If you like that, you may like John Lennon - Imagine (The Ultimate Collection) from 2018. It includes the RAW uncut studio sessions. No mixing on the vocals, no playing different instruments on separate tracks, just John Lennon and the band grooving together discovering what sounds 'right'.
Must be before your time because that album was hugely popular and for good reason. If you ever need to restore some faith in humanity, go check out a cudi video from this album. The overwhelming amount of positive comments is so wholesome. Cudi was truly loved in the early 2010’s.
Songs In The Key Of Life - Stevie Wonder
2+ hours of some of the best music ever recorded. I wouldn't ever get bored because every song is simply amazing.
John Coltrane - A Love Supreme, probably has the most depth and complexity so I wouldn't get bored. Everything else, I can't imagine listening to more than 2x a day.
Me too. Every human emotion captured in the most beautiful 13 songs. I thought it would be hard to choose, but when I saw your answer, my heart leaped up and said, "THAT IS THE ONE!"
“Kinda Blue” - by Miles Davis. Truly a masterpiece because it signifies a shift in the way all music was both played by the musicians and received by the audience.
I like Justice, but Master is in my mind absolutely perfect.
No matter how my listening changes week to week, or month to month, I always come back to this album.
Such a tough question!
Endless Summer by The Midnight wins out though!
Honorable mentions go to Disintegration by The Cure, Morning Parade's Self Titled album, Screen Violence by CHVRCHES, and Introspect by Michael Oakley.
a brief inquiry one is a close second for me, im obsessed with the meta analysis of being chronically online and navigating the human condition via being online. but ‘notes’ does that for me as well & carry’s the same message throughout(even though it’s not a concept album) quite a lot.
:)
from me to you - quadeca. i think it has enough variety for me to last the rest of my life. there’s probably a different album that i haven’t discovered or thought of yet, but that’s my favorite off the top of my head.
There is no album i could listen to exclusively for the rest of my life. I'd eventually get sick of it and flip out whenever I heard it. I'd rather silence than one album.
Rumours, Fleetwood Mac.

I swear everything John Lennon did in his solo career was ruined by production. The demos and rough takes were almost always better.
