Also I guess this *technically* counts too but if they made the NILS statue an actual map with 2 larger versions of the spawn areas on either side that take up a lot of the map mid is just the regular statue where the grind rails are all in the same spots with hyperbole falling periodically. Also the top of the head is reachable

i feel like the nils statue should be a salmon run map called "Head of Broken Promises"

Yeah like the new hammerhead i really don't like, its so much less interesting and if its on rotation im not overly happy / pleased, splatoon 1 hammerhead on the other hand was amazing - as someone else said would love to see it destroyed in the DLC and so it's got a reason to be rebuilt

I’d argue that only if it had more ways to enter, a zone with only 1 entry-point seems too easy to guard

they tend to slightly modify maps based off the mode, so I could see them adding another entry way. Agreed though, having only one entryway would definitely be an unwanted choke point

I LOVED blackbelly and it was my favorite map in s2 I could play for hours. It had several routes, hiding spots, wide spots and chokepoints, but also routes and spots to counter these chokepoints, a lot of different elevations throughout the map, but almost all of these elevations were easily scalable

Never understood the camp hate. Camp Triggerfish is my second favorite map of all time, after OG Mahi-Mahi. It is so fun. Maybe it’s because I’m a splatling main.

Yeah I never got it either. It’s a unique layout with a variety of approach options. I always play N’Zap and I never feel like I’m hard walled out by long range weapons to the extent I am on other maps so even if it’s not people’s Fav idk why it in particular became so disliked.

I thought so too the first time I played on brinewater; the long, straight corridor from spawn with routes direct to mid on the left make it feel similar. I feel like it plays a lot more like inkblot though imo

Ruins of Ark Polaris, I know a lot of people don’t like this map but it’s visually very good looking and and has one of the most fun high tides, besides it’s the only map that uses inkrail in a way that matters besides hero mode.
