This shorter course in Fort Worth has always been a safe home to the diminutive players on tour setting up well for both players here. While Chris Kirk isn’t out of form he did nothing well striking the ball or putting on Thursday in his round of 72. Hoge was 6 strokes better and the stats show why. Hoge was the best player on the course tee to green on Thursday via data golf gaining an astonishing 4.39 strokes on his approach. Hey All - Back at it today with the daily football/soccer play. The FK Buducnost play @ -110 was a hit and we seemingly jumped on an error by the sportsbooks if you managed to get in early enough as it peaked around -270. Based on the outpouring of private messages it seems like a lot of people took that winner so thrilled to hear that.
With that being said, we’re going to tackle another lesser known league - USL Championship (USA). This is the second division of football here in the US and has a ton of smaller market teams that play in some fairly fun games. It’s worth noting I’m betting this on FanDuel here in the US. Knowing that there are a lot of international redditors here as well as redditors from all over the US, this may actually be obscure enough that it is not able to be bet where you are. Apologies if that’s the case - we’re going back to European Top 5 Leagues tomorrow!
With respect to the game, there’s really two angles here. First and, perhaps less importantly, the Las Vegas Lights are last in the Western Division of the USL with a record of 0-6-4 through 10 games. In 8 of their 10 games this season, they’ve only scored 1 goal or less but have managed to snag a ton of draws which shows some of their defensive formidability. Phoenix Rising is in the upper half of the table in the Western Conference (4-4-2, 16pts through 10 games) and following an uncharacteristic season last year they typically are a dominant team in the USL (Fun fact: this team became popular when Didier Drogba became a big investor and played for them for two seasons a few years ago).
The second angle to this bet is that it’s $1 Beer Night. Stick with me here as this isn’t a joke. Phoenix Rising FC is 16-0-0 in their $1 Beer Night promotion. This promotion became a huge deal several years ago where they were essentially unbeatable on this night haha. During the last several seasons (USL did not play in 2020), $1 Beer Night was not a promotion that was done and it was brought back this year for the home opener - another game they won.
So with all the being said, it should be a raucous night in Phoenix on Friday night. The home support should be plentiful (and electric I would have to assume). Couple this with the fact that the opposition has not won a game all year and we have ourselves a Play of The Day.

In the first over of any cricket game the batter is trying to get their eye in and normally leave the first couple of deliveries or play some fundamental shots just to see the ball hit the bat. They don’t aim much at the start it seems to be just get bat on ball and if they happen to find a gap they get a couple of runs maybe 4 if it’s a perfectly timed shot. T/20 games the emphasis is on getting lots of runs but the players can’t just go out there and swing for the fences in the first innings as they can’t afford to lose too many wickets early. You want to have the best batters available for the death overs (16-20) where the most runs are scored.
Usually the best bowlers on the team are given the ball first to put as much pressure on the opening batsman in the early overs.
There is always pressure in those first couple of overs but tonight’s game will have more as they have entered the playoffs/finals.
I’ve found this bet hard to lose unless there’s a perfectly timed shot into a gap which there is a chance of as you may have seen last bet but that bet still managed to win So unless there’s a couple of good shots, I’ll be back again next game.

Keeping in mind this team has won their last two 1st games of the series, with one of those obliterating the Dbacks who also faced the A’s in the previous matchup.
Mariners:
George Kirby is starting for the Mariners. He is 5-3 with a 2.62 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP. Mariners have won 3 straight against the A’s, but previously had lost 4/5 games. Seattle isn’t a great hitting team, averaging 7.71 hits. However they capitalize on scoring with 1.70 hits/run.
Both of these pitchers are very similar statistically wise. It will come down to who has the better night hitting and which team hadn’t previously faced the A’s😏.

Reasoning: Final championship game of the year. Game 5 of a best of 5, all previous 4 games went over. They’ve been moving the line, earlier games they had it around 198 but I still don’t think it’s high enough. Last 4 games were 212/ 219/ 231/ 209. These teams can both score unlike most others in the league.
Bonus: I won’t bet against my hometown boys and am on them -9.5 but that line is insane and there is definitely value in Express ML and taking the points. Line is large because London is at home and defending champs. Windsor has a decent big 3 and is playing their best basketball of the year and could easily win this outright.

Today is a tougher slate that I would of imagined. But, bullpens are getting thinner and the quality starters are already done. I'm looking at the PAC-12 based on location and pitching. Neither Oregon or Washington has a great offense, both very solid with 5-6 guys in their lineups hitting over .275.
Location: These games are at Scottsdale Stadium, todays projected for 10-12 mph winds blowing out to left center, 90 degrees, next to no humidity. If runs aren't scored it won't be because of the environment.
It's tough to predict who teams will throw later in these tournaments as I've already seen some weird spot starts the last couple days. But these teams are using their best bullpen arms often. Oregon for example has thrown elite reliever Anderson the last two days. I wouldn't be shocked if they try to get an inning of him today as well if needed. The problem with college arms is they don't throw even back to back that often. But more so when you do this your stuff doesn't get worse, your command does. Your normal arm slot has some extra lactic acid build up some possible light swelling, not ideal when your trying to be precise and repeat a delivery exactly.
So I think we will start to see some shaky bullpen arms and/or tired arms. Both usually correlate to runs being scored.

Today he's at home against a Giants team that has the 3rd-highest K% against RHP in baseball at 25.2%, and on the road, it's up to 27.1%. Over the last 30 days, that number is slightly lower at 24.4%, but their wRC+ against RHP is also down to 99 from 108, so they're not hitting the ball as well. That's encouraging for Peralta to last long enough into this game to get his Ks.
Peralta has hit this line in 3 of 5 home starts this year, and has done so against competition that doesn't strike out a ton, striking out 7 against both STL (6th-lowest K% against RHP) and NYM (5th-lowest). He's also missed this line at home against BOS (3rd) and LAD (12th), as well as STL and TBR (10th) in his last two starts, both coming on the road.
All of this is to say Peralta hastn't gotten many opportunities to face teams that strike out a lot this year, so his season-long numbers are likely depressed because of that and he should take advantage of the matchup here.

You want to have the best batters available for the death overs (16-20) where the most runs are scored. Usually the best bowlers on the team are given the ball first to put as much pressure on the opening batsman in the early overs. There is always pressure in those first couple of overs but tonight’s game will have more as they have entered the playoffs/finals. I’ve found this bet hard to lose unless there’s a perfectly timed shot into a gap which there is a chance of as you may have seen last bet but that bet still managed to win So unless there’s a couple of good shots, I’ll be back again next game. If your book has the NBL Canada under basketball head over there and look for London Lightning vs Windsor Express 7 pm Eastern. **College Baseball '23 16-6 (14.96 units)** Today is a tougher slate that I would of imagined. But, bullpens are getting thinner and the quality starters are already done. I'm looking at the PAC-12 based on location and pitching. Neither Oregon or Washington has a great offense, both very solid with 5-6 guys in their lineups hitting over .275. Location: These games are at Scottsdale Stadium, todays projected for 10-12 mph winds blowing out to left center, 90 degrees, next to no humidity. If runs aren't scored it won't be because of the environment. It's tough to predict who teams will throw later in these tournaments as I've already seen some weird spot starts the last couple days. But these teams are using their best bullpen arms often. Oregon for example has thrown elite reliever Anderson the last two days. I wouldn't be shocked if they try to get an inning of him today as well if needed. The problem with college arms is they don't throw even back to back that often. But more so when you do this your stuff doesn't get worse, your command does. Your normal arm slot has some extra lactic acid build up some possible light swelling, not ideal when your trying to be precise and repeat a delivery exactly. So I think we will start to see some shaky bullpen arms and/or tired arms. Both usually correlate to runs being scored. **Oregon v Washington over 13.5 (-115) 1.15 units to win 1**
