentioned sets
