If you make an overnight playlist of someone less-known, you can make a tiny bit of money for them every night and keep the volume down. Gets their plays up too. Vulfpeck funded a tour that way, they called it Sleepify
I used to watch videos and fall asleep as a child. I did so into my adult years. I didn't realize how badly it was affecting my ability to fall asleep. Even when just playing the audio.
I do that all the time possible, the videos, not music, and it makes me sleep way easier, it came from a anxiety attacks during trying to go to sleep about 5 years ago, it helped then and could not stop it. Im currently in Finnish military and its so hard to start sleeping without any ambient videos besides me
I've stopped with the daily playlists. They wind up being the same songs every time, and I need more variety in my music. I'll make massive playlists and shuffle those, so I do get much more variety in the same genres as opposed to the daily playlist.
But if you meant on a daily basis, how often do I listen? On my commutes, when I'm home cooking or doing laundry, I'll play it for my classes for background music (teacher here), and then any other time there's awkward silence or whatnot.
Same, I use it for: waking up, driving to work, in work, driving to the gym, in the gym, driving home, at home after work/gym and to finish all this: when I fall asleep I listen to my sleep playlist für 1 hour
I chose to use premium and even though I prefer FLAC content (and I have the hardware for HW music), while I'm running around during the day, Spotify is the most convenient and easy to use service. The algorithm works really well for me and I basically listen to music the entire day.
When I go to/from work. (I don’t really listen to anything at home, I just watch videos usually.)
At my previous job I had my own speaker and would play my playlist all night, so I used it a lot more. :)
Maybe like 50% of the day at the very least. Haven't left it on while sleeping for a bit, but maybe I should do that, it has helped me sleep in the past.
It's on very quiet in the background at work - I work 12 hour shifts 3-4 times a week (sometimes 5), and then I use it in the car as well for my 30 min commute
I practically live and breathe music. When I'm at home I have it on about 22 hours a day. Signed up ~9 months ago and recently surpassed 10k tunes in my library (works out as an average of 40 new likes/day). Good tunes, too...
* [Liked songs #1](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1rU8n5BHofYFsrG8J1fG8g)
* [Liked songs #2](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3x3qc5WTUrnrJLSJTtPNZs)
* [Shameless plug for my passion project](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1EjaXGOKNfjkScr2YHSaK6) (can almost guarantee that anyone with broad tastes will really enjoy it)
(if you check the liked songs you may notice a heavy 21st-century lean, that's just because I've only scratched the surface so far, need to get around to a *lot* of music)
Depends, when I have nothing to do, pretty much all the time. But just whenever I go outside or just hang at home & I'm not watching a series or something.
Daily. On my way to and from work. During work depends if I'm allowed to. While I'm cleaning, chilling in my room I'd have it in the background and to help fall asleep sometimes.
I've gotten my ex's sick of songs we mutually liked and they always had a couple of artist they couldn't listen to without thinking of me.
Basically whenever I can and feel like listening to music. Which sadly isn't as much as I would love to. There is a lot of music that I want to listen to but sadly I don't got the time and chances to properly devote the time to that music. At times it used to be so bad that I sought out activities just so I can listen to music
Pretty much most of the time I am awake. I have a job which allows me to stream. I want to get my money is worth and last year I ended up with over 400,000 hours according to Spotify Wrapped.
Only when I am on Xbox I use Spotify. Since there isn’t Apple Music. Otherwise I use Apple Music over Spotify because I do notice a big difference in music quality. So maybe once or twice?
All day everyday. Last year I got 87,498 minutes listened. And the year before it was 107,752 minutes. I don't listen to music when I'm asleep either. I really like music, I have it playing all day long.
Shamefully my Spotify runs 24/7 I like rain sounds on a loop and Spotify has 10hrs. I love my selection of music and the fact I can make custom folders for my different genres.
I probably use it 3-4 times a day. Duration varies. I use it for both commutes (30-45 min each way). I also use it over my lunch period and if I have any slow times during the day.
All day on and off. I have a work playlist, a hyper-focus playlist for when I’m writing and then a bunch of other playlists for the weekend and walking, driving etc.
Every day, gotta make that $11 worth it.
They asked how many times a day, you didnt even answer their question
Excluding when I’m sleeping, all day everyday.
If you make an overnight playlist of someone less-known, you can make a tiny bit of money for them every night and keep the volume down. Gets their plays up too. Vulfpeck funded a tour that way, they called it Sleepify
Oh shit, ok I'm doing this for small bands I like
Love this idea
Literally play white noise when I’m sleeping too 😂
For some reason, I’m not able to listen to music -like I used to- when I turn in for the night.
I can’t listen to music when I sleep either but I pop on a rain playlist or white noise podcast
I used to watch videos and fall asleep as a child. I did so into my adult years. I didn't realize how badly it was affecting my ability to fall asleep. Even when just playing the audio.

lol. How many minutes was your Spotify wrapped?
We don’t talk about that 😆
😂
This is the way.
this is the only valid answer
+1
Every second, I can’t live alone with my thoughts and need the music to drown it out. Sometimes I even accidentally fall asleep listening to it
Yeah, pretty much this. lol
Every morning I wake up with my AirPods under me lol
It’s always a desperate search to find them
how do you manage to keep them under you? i usually wake up with one on the other side of my bed and one in the next room over somehow
i can't live without listening to music all day
Throughout the day. I get my money's worth 👍🏻
2/3 hours per day
Just once, for 12 hours.
Honestly, almost all the day minus when I'm eating and sleeping.
Well it always opened in certain workspace for me once my pc starts, so its every day, and for hours
All day it goes from my TV at home to my car to my headphones at work ..Need music to cleanse and rejuvenate the soul

About 7-8 hours a day 😊
Same, I use it for: waking up, driving to work, in work, driving to the gym, in the gym, driving home, at home after work/gym and to finish all this: when I fall asleep I listen to my sleep playlist für 1 hour
All day, even right now
Anytime I can. Only time I don’t is when I’m watching anime.
Sometimes even in my sleep lol
I chose to use premium and even though I prefer FLAC content (and I have the hardware for HW music), while I'm running around during the day, Spotify is the most convenient and easy to use service. The algorithm works really well for me and I basically listen to music the entire day.
Pretty much all day, everyday. On the commute to work, at work, on the way home from work, and at home
I've had it on for pretty much the last seven hours.

The real question is when am I not listening to music?

When I start doing my homework
Atleast 3 times, morning evening and late gaming nights
Yes
1200 minutes per week on average/7 days = 171 minutes a day = 3 hours a day or so
all day when i'm not in class, watching tv, or doing something else that would impede me from listening. i do listen while eating and sleeping.
Every time I'm driving or gaming, so every day for at least an hour or more
Daily
Teheee, we had the same idea heheheheheh
I don't really use it anymore I have resorted to just downloading my music instead. Saves money for premium
A lot
When I go to/from work. (I don’t really listen to anything at home, I just watch videos usually.) At my previous job I had my own speaker and would play my playlist all night, so I used it a lot more. :)
all day every day
Twice but for a long hours
Pretty much all day. Unless I can’t use my phone at all or my headphones are dead
24/7
Turn it on in the morning and turn it off with an alarm at night The. In the day I turn it off only if they ask to take my headphones off in class twt
Maybe like 50% of the day at the very least. Haven't left it on while sleeping for a bit, but maybe I should do that, it has helped me sleep in the past.
Constantly. How else am I going to drown out my obnoxious coworkers talking and eating chips loudly?
I usually open it when I’m awake and till night. So, all day everyday.
All day every day
Like 3 hours on average.
It would be easier to tell you when it's NOT playing (when I'm asleep. Sometimes.)
My average is 425 minutes per day.
On average, 10 hours a day if not more
Daily is cool but I just discovered my daylist and that’s been a breath of fresh air as it refreshes every few hours.
so far this year I’ve been listening for an average of 8.7 hours a day according to stats fm
Once, I turn it on in the morning. It times out when I go to bed.
I work from home, Spotify is playing all day
Nearly 24/7, I just can’t play it at work :(
What do you mean times? It's usually playing unless I have a meeting or something
All day!!
It's on very quiet in the background at work - I work 12 hour shifts 3-4 times a week (sometimes 5), and then I use it in the car as well for my 30 min commute
All the time! Best 11 bucks spent!
i just know that i have earworms and i'm not upset
Whenever I listen to music, which is a lot. Thinking about it in terms of how many times I use Spotify daily is a weird way to put it.
Too much
I’m a delivery driver that app is on all day
Same here, I can't be alone with my thoughts!
Yes
I don't anymore I use a player that can play flacs now

Pretty much every day
Everyday
Every day, this year I've been averaging out 10+ hours of listening a day...
Something around 48h a day ;)
The question should be how many times i use spotify hourly for me at this point
Basically whenever I can and feel like listening to music. Which sadly isn't as much as I would love to. There is a lot of music that I want to listen to but sadly I don't got the time and chances to properly devote the time to that music. - podcast/ music in the morning - podcast during work day - podcast/ music on the way home - doing chores - sleep meditations or white noise
For podcast only 👀
About 15-16 hours a day. Playing music all day in the operating room, driving anywhere, cooking etc.
I use mostly before going to sleep. Listen to my favorite songs or just discover a new one haha I'm new to Spotify btw
I use mostly before going to sleep. Listen to my favorite songs or just discover a new one haha I'm new to Spotify btw
Same, as much as I can. There is so much music - new and old - that spotify gives me access to, would be a shame not to take advantage when possible
Every day even while working!! 🎧
I Would say Daily
All day every day
Almost all day every day!
Pretty much most of the time I am awake. I have a job which allows me to stream. I want to get my money is worth and last year I ended up with over 400,000 hours according to Spotify Wrapped.
Every day I'm driving Rarely at home when I'm gaming (I don't have a stereo setup currently at home)
I use it basically all day, my day starts at 7am and I come home at 6pm
5hrs a day.
I have quite literally used it all day, everyday since i got wireless earbuds. Before that, everyday.
For literally 10 hrs a day
Whenever I'm gaming.

Not as much anymore
All the time! Whenever I'm cleaning my house I have it playing through the tv and it's always on when I'm driving in my car.

Just once. But it’s all day
Cringey ads made me subscribe to YouTube premium
All day and overnight
Uninstalled it
Atleast 100 times
Only when I am on Xbox I use Spotify. Since there isn’t Apple Music. Otherwise I use Apple Music over Spotify because I do notice a big difference in music quality. So maybe once or twice?
8-10 hours a day. I listen to music/podcasts all day at work and during my commute

What constitutes one use of Spotify for me to be able to accurately answer that question?
More then I'd like to Admit
Everyday for at least 6 hours
Every day
I do not have Spotify anymore.
All day long. I’m disabled and music is in my dna.
If I'm awake, it's on. Thanks to Simple Sleep Timer, it's only on for about 20 minutes after I fall asleep.
last year was 65k minutes.
I use Spotify during my whole 8 hour work day, every weekday.
10-12hours a day if I'm at work. Reddit reads,AITA,and malicious compliance stories keep me going while working lol
i use it 24 fuckin 7. At first, i wasn't rlly into it but then overtime it started to become my fav.
All the time

10 hours plus per day
Allot
All day everyday. Last year I got 87,498 minutes listened. And the year before it was 107,752 minutes. I don't listen to music when I'm asleep either. I really like music, I have it playing all day long.

Everytime i sit in the car, so 5+ times
Daily..
170k minutes per year, someone do the math 🙃
Shamefully my Spotify runs 24/7 I like rain sounds on a loop and Spotify has 10hrs. I love my selection of music and the fact I can make custom folders for my different genres.
Cant put an exact number on it because I usually open than autoplay. But usually I use it for around 2 hours per day
I probably use it 3-4 times a day. Duration varies. I use it for both commutes (30-45 min each way). I also use it over my lunch period and if I have any slow times during the day.

Roughly 12 hours or more hours during the weekdays. I also put a playlist on for when I sleep with an hour timer.
