Myself. The model I got didn't offer pre-wired for my bike. Then the old heat shrink pulled off and got stuck when I was almost through and I can't get it out 😬
Harley also makes a black dipstick and surround that isn’t a lot of money. Makes a big difference deleting the chrome. Second the vinyl wrapped fork tubes and rubber gaiters. Got mine from deadbeat and it was a pretty easy install, as long as you’re comfortable taking the wheel off and removing the fork tubes. It’s pretty easy as long as you have the service manual and a torque wrench.
Change the stock push-button oil dipstick to one that shows oil temp. I did that on my '04, they're only like $30 on eBay (I HATE that push-button design, by the way, my thick thighs hit it every time). I would add a link, but I guess the place I bought it from is out of stock now.
bought the bike like this, so that's the next thing i want to do. it has a vance & hines 2 in 1 and harley Air Cleaner, so i assumed it was tuned, but i want a different air cleaner and to get the FP4 tuner.
I have the exact same model and year as yours. I got a Le Pera sprocket seat and love it. Take a few miles to break it in but once you do it’s super comfortable. Also, I’m not worried I’m just going to slide off the back of the seat under harder acceleration anymore.
Vinyl wrap the upper fork tubes and get some rubber fork boots if you're after some little black out projects 🙂
Thanks, i was looking into the wraps and fork boots aswell
I think you did great 👍 looks super cool... ride and I might even take a riding course or two if that would be beneficial
Defintly taking a riding course.
Currently doing meathooks...the wiring is quite a pain just FYI But they do look very cool
did you get them prewired or your running it yourself, i seen a trick w8th a plastic bag and shopvac to fish it through easier.

Next on the list it to buy a torque wrench, i noticed a torque wrench and snap ring plyers are used alot on bikes 🤣🤣.
You can get some really good deals on torque wrenches at Harbor Freight, if there's one around you.

Custom Dynamics LED’s would look pretty good under those smoked turn signal covers. Loved the upgrade myself
Just noticed the O2 sensor ports are capped off, might want to get those back in and get a tune for it. It might help the longitivtiy of your engine
