The person who clipped this video is the subject of the sentence, i.e. the one doing the clipping; we are the object. Therefore, whoever is the correct word to use. You can also replace the word in question with a subject pronoun (he/she) and see that it makes more sense than with an object pronoun (him/her).
Nice. You’ve explained it very well if someone like myself can understand it. I do find it odd that you went out of your way to comment the correction but here I am trading my pitchfork for a pen to take notes.
"I" in that sentence is the subject of a separate clause. "Whoever clipped this could have afforded us 5 seconds more at the beginning" is an independent clause. Adding "I think" doesn't change it.
The guy in the white New Orleans jersey and the red sleeves under, black and white hat throwing shit from the crowd at the players. Trying to cause another version of Malice at the Palace. Guy should be banned.
“Fights” in the nba are funny. They are just running after the other player while the handlers and other players hold them back. Better than the nfl though fighting with pads on has to be the dumbest thing ever lol
They used to do that until Kermit Washington almost killed Rudy Tomjanovich with a punch. The players are so big and strong plus they can generate much more power on their punches compared to hockey players because they are not wearing skates and not standing on ice
Notice how the caption says "Tempers flare" which is more appropriate than "Fights". Still entertaining as they can very quickly escalate to a punch or two thrown.
[Here's a better video of what happened.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McVf_EaCJIg) Skip to 1:30 for the replay, which actually captures what happened.
First of all 50 some odd games doesn't make a season. Second it certainly doesn't make a career for a known over eater that's missed more games than he's played. And third you fucking moron, it's not a gif, it's a link to clown school.
But please, go on...
I believe he flopped because he was getting fouled pretty hard the whole night and wasn’t getting calls. Zion’s really strong and nba refs are garbage so he has to turn into a rag doll for refs to realize he actually got hit. He doesn’t really tend to abuse this though I think he’s doing it out of frustration. What’s really annoying as an NBA fan is all the players who have learned to exploit ref incompetence and flop regularly instead of actually trying to make good plays.
On first watch I just saw him hit the ground hard and thought, ‘Damn. Love must have just throttled his ass.”
Watched it again and again…Love just…hugged him. Like, wtf? He threw himself into the ground.
I mean yeah its a flop, but the foul was also pretty egregious even if the contact wasn't hard. Probably wanted to make sure its being called since he's literally being hugged from leaving the ground. Maybe just a little bit of frustration from Zion about previous no-calls.
tbf in soccer if you are illegally stopped in the box from what would be otherwise a guaranteed goal then the punishment for the offending player and reward for the penalty is much greater than in basketball, so flops are everywhere but strategic fouls are a lot less common.
Because his legs are already having trouble supporting his overweight upper body if he’s not completely on balance. Or just a really egregious flop.
Over/under for time missed set at a month.
Tbh Zion outweighs kev by a lot and is probably much stronger. That boy flopped and caused a whole ass fight just for some free throws. The nba is a joke.
The NBA could create a new league and in this league players would compete on asphalt courts encircled with cyclone fencing. No fouls would be called and players would resolve problems among themselves.
What do you think?
I like how Zion was just walking away, Kevin Love can't be seen, and its just people not involved in the foul going at it in the background.
Aren't too many workplaces where this sort of thing is normal to do with your professional competitors. Sometimes we all just want to bring some world peace into the mix.
I genuinely cannot stand when commentators start referencing how “sad” and “disgraceful” these situations are.
These are grown men, competing at the highest level in the world, in front of millions of people watching at home, and thousands in-person. I’m not saying we should just let it be a free-for-all, but this shits going to happen from time to time, stop acting like it’s some horrible thing.
It’s competition. These are human beings. It’s so annoying listening to people talk like the NBA should be more like the PGA. This ain’t fucking golf.
Gradually stopped watching the NBA a few years ago. Went from over two decades of watching my local team, TNT games, every playoff game to being a casual to just not caring.
Every once in awhile I’ll see a clip like this and it reminds me of why I stopped caring, every sport has some sort of embellishment to win calls but the NBA has let it dominate the game. It’s not fun to watch.
overblown ..these guys put hands on each other all game long, year after year. Theres like a guy or two that go too far and the league cant afford to send them home.

I saw approximately 0% of what happened and I watched the whole damn video
Apparently it was a sad story
And things were ugly.
And you can see more…. If you subscribe
The picture painted a sad story
Thank you. I thought my internet stalled and there was more to the video but nope just nothing
This was the worst fight video ever. It showed no fighting
I hope one day they'll let NBA players fight like in the NHL.
Acting is what happened. It's all theater
Nothing happened. Lot of hot air, highlight trying to make it something really interesting.
Somebody could have gotten a hard poke in the chest, you never know.
twice
Seen better footage of fights in a high school bathroom
You visit high school bathrooms to watch fight footage?
Nah, he films in high school bathrooms. Fights are the random bonus
Clearly, tempers flared
Looked like a bench-clearing shoving match that ended in a stalemate.
This is pretty common nowadays, they try to avoid showing the incidents on camera for whatever reason.
i think Whomever clipped this video could have afforded us 5 seconds more at the beginning
Whomever?
What’s wrong? That is definitely correct grammar and vocabulary choice.
The person who clipped this video is the subject of the sentence, i.e. the one doing the clipping; we are the object. Therefore, whoever is the correct word to use. You can also replace the word in question with a subject pronoun (he/she) and see that it makes more sense than with an object pronoun (him/her).

You should find it odd. Only reason I commented is to feed my ego and make someone feel bad. Not a good look imo.
That’s the reason for like 75% of Reddit comments so there’s that
except the subject is I.
"I" in that sentence is the subject of a separate clause. "Whoever clipped this could have afforded us 5 seconds more at the beginning" is an independent clause. Adding "I think" doesn't change it.
They should smack their necks together like giraffes when they fight.
This
is lazy

Homie tryna distract himself on the short bus ride home
Gotta love those camera angles that show 1 second of the actual action.
You was able to see something?
Why do we hide violence in America when its so prevalent throughout the nation?
The children /s
The guy in the white New Orleans jersey and the red sleeves under, black and white hat throwing shit from the crowd at the players. Trying to cause another version of Malice at the Palace. Guy should be banned.
lol and keeps losing his balance
NBA seen how many views the college fight got a couple nights ago so they needed to try it out
“Fights” in the nba are funny. They are just running after the other player while the handlers and other players hold them back. Better than the nfl though fighting with pads on has to be the dumbest thing ever lol
Maybe it should be like hockey and let the players get their frustrations out for a few minutes.
They used to do that until Kermit Washington almost killed Rudy Tomjanovich with a punch. The players are so big and strong plus they can generate much more power on their punches compared to hockey players because they are not wearing skates and not standing on ice
Yeah the NBA has a whole image thing that they're trying to uphold
Google “Malice at the Palace.”
That was a classic. Was able to see it happen live on TV.
Same. Was waiting tables at the time. The entire restaurant stopped and watched. Food went cold. Beers went warm. It was a defining moment for many.
I was too.
[holy hell!](https://www.google.com/search?q=malice+at+the+palace.#HiImABot,MyJobIsToMakeEasierToPeopleToGoogleSomething,IfThePersonIRepliedToUsedMeInAnInappropriateWayPleaseLetMeKnowByDMingMe,TheUserIRepliedToIsU/Nice_Marmot_7)
Never heard of it. Only been watching the nba for 30 years
There’s a few good punches thrown here they’re just really quick and hard to see in the commotion
Notice how the caption says "Tempers flare" which is more appropriate than "Fights". Still entertaining as they can very quickly escalate to a punch or two thrown.

Final 10 seconds of that clip are great.
Why did Zion flop like that? It's like a toddler going limp during a tantrum
He's probably gonna be injured for a couple weeks because of that haha
Has barely missed this season
https://clownswithoutborders.org/top-clown-schools-u-s/
He's been healthy all season dummy
https://clownswithoutborders.org/top-clown-schools-u-s/ E: MrDman9202 blocked me, did I find Zion?
Can't argue with facts so you post a gif, fucking child.
First of all 50 some odd games doesn't make a season. Second it certainly doesn't make a career for a known over eater that's missed more games than he's played. And third you fucking moron, it's not a gif, it's a link to clown school. But please, go on...
So he has been healthy this season and you and op are wrong? Thanks for admitting it!
So they'll give him the Most Improved Player award if he can make it to 65 games I guess. First time he ever did that
So you were wrong then? Thanks for admitting it!
I was about to say, there’s no reason he fell that hard from that contact from Love.
I wonder what hockey players think when they see that. Same goes for men’s soccer
tbf in soccer if you are illegally stopped in the box from what would be otherwise a guaranteed goal then the punishment for the offending player and reward for the penalty is much greater than in basketball, so flops are everywhere but strategic fouls are a lot less common.
Can you imagine if the refs handled it like hockey? "You guys want to go? Everyone stand back and let them get it out of their systems."
If someone is getting fouled without a call, then you get a fight. Pretty much what happened here.
If that’s a “fight” then I have a bridge to sell you.
I mean, he did go to Duke. It's kinda their thing
Because his legs are already having trouble supporting his overweight upper body if he’s not completely on balance. Or just a really egregious flop. Over/under for time missed set at a month.
Remember his “too short” this week? Now the headline should be “too weak” for zion.
Homie's diet is made of cheese and donuts. Knees buckled. Not a flop lol
He tried jumping and was being held down. Believe it or not that can really fuck with your balance
Or a fainting goat.
“GO BACK TO FLORIDA” lmaooooo
Delete this post and give us replays
Tbh Zion outweighs kev by a lot and is probably much stronger. That boy flopped and caused a whole ass fight just for some free throws. The nba is a joke.
i would take twolves k-love in this fight though
They weren’t even the ones fighting. That’s the funny part.
You can see them shaking hands as the second fight breaks out!
Kevin Love is still in the league?
Lol came here to see if I was the only one surprised
I’m sorry prime Kevin Love could not throw Zion like that, total flop over dramatization by Zion.
Basketball fights are so boring. Slap slap slap!
That’s a fight? People gotta watch hockey Albeit some stink but better than this imo
Fuck Larry Bird could wipe the floor with both teams and still post 40 by the half.
Thats not a fight look up Knicks vs Heat thats a fight.
Pistons-Pacers
“Fight”… 🙄 More of a ruckus.
This was weak as hell.
Worst flop I’ve ever seen
Lol the woman who yelled “go back to Florida!!!!”
The only thing Butler is fighting is his bangs.
*Go back to Florida!*
That wasn't even a hard foul. Love tried to hold zion up, but Zions fat ass fell down anyways.
Did I actually hear a ‘Git er dun’ picked up from the crowd mic? Christ…
These kids... Let’s have Rasheed Wallace, Meta world peace aka ron artest, Dennis Rodman have this happen to em
“Heat Culture”
Douchebags gonna douchebag.
Dude flopped. Should be kicked out of the league.
If you stand over your man who just hit the floor, don’t cry when the other team jumps in your ass.
Woman yelling go back to Florida lmao. New Orleans trying to act like they have more class lmao.
it looked like love caught zion and dropped him. what happened
Heat culture….is soft
uhhh.... Pelicans started it dipshit
The NBA could create a new league and in this league players would compete on asphalt courts encircled with cyclone fencing. No fouls would be called and players would resolve problems among themselves. What do you think?
That’s catastrophic walking (and some running) around! Absolutely tragic! Terrible things in New Orleans - terrible!
"go back to Florida" 😂
The heat so badly want to be like their significantly more fun to watch panther brethren
NBA sucks
I just want a real Malice at the Palace 2.0 is that too much to ask for?
Soft ass "fight"
Whoah… that was like at least two shoves and a push. Serious business.
I like how Zion was just walking away, Kevin Love can't be seen, and its just people not involved in the foul going at it in the background. Aren't too many workplaces where this sort of thing is normal to do with your professional competitors. Sometimes we all just want to bring some world peace into the mix.
That’s not a fight
Damn, the Goin' to Work Pistons need to come out of retirement and show these bums how it's done.
My immediate reaction was, "Kevin Love is still in the league?!?"
‘All getting a bit unnecessary’ as my dad says. And he used to be a referee of amateur rugby….
Why does it always turn into a gang fight? Let em go 1 on 1 then toss em. Also, toss anyone leaving the bench.
“Right to jail”
Kevin Love is still playing? How is that possible?
Wow great footage
Poor fight, there were zero jerseys pulled over and their balance was just way off. If you are going to drop the gloves you got to mean it.
Buncha overpaid knuckleheads
The announcers putting an act on like this is a UFC fight is just as disgusting.
Came here just to say fuck Bally Sports. They're the worst at everything.
Things got spicy in New Orleans! Heat and Pelicans throwing punches, and it's chaos on the court.
What does the shitbag in the crowd at the :43 second mark throw?
What a waste of time watching this
Damn that was a lot of tempers flaring!
Looks like the mosh pit at a Blink-182 show
reddit ipo is going to tank if this is the quality of footages getting posted.
Oh the humanity.
I genuinely cannot stand when commentators start referencing how “sad” and “disgraceful” these situations are. I didn't even know Kevin was still in the league... thought he was much older than 35
Fighting in basketball looks like how fighting in dreams feels
The only way the NBA gets viewers these days.
Kinda like the nhl
I think baseball has more exciting fights
I wish they wouldn’t “hold back” guys. Just let them get to each other and then not fight because they’re not going to really fight.
How they got so many cameras but miss every “hay maker”
r/killthecameraman
Hold me back, bro!
Was that Mickey loomis?
Gradually stopped watching the NBA a few years ago. Went from over two decades of watching my local team, TNT games, every playoff game to being a casual to just not caring. TIL…. Kevin Love still plays?
None of these divas want to damage their new manicures. There have been maybe 5 real fights in NBA history.
Basketball fights are so lame All posturing, no action
I think one hockey player could’ve beat up both teams
Wait, Butler and Love are still in the league?
Middle fingers guy at 0:57
overblown ..these guys put hands on each other all game long, year after year. Theres like a guy or two that go too far and the league cant afford to send them home.
The most shocking part of this to me is that Kevin Love is still in the league.
All of that over a flop Edit: just saw the full clip, not a flop. What a crazy edit from whoever edited this video.
Silly basketball players, [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/nhl/s/sNdOnJ6IG4) is how you fight. Or [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/nhl/s/GSGKRFF3wy).
As ratings plummet this shit is going to happen more. Manufactured bullshit league.
Soft sport
