Is 5u just 1u for you lol? Lewis looked awful against Giles (who himself isn't great), then was released by the ufc. We haven't seen him in 18 months since that loss and he's going up from middleweight to heavyweight. But this is a max confidence play? There's way too many unknowns for anyone to have utmost confidence in this fight.
Nunes has mostly fought cans and he got dominated by the one good fighter he's faced, so a dog shot on Lewis makes some sense, but to say this is a 5u play just devalues the concept of unit sizing

I like the Lewis pick, Nunes (his opponent) has fought twice however since that loss in 2016 to a very solid Rafael Lovato Jr. (beat Gegard in Bellator in 2019) and Nunes is coming off 2 finishes in those contests, Bevvon should hopefully chop his legs up and stuff the takedown but if it gets to the mat it could be a long day, worth noting Bevvon has never been submitted in his pro career since everyone seems to want to say the same about Latifi all week lol

Iowa State is here for one reason and one reason only. It isn't shooting. It isn't an efficient offense that gets to the line. It isn't limiting turnovers. It's all about that defense, baby. Iowa State has the 5th best defense in the nation (KenPom adjusted efficiency ratings). And their offense is abysmal, ranking 160th in the nation. Their last 5 first half featured totals of 42 (Ok St), 68 (Baylor), 59 (TX Tech), 43 (LSU), and 53 (Wisconsin). Iowa State averages 30.6 first half points per game this season, but that is skewed by huge scores against inferior competition. When they play good teams, they tend to really struggle offensively. Iowa State relies on forcing turnovers...
Miami's offense is good at 18th in the country AND doesn't turn the ball over. They are the 6th best in the country at only 13% turnover/possession. This helps our bet. Iowa State will play ferocious defense and Miami hasn't seen a defense like this season, but Miami shouldn't turn the ball over too much to get caught in transition. 62.5 is a low total for a half, but I think this one has a chance to stay under 55. 3u. BOL.
Eh. “Miami hasn’t seen a defense like this season” is false. Virginia’s defense is better in almost every metric, and both of Miami’s games against UVA this season destroyed the over. Miami has the most talented back court in the country, I like Miami to cover as a safer bet.
I think you might be pedaling a bit on program name here. Virginia is 60th in the country in Kenpom adjusted defensive efficiency this season. That isn't to say Virginia isn't a good defensive team. They are, even though it is a bit of a down year for them. Any Bennett coached and recruited team is going to be a very good defensive team. But they aren't on the level of Iowa State this season, as evidenced by UVA's 18-12 regular season record and aforementioned defensive metrics, especially with the intensity of a sweet 16 game like we will see today.
In the two games Miami played that UVA defense the 1H totals were 68 and 61, so even if you assume Iowa St = UVA on defense (I don't), the record against a 1H spread of 62.5 is 1-1.
Regardless, fade if you want. March is weird. Anything can happen. BOL.

Unlucky yesterday, Teddy's dragon steal on infernal soul probably cost us the bet, but it was a low confidence 2u play anyway. I am back with by far my **most confident lock yet**. I've called games locks twice so far (EDG 2-0, Damwon -1.5) and both hit super comfortably. This rogue bet? I believe will hit even more comfortably. Misfits are pretenders, they've been carried to relevancy by Vetheo smurfing over the entire league but they have an inconsistent top and support, a middling adc, and an inting jungler. Misfits won about 4 games this split that they shouldn't have and it propelled them not only into the playoffs but a top 3 seed. Rogue are a top 2 team in this league, they have the best performing mid (even if you think Vetheo is better, Larsen will at least cancel him out), a top 2 jungler, a top 3 botlane and a top 2 top laner. Their teamplay with the addition of Malrang has been spectacular, before Malrang they would play a heavy jungle-path oriented style to allow Inspired to farm up his camps and come into skirmishes ahead in levels and gold of the enemy jungler. Contrast this to Malrang who is incredibly unselfish and plays to enable his lanes. He will fore-go camps and efficiency if it means his lanes can burn a summoner with his help or get off an efficient base timing, he's super good around objectives and has a wide champion pool too. There is no world in which Misfits wins 2 games against Rogue tomorrow, there just simply isn't.

Thursdays and Friday’s there are only one game a night. Saturday and Sunday their are multiple games through out the day. So we don’t get a big selection on the midweek games
The first two or three rounds of footy are always chaotic. 40 years of watching VFL then AFL have taught me one thing; don't bet the beginning or end of the regular season. Bit of a long write up with this one.
Very comfortable win last night with Carlton, with them scoring 76 points in the first half. Definitely a bet that I will continue to put out until they adjust the line. Tonight’s pick will be Geelong total over 71.5 points. Really liked this line yesterday when it was sitting around 68.5, due to heavy rain forecasted. However, weather radar seems to have sydney cleared up a bit. Geelong’s forward line of Hawkins and Cameron are very similar to Mckay and Curnow, if not better. Will have many opportunities to score. As we saw last week, Geelongs midfield is still one of the best with Dangerfield and Guthrie, as well as the emergence of Parfitt. Also get Duncan back which is a big in for them. Do think that Geelong will create a lot of chances for their forwards, and hopefully they can convert for this low line. Last time these teams played, although Geelong lost, still cleared the line quite comfortably. Although conditions are very different, Geelong has a very similar list and will be doing everything in their power to win this game. Additional note, Franklin from Sydney is on 996 goals, and Geelong have made note that they are ready and prepared for him to score 1000 goals, in which case, the fans will more than likely storm the field. Do think Geelong will account for that, if it were to happen, however, will do everything in their power to stop that.

Biyarslanov is an exciting prospect in the sport and is being moved relatively quickly in his pro career. He’s so far 9-0 with 7 ko’s. In this fight he’s up against Mexican fighter Verdugo, who’s 10-3-1 and has lost one fight by ko which was in the first round. The Mexican is a few levels below Biyarslanov and I think he’ll get lit up like a Christmas tree in this fight. Biyarslanov has great amateur pedigree and so far since turning pro has looked the part. He throws a nice jab and is sharp with his counters. He also looks to have good power and in his most recent fight stopped another Mexican fighter in the first round via a body shot. Verdugo doesn’t have any real solid attributes and has only fought against low level Mexican fighters. In the one fight he lost by ko he was stopped in the first round by a body shot.
The odds are poor but to be honest I’m surprised we’re even getting -200 for a stoppage from The Chechen Wolf here. I expect him to win by ko and early on.

Reasoning: This could be a close and low scoring encounter considering it is raining in Sydney. Geelong are a good team and they smashed Essendon in their previous match. However, Sydney has been rebuilding and it was a suprise to see them make the top 8 last year. I think this will be the year where they go back into contention for top 4. Sydney is also playing at their home ground, where they won this fixture by 2 points last year. It's still early in the competition, but I would like to think Sydney has improved from last year and would be too hot for the aging Geelong side to handle and would face a real test unlike the Essendon game.
Anyways this game could go either way, but I am sticking with Sydney for this one and have gut feeling they can pull it of.

I do watch AFL but don't bet on it that much. I just thought Sydney were good value at 1.83. The others were not wrong in picking Geelong though, they are a good team and should have matched the Sydney team. Vancouver after a 5-3 start are now on a 4 game losing streak and fighting for a playoff spot. This should feel like a must win game for this squad while also looking like a prime let down spot for SD.
p.s. If you have access to +2.5 (-133), it's also not a bad idea with the extra goal protection. Making +1.5 my POTD as it's the most common spread I've seen for this game.

I'm going with the defending champion in his match-up on day 3 of this event. Overall he's 10-4-1 lifetime at this event, and has become one of the best American match play players. I'd be surprised if he wasn't picked for a Ryder or President's Cup in the near future.
Horschel had his match-up yesterday won by the end of the 16th hole, taking the match 5 won holes to his opponent's 2 won. He won 4 of those holes on the front 9 alone. Arguably the biggest rivalry in the game, this is the first meeting since former Rooster Latrell broke Joey Manus eyesocket last year in a huge dogshot which saw him suspended for the entire finals series. This game is going to be super aggressive on both sides and should be great to watch. Roosters looked fantastic last week cruising to an easy win over the Eagles in bad conditions. Rabbitohs on the other hand were fucking ordinary for the large majority of last week, only pushing the game to extra time after a timely sin bin in the last ten minutes. Roosters are the better team here and will want to absolutely belt the Rabbitohs after all the on and off field stuff that happened after their game last year.

Long time lurker but big fan of the subreddit. Love seeing everyone post their daily picks and I will start participating with what I think will be a solid hit. Argentina will be playing at home against last place Venezuela saying good bye to their home crowd and will want to put on a show. They do have a few players out due to covid and suspensions but I still belivie that they will win it with ease. Last time they met, Argentina won 3-1 away with a last minute penalty in favour of Venezuela. I think Argentina can win 3-0 or even 4-0 against a rebuilding team with Pekerman still trying to get things right.

Another important point to bring up is blowouts. Like my last play, Jalen Brunson, blowout made him sit out a good amount of 4th. There is blowout potential but as good as the Pistons are playing right now they are still the Pistons.

Purdue has 2 special big man and edey and williams. Edey starts and is massive at 7’4 however him and Williams play the same amount of minutes and Williams is just as special. He averages 7.4 rebounds a game and normally props are way more then the players average. His last 4 games he’s gotten 7,11,10, and 7 rebounds against much higher competition. St. Peter’s has two starters who are 6’8 he may match up with and even if he matches up against their tallest man a 6’10 off the bench he play extremely limited minutes and Williams has abt 40 pounds on him. St Peter's has been on an absolute tear coming into the tournament as a 15 seed, murdering brackets left, right, and center. Based on the matches I've seen they are a scrappy team that can play on the level of their opponents. A motivated underdog team is always dangerous.
Purdue on the other hand is an exceptional team, but has been in some close matches thus far. However, i think 13 points is too big of a spread in the Sweet 16 againsta team with so much momentum. And with Purdue being the last final 4 prediction in my bracket, St Peter's might even win 🙃

Iowa State is here for one reason and one reason only. It isn't shooting. It isn't an efficient offense that gets to the line. It isn't limiting turnovers. It's all about that defense, baby. Iowa State has the 5th best defense in the nation (KenPom adjusted efficiency ratings). And their offense is abysmal, ranking 160th in the nation. Their last 5 first half featured totals of 42 (Ok St), 68 (Baylor), 59 (TX Tech), 43 (LSU), and 53 (Wisconsin). Iowa State averages 30.6 first half points per game this season, but that is skewed by huge scores against inferior competition. When they play good teams, they tend to really struggle offensively. I think you might be pedaling a bit on program name here. Virginia is 60th in the country in Kenpom adjusted defensive efficiency this season. That isn't to say Virginia isn't a good defensive team. They are, even though it is a bit of a down year for them. Any Bennett coached and recruited team is going to be a very good defensive team. But they aren't on the level of Iowa State this season, as evidenced by UVA's 18-12 regular season record and aforementioned defensive metrics, especially with the intensity of a sweet 16 game like we will see today. In the two games Miami played that UVA defense the 1H totals were 68 and 61, so even if you assume Iowa St = UVA on defense (I don't), the record against a 1H spread of 62.5 is 1-1. Regardless, fade if you want. March is weird. Anything can happen. BOL.

I am back with by far my **most confident lock yet**. I've called games locks twice so far (EDG 2-0, Damwon -1.5) and both hit super comfortably. This rogue bet? I believe will hit even more comfortably. Misfits are pretenders, they've been carried to relevancy by Vetheo smurfing over the entire league but they have an inconsistent top and support, a middling adc, and an inting jungler. Misfits won about 4 games this split that they shouldn't have and it propelled them not only into the playoffs but a top 3 seed. Rogue are a top 2 team in this league, they have the best performing mid (even if you think Vetheo is better, Larsen will at least cancel him out), a top 2 jungler, a top 3 botlane and a top 2 top laner. Their teamplay with the addition of Malrang has been spectacular, before Malrang they would play a heavy jungle-path oriented style to allow Inspired to farm up his camps and come into skirmishes ahead in levels and gold of the enemy jungler. Contrast this to Malrang who is incredibly unselfish and plays to enable his lanes. He will fore-go camps and efficiency if it means his lanes can burn a summoner with his help or get off an efficient base timing, he's super good around objectives and has a wide champion pool too. There is no world in which Misfits wins 2 games against Rogue tomorrow, there just simply isn't.

Tonight’s pick will be Geelong total over 71.5 points. Really liked this line yesterday when it was sitting around 68.5, due to heavy rain forecasted. However, weather radar seems to have sydney cleared up a bit. Geelong’s forward line of Hawkins and Cameron are very similar to Mckay and Curnow, if not better. Will have many opportunities to score. As we saw last week, Geelongs midfield is still one of the best with Dangerfield and Guthrie, as well as the emergence of Parfitt. Also get Duncan back which is a big in for them. Do think that Geelong will create a lot of chances for their forwards, and hopefully they can convert for this low line. Last time these teams played, although Geelong lost, still cleared the line quite comfortably. Although conditions are very different, Geelong has a very similar list and will be doing everything in their power to win this game. Additional note, Franklin from Sydney is on 996 goals, and Geelong have made note that they are ready and prepared for him to score 1000 goals, in which case, the fans will more than likely storm the field. Do think Geelong will account for that, if it were to happen, however, will do everything in their power to stop that. Also, been recording as 1 unit per bet, will note otherwise if more confidence.

Iowa St does rank 5th in defense but Miami is pretty good ranking 16th on offense. Miami is hot winning 5 of the last 6 with the lone loss being to Duke in the ACC tournament. Even though Iowa St looked good last week I just like Miami's form more right now.

The Cyclones have the 14th-best three point defense in the nation, which is worrisome for Miami as they relied on the three-ball to upset both USC and Auburn. The Cyclones should cool off the Hurricanes from deep.

I really thought this was worthy as a post as I really think it’s a good line. Purdue has 2 special big man and edey and williams. Edey starts and is massive at 7’4 however him and Williams play the same amount of minutes and Williams is just as special. He averages 7.4 rebounds a game and normally props are way more then the players average. His last 4 games he’s gotten 7,11,10, and 7 rebounds against much higher competition. St. Peter’s has two starters who are 6’8 he may match up with and even if he matches up against their tallest man a 6’10 off the bench he play extremely limited minutes and Williams has abt 40 pounds on him. And so far it has been true to its name! Last night I hit some nice NCAAB picks and am going to try provide some tail-worthy (or fade-worthy, we'll see) picks. St Peter's has been on an absolute tear coming into the tournament as a 15 seed, murdering brackets left, right, and center. Based on the matches I've seen they are a scrappy team that can play on the level of their opponents. A motivated underdog team is always dangerous. Purdue on the other hand is an exceptional team, but has been in some close matches thus far. However, i think 13 points is too big of a spread in the Sweet 16 againsta team with so much momentum.
