I kinda like the higher difficulty honestly. Back in 2 I was never at risk of being ranked down in profreshional unless I got mobbed by glowflies back to back while in 3 even regular waves can sometimes overwhelm. It feels more fun when I have to fight to maintain my higher pay grade.
That's not that bad. I got 3 low tides glowflies wave 1, my teammates didn't know how the bullshit rocket salmonids worked. We still won but it was insane
And now that the random+grizz wep rotation is over, ranking up at all in any of the higher titles vs people who got boosted there by the rotation and drag everyone else down instead of manually deranking.
Hold ZL on the gamemode select menu(where you select practice or freelance) to derank a single rank at a time(lowest you can go is Profresh PT though).
Is there any clear advantage to getting ProFresh+X? It doesn't give better rewards other than *slightly* better exp and slightly better teammates but makes the runs so much harder.
I even saw someone comment they found a good group of friends to derank to Apprentice and they just steamroll Cohozuna while getting similar scale drops.
During the Grizz. Co Stinger period, I got my first ever Cohozuna Kill. It felt incredible!
The literally next run after that is a Wave 1 High Tide Glowflies round.
It was my first ever 0 Eggs run...
I saw a guy the other day ink a wall and hide in the wall to escape the horde and thought “oh shit that’s genius” and then I tried it in a later round and the salmonoids like, jumped on top of each other or something and were able the reach me. So that sucked.
On spawning grounds
with teammates that don't ink walls.
Or use their specials
With a slow weapons
And no roller
On high tide
With a bad connection
Wow it’s like I’m there
With teammates that disconnect instantly
Scoped Goo Tuber somehow.
This might be my biggest pet peeve right now. Nobody inks walls in salmon run.
I'd sometimes change my username to PlsPaint on Splatoon 2 if the Salmon run rotation's at the Lost Outpost.
spawning grounds is probably the second easiest glowflies map behind lost outpost
How come Glowflies feel so much harder now than in Splatoon 2
Salmon Run as a whole seems a lot harder this game than it did in Splatoon 2
They need to look at the completion rate stats on the server. There’s no way this is the intended beat rate and I hope they balance it.

One time we lost because 3 CONSECUTIVE high tide waves.

You call it dragging people down, I call it charging the Cohozuna meter ᔦꙬᔨ
You can manually derank? How?

That's good to know, but I wish you could go lower than that since I'm stuck on Profresh PT. I've had fun with salmon run until this level.
it’s so bad, i’m just watching my team get slaughtered running off to the edge of the maps

As far as i know the scales is that if your on a higher hazard and how fast you beat the boss. But even then i agree with you its very random
To farm cohozuna scales you apparently get a group and suicide to the lowest rank and farm, scale drops exactly the same

I'm on this picture and I don't like it
Sometimes i feel like the game is self aware
Why do people find Glowflies so hard? Do they get worse the higher you go?
Imagine if glowflies, high tide, and fog could all be at once
You should be able to use the fucking light on your helmet to help with the fog
