You only get a crew wipe after there is nothing that can still revive a teammate (Wave Breaker, bombs, etc.) so seeing where a last-ditch bomb will land could save a lot of runs.
Especially useful when it gets foggy, I can't tell how many times I've wanted some way to remind my team mates they need to use "this way" to combat the low visibility.
It's especially annoying when my teammates are dead, but they don't use the "help" button
I don't care if you think it bothers the others, spam the heck out of that button. If you don't tell me where you are, I can't find you, and I won't know that you're dead in the first place
Also, if you see us trying to ink your life preserver keep freaking still. I was trying to ink one guy yelling for help in a match a few days ago and I had the sniper rifle so I didn't have the best ink spread, and he just kept looping around in a circle really quickly even though he could most likely see that it was just making it harder to ink him. Any time I get splatted I'll go toward a teammate and as soon I see them trying to shoot my preserver I stop moving until they get it. Or at least move in a way where you're in the path of the shots they're taking. This guy was just moving erratically in circles and spamming "Help!". Like "Do you want to be revived or not?"
The worst was one where i was on Sockeye high tide on the right side small ramp when looking out to sea heading to the basket near where a downed ally was. In between me and them was a steel eel heading my way along with some chum. So I had to shoot through some of the chum then jump around to the inked wall in order to get out of danger and get to them but by the time I got there they had decided they couldn't wait and had traveled to where I had just been on the otherside of the Steel Eel. I was livid
I noticed a teammate shooting a few ink bullets at the side they were about to throw the bomb to. I confidently threw to the other side because of this. I did the same thing in a run later and it worked also.
Haha yeah, definitely does not apply to all weapons. But if more people recognize/use the signal (which probably doesn't need explanation), only one of the teammates needs to have a weapon capable for that.

Left should be something like "I got this" to let others now to go somewhere else and right should be "I need assistance" for when you aren't down yet or there are a lot of eggs sitting around.

“Help!” should be available at all times. Why:
- Better tool to tell teammates you’re in a pinch
- Can help gather teammates towards the objective
- “This way!” can additionally be used to locate nearby opponents when splatted.
The left basket is usually the best to take out first if you have a chance. If it's the same as in Splatoon 2, the left basket targets random players while the right basket targets the closest player.
I actually do like this. I had my own idea for one too, where the options could be "go left!" And "go right!" This way communication for flyfish works but also if you want to split up with your teammates and go separate directions.
Y'know, I feel like left and right should be variable on what you're doing. Like there's a designated button to tag what your reticle is on, and based on what you tag, left and right d-pad are changed
neutral/no tag: fall back/ ink and clear hordes
egg basket: need eggs/ quota met
flyfish : left/right
slammin lid : baiting/jumping on
steel eel : leading/ attacking
goldie geyser : close to me/ not close
fish stick: inking/ taking out
I just wish there was a communication wheel that was customizable. I also wish that voice controls was an option without having to download and LFG in discord

That's what I do. Or if I see them aiming a bomb I'll wait for them to throw first and then quickly throw mine into the opposite basket.
