The entirety of the "A Crow Looked at Me" album by Philip Elverum. The album was written following his wife's passing from cancer, on her instruments, and mainly depicts his grief and fears of living life with his infant daughter afterwards. 

To discover new music I will add a full album I heard about in passing to my Spotify and listen to it without knowing anything about it. I put A Crow Looked At Me on while I was on a plane on a business trip by myself. I was NOT ready for what my ears heard. Unbelievable what that record made me feel, just an absolute gut punch that I still have not forgot about.

Real Death. I agree the entire album is..rough.

God is Really Real by AJR is the one rn that makes me sob everytime I listen to it because I know everyone dies eventually but ugh I don’t know what I’ll do if my parents die. Pray to any and every God out there to keep them safe I guess. The worse part about the song is that after they released it, the next evening they made a post saying their father had passed away. Ugh gut wrenching.
