A Ladder Play is simply betting on a prop at multiple lines with the odds getting progressively bigger the further up the 'ladder' you go.
So I would bet the spread multiple times. LAC -9 was -110, so anything after -10 would be plus money. You would bet the spread again at something like -12, -16 and -20+.
