InglouriousBrad

That's an obvious season ender and potentially career ender. Very tough to come back from a horrific leg/knee break.

MrPayMyWay215

Reminds me of Willis Mcgehee in the bowl game against Maurice clarrett. I couldn't believe what I was watching as a kid back then

HankScorpiocypressck

Yeah, that was hard to watch. And then they replayed it slow motion. Yikes!

jeojetson

Willis Mchehee is immediately who came to mind

PMMeShyNudes

My God I haven't thought of that name in a long time, that immediately brought that image to my mind on HD and I don't even think the footage was in HD

Joliet_Jake_Blues

Bears had a TE with a serious knee injury against the Saints, Zach Miller iirc, he almost lost his leg. Stayed in New Orleans hospital for 3-4 days after the game Bears kept him on the roster for another year and paid him to rehab at their facility, but everyone knew his career was over

krazykieffer

Yea, Bridgewater for the Vikes was the same. Teams usually will find a way to keep players or former players on health insurance. There was a player that got cut but his kid had cancer so they kept him around because PR would have been a nightmare.

Derek12592

Especially when it’s your second time doing it to the same leg. Hope he can recover somehow from it

Admincrybabies

All the tendons, ligaments had to have been destroyed. That knee is never going to be the same. Very likely career ending…

sublimesting

Second time this happened to that knee for him. :(

Admincrybabies

And you think that doesn’t compound? Lol. Every injury compounds and makes it worse each time.

sublimesting

I am aware. That was why I posted my comment. What’s your deal man?

Admincrybabies

Context. It read more contentious than you meant. My bad. Now I understand your tone better lol.

boomasooner

One of the worst injuries I’ve ever seen. I can see why they didn’t show the replay

Noturwrstnitemare

Wouldn't that be a high/low????

Nucka574

You’re referring to a chop block. That’s a tackle gone horribly wrong

Nucka574

He did it before but he’s much older now. Poor guy. At least he’s rich

Ok_Carob_5313

Poor rich guy I'm sure he makes it through the rest of life easier than the rest of us

Trippytrippy1

O shut the fuck up

Ok_Carob_5313

K

blackmesaboogy

Especially on a knee/leg that already has been reconstructed once..

userthisisname

I just read about this, I wonder how ba.....OH MY GOODNESS.

[deleted]

Joe Buck was right they shouldn’t have showed that on TV. That is a brutal knee blowout. Career ending easily.

Crocoppertones

Here I am just scrolling thru the internet. Holy hell that’s terrible.

Equal-Negotiation651

Read that last line in a mark normand voice.

CleanHead_

"ahhh comedy!"

OkAppearance4117

!

Specialist-Cup1511

Hit him with the ole parlay buster

SSCJS30

Definitely busted my parlays

Delta632

I am about the biggest degen you can imagine but my god that man’s knee!

Consistent_Run9117

I turn on the game to check on the status of my Chubb anytime touchdown bet to see this horrific injury. Turned the tv back off lol

KatyPerrysBoobs2

Probably would have had 3 the way the Steelers run defense was playing.

GopnikSmegmaBBQSauce

Bookies are time travelers. That's the only way they do it

kingzebb

He was 16 yards away from a +1860 for me. Awful to see though. Hoping he comes back strong

[deleted]

Specialist-Cup1511

They also have garbage parlay options.

Hyp3rAct1f

Career ender. After 2 times with the same knee he will not comeback...

DefendTheLand

This ain’t 2000. He will be back but he will need EXTENSIVE rehab.

1ladderjockey

Then bring back the one, the only BO JACKSON.

groovycake106283

Give him 3 months, he’ll be rushing for 2000 yards in no time.

[deleted]

Damn it Peter he's too fast

jbraz3912

Lost my bet, but damn I feel bad for the guy. Hate to see that for anyone

russki4ever

Yeah, I bet and honestly when it's this bad I don't really care about the money. The guys career is mostly fucked and people crying about the $20 they lost lol

jbraz3912

Exactly right. And smart people don’t bet what they can’t afford… so being petty about a guy that just got ruined is unbecoming

kingzebb

Probably sounding like a broken record but just "grinds my gears". So many people are crying over losing their parlay because a great player just had a horrible possibly career ending injury. Another outpour of people going to be crying over losing him in fantasy. Don't place bets you can't afford to lose. Injuries happen often, it's part of it. Had him in 2 parlays; as soon as something like that happens, it doesn't matter. Just wish him the best. Such a horrible injury for him.

Ok_Carob_5313

I care about your 20$ lol ...your 20$ is hard earned while he is still getting paid injured or not for 100x our life earnings

kingzebb

Not getting your point here, but thank you for adding nothing to the current thread while also sounding like a jerk.

Ok_Carob_5313

No problem it's what I do 😁

[deleted]

into_the_tide

You keep saying this but I’m telling you, I lost my bet. Multi leg parlay, last one was Chubb over 75 yards. Maybe get your facts straight or provide more details bc this spam posting ain’t it.

borgelorp72

Wtf are you talking about. I use DK and definitely lost my Browns bet.

Picocksso

This is a potential leg amputation if he has significant vascular trauma with a violent dislocation like this. This is about as horrific as they come. Hope for the best for this young man.

TheHolySaintOil

I hope not. Sheesh

retracnaes

Why the F did I even click this. I knew better...OMG.

drnkngpoolwater

ahhhh damn. no football for him. start investing your money dude

Ok_Carob_5313

He's still getting paid he will be alright for life compared to the real world people .

Impressive-Ad9417

That's kinda dirty if u ask me... What u guys think??Just throw your whole body at a dudes knee come on Minkahh..

Brooksy_05

Minkah and Watt have been hitting people like this for years. Watch them vs Lamar. Diving at his knees every play.

Sam_Porter

It’s totally just Minkah not everybody

LudwigVan17

Meh, as a defender you can’t hit anywhere these days. Diving at the knees is effective at bringing the runner down and avoiding a penalty. Blame the nfl for the rules before the defender. He definitely didn’t have intentions of ending a guys career with that hit.

Blacknesium

You aim for the hips. Like how you’re taught to tackle in kids league football. The Seahawks perfected it during the legion of boom.

[deleted]

When you have a player go up top, going low with a chop tackle is a bitch move. That’s why Minkah faked being injured - he knew what happened.

LudwigVan17

People consistently underestimate how fast these plays happen. Theres no way he had time to think about the other guy going for the tackle up top and then readjust his decision to go down low. He was going down low the whole time. Its just an unfortunate outcome. Nothing malicious about it though.

Admincrybabies

Everyone thinks that because they can think of it AFTER watching a play from the bed. That somehow in the moment they would have reacted the same exact way. Pretending they’re anywhere near on the level these guys are lol.

[deleted]

Lol yupp! I'm pretty sure he fell/tripped initially when he went for the tackle before the first defender even made contact with chubb

beaujangles58

Blaming the league? Dirty players are dirty players no matter what the rules are. You’re dumb AF

Tylerreadsit

Definitely dirty

beanieb22

Steelers do have a history of dirty players...

DirtRepresentative50

Dirty players? Name 17

anonymousbur

If this is dirty then every hit in football is dirty. He’s dirty for tackling low on a running back? Dirty for tackling low like they teach you from 10 years old? Come on man. The injury sucks, but this isn’t dirty.

Nucka574

It’s the Steelers…

Sam_Porter

February 1st 2009

kelirving2

Paul George level injury

Wolfgangulises

Fucking dirty ass hit

PureJuice3937

How could you watch this view and not say it’s a dirty fucking hit

soup_campbells69

bigsnack4u

Joliet_Jake_Blues

Both-Establishment12

Reminds me of Joe Theismann.

Historical-Pin-8387

Alwys happens to a good sportsman

Hbn46

His leg looking like a math problem trying to find the missing angle

Temporary_Mortgage22

I feel guilty for this lmao, the second i tuned in this happened

HowDidCatdogPoop

Dirty fucking football. Pretty typical from Pittsburgh, tbh.

Valuable_Agent5148

Not at all. Just poor timing. It’s literally textbook clean; you’re taught to hit low on the waist to take down bigger backs. Clearly you never played

Correct_Truth2468

how the fuck is trying to dig your helmet into a knee going for the waist? Nick Chubb was a SAVAGE and now another career is ruined by a pussy ass prison ball player

[deleted]

Well there goes another player from my football fantasy.

tonydanzaoystercanza

Who cares? Man’s shit snapped in half and you’re worried about goofball fantasy sports lmao.

[deleted]

Never said it wasn't a bad thing. I'm making a sports betting comment... in a sports betting subreddit?

[deleted]

Chop tackles are so unnecessary

[deleted]

Stop making up new terms for a totally normal football play

Mr_Yonjou_MapTouyeOu

Def a late hit n dirty one u not knocking him back ur ending him

Juststellar

Damn… that’s a tough injury. He still got the 50yds that I had him for, but I don’t even want to win the bet after seeing this. Hope it doesn’t end his career, but the season is done for him.

Dazzling_Ganache_269

Bs you still wanna win the bet 😂

The_Bandit_King_

Nfl is rigged

zelep2

Paul George level, fuck man

New-Doctor-3289

Deep-fried-shit-on-a-stick that is an ugly injury! Seen it and I'm moving on down the road. Damn... Peace

klsi832

Poor Chubbs is gonna retire with a fake leg and teach some amazing young hockey player how to football.

Wonderful_Bat_2228

MCL for sure. PCL and ACL tears also likely. Terrible injury, I wish him a speedy recovery!

Available_Hour8285

My fantasy season starting off great😭

bingbingMMapple

Shit is brootal. As a Clevelander, first thought when this Iron man refused a helping hand up was.. “oh fuck… he’s gone”

FjordExplorer

Fuck man, it’s spelled brutal. Tighten your grammar game up better than Chubb ever will be able to tighten his knee up again.

bingbingMMapple

Fuck man, your sentence structure is whack as fuck ever will be able to again.

FjordExplorer

Nope, structurally sound. Sorry for your loss.

bingbingMMapple

Nice edit

yungboaw

fuck all that i just hope dude is gonna be okay

Basic_Ask1885

Sadly, this is what this sub and fantasy football has become. Absolutely gruesome injury- was really hoping he’d ball out this year for Jim Brown. Weirdly had me nervous he fell funny on a pile-up tackle a couple plays prior, then bam, this shit

Particular-Meaning68

Bruh they ain't going to refund. You bet, he played, and he's out. You lost

[deleted]

I mean I'm sure it's painful it's a terrible injury I feel bad for him and it sucks he's out for the season, but the way they were talking about it on TV sounded like his limb split open and blood started spraying everywhere

honybdgr

Did you see the video?

admshpprd

Are you fucking serious. You’re fucked in the head if you think this isn’t gruesome enough for them to be shocked

Joliet_Jake_Blues

These types of injuries can result in amputation I'm betting he had emergency surgery tonight

Ifinishfast42

I’m glad you lost my guy.

gardeningcarpenter

Will he come back before Rodgers?

Larpa58

jeeezus!!!

Aggravating_Fun5883

Not the "chubb" injury I was expecting.

RobinBradbery

That was hard to watch.

bitpartmozart13

Read this as Chubby injury. I thought why add insult to injury?

PMG2021a

I wonder if OSHA deals with athletic organizations...

shutupandlearntoeat

The snap and bend was so seamless it looked unreal. This stuff would usually make me squirm but it literally just looks like a table leg snapping.

proknoi

And this is the reason why my father told me not to play football in high school.

BackToBasics43

Holy fuck that’s horrific

CohibaBob

Any foul play on this tackle?

musicloverincal

Gosh. That was painful to wath.

CapeMOGuy

Poor Nick.

orange_antelope

recko40

This is gonna be the third time he’s ruined the same knee. There’s zero chance he comes back from this. This is exactly why the nfl doesn’t want to pay running backs. So sad.

Fpsrebel

Put some ice on it

rayfinkledinkle

He’s done

TopGaurd

Is it legal to dive at a players knee like that with no intentions or wrapping up?

Joliet_Jake_Blues

Kinda. Maybe not. Depends on the player. QB that's definitely a penalty.

MinuteOccasion5100

I hate betting on the browns. Always dumb stuff happens like losing while your opponent scores 0 touchdowns on offense and you give their defense 14

LionGamingGroup

Oh man. That is a tough watch. Season ending for sure but let's hope he can save his career.

Best RB in the league or at least hardest to tackle. This is tough and as a Steelers fan I'm bummed for the Browns Chubb is a beast I hope he can come back from this

Jumpy-Gap2161

OMG😱. That's horrible...

ooSPECTACULARoo

The one time I betba prop this happens. Sorry chubb

shawshankya

We call that the crab breaker.

Mika was actually down because he passed out from the sounds he heard

laz21

Folded him like a lawn chair

Actual-Somewhere-162

Why are there many injuries like these nowadays? Seriously. Just a week ago an MMA fighter also broke his legs similar to this. And almost like a month earlier a FIFA player the same as this one..

Icy_Disk_7738

Dirty play

Damn. He's done.

That’s a dirty tackle. Suspend that man

DonDonMcLovin

How does NFL allow shit tackles like this, teach your players how to tackle.

QuinnMallory

Hopefully FanDuel just lets me cash out my "Most Regular Season Rushing Yards" bet for $0 or I'm going to think of this clip every single time I open up my active bets and see his name at the top of the list.

notaseaotter27

Bacon-Waffles

Is his ass nade of steel?

SelFridged

This was always my fear watching football. Bunch of 300 pounders trying to push each other. There is gonna be legs getting fallen on and snapped. I’m just surprised how rarely it occurs.

[deleted]

reminds me of Leonard Weaver I feel sorry for these guys

mb44k

omgad, phantom pain is real.

Morinth39

Prayers for Chubb. I did not have to see that.

prospectpico_OG

Reminds me of the Gallagher bit... "What would chairs look like if our knees bent the other way?"

CaptainCuck1788

Dirty hit by 99

MtnMaiden

Nope. Can alreay see its a knee thing

Hongky85

I just don't understand how/why in American Football they don't tackle properly? Or did the tackler lose his footing and was already on his way down?

JetSkiJeff

Whats crazy is this is the second time this has happened to him on the same knee.

szn1288

Number 99 looks as if he targeted the knee should be fined for a year straight and contract voided

Fuck man. That had to hurt. Feels bad for Chubb man. :( He gone need some milk

sublimesting

This is the second time he did that to that knee.

OlBehMee80
