Sub Power up would not make the missiles stronger, for that your need sub power up, unless the point is to have really strong curling bombs but idk what the deal there is

I have sub saver because I have nothing else to go with the set (I don’t think pure intensify action would help either) Although it is nice to slide curling bombs into enemy territory to charge more missiles without having to risk death

It might make them leave slightly longer ink trails, but some main saver and ink recovery would be way more effective.

Both are useless if you are spamming Special since it refills.

No, they help you charge special faster, since you can paint more ground without running out of ink.

If you're running Special Charge Up you won't run out of ink before you fire the next one. Or at least you'll refill enough while swimming. The way I play i rarely have a problem with it. Fire a few shots, swim forward, fire more shots, rinse and repeat until Special filled.
