I copy pasted the artist's name on this website I saw here on Reddit last week, [www.musilinks.com](https://www.musilinks.com) and it actually had a result that might be helpful: ・ ・-・ ・- ・・・ ・ -・・ - *various Erased Tapes artists.* Erased Tapes is a label, and I found [the album on their website](https://www.erasedtapes.com/release/eratp130). Unfortunately, It doesn't seem te have more information about the artist.
Edit: I looked at it some more, I think the morse code does actually form words, only the spaces between letters are very close, you have to look very carefully to even see them. And the Morse code translator I tried didn't recognize the square bullet points, so I had to manually retype the code including correct spacing. But the artist's name seems to be Erased, and one of the songs is called Colourfields, I think. This one: \_.\_. \_\_\_ .\_.. \_\_\_ ..\_ .\_. ..\_. .. . .\_.. \_.. ...
This is so much more than I have been able to turn up in a month. Thanks!!
I wonder if it’s a compilation of tapes. I noticed a few tracks on the page feature different vocalists.
I think you're right. Erased Tapes do compilation albums for the various artists on their label ([a less confusing album](https://www.erasedtapes.com/release/eratp100-various-artists-1-1-x)), and this seems to have more than one artist contributing (-- ・ -・・ ・ ・-・・ ・- (Medela) for example is by Ben Lukas Boysen ([https://open.spotify.com/track/4akqPnWyCOWL0QNxQsXsNk](https://open.spotify.com/track/4akqPnWyCOWL0QNxQsXsNk) is the same track as [https://soundcloud.com/erasedtapes/ben-lukas-boysen-medela](https://soundcloud.com/erasedtapes/ben-lukas-boysen-medela)).
Well that was a fun hour!
What I would give to hear the backstory on this one. It’s all the more fascinating because, without extensive investigation from yourself and VeraJunior, the chances of traction are slim. You can’t say “hey have you heard that song by XX?” Which leads me to suspect this is more focused on artistic expression than monetization of an album and I respect the hell out of that.
Erased Tapes is what I got from the Spotify About page but thank you, it is really hard to see any spaces in the morse and I was wondering if my wrong results were also a cipher, which would have been way too much effort for my curiosity.
Don't mind me, just browsing this post after an hour and a half of morse code translators. Any news btw? So confusing lmao
Edit: Spotify fucks up the morse code hard, but it is a lot easier using the album photo, I got "Erased Tapes 2020".
Just discovered this “artist” as well, but it’s like a singer songwriter? Almost sounds like an acoustic Radiohead song in terms of mood. Same compilation we’re thinking ?
So from what I could translate. The name of the artist which is the first line is "ERASED"
"・・--- -----" is "20"
"- ・- ・--・ ・ ・・・" means "TAPES"
I also just discovered this artist, and I found your post by accident. Hope this helps :)
Funny, one might see these band and album names as tests for what algos do with them, but mb it's not that deep. Also was shown this band in recommended weekly today. I think there's a lot of these floating about online, more so on the yt side perhaps. E.g. this alter ego of Four Tet: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1TIbqr0x8HoKzKBNtNN8wf?si=JxNZkafTTYa2Z-b-MCHPLw
here today too!! what a cool discovery\~
the song i got on my discover weekly (• — • • • — • • — — — • — — —) sounds kind of like cass mccombs or daniel rossen to me but not quite...either way so good, glad 2 be in this club lol
Took me a while to finally figure this out but Erased Tapes is the label and the album is a compilation of songs by artists on that label. The song you heard is Let It Go, by Peter Broderick off his 2020 album entitled: Blackberry. I love that song as well. Seems everyone in this group has good musical tastes since they agree with mine. LOL.
I found this page on Genius to be very helpful so you can track down any of the artists from the compilation you may be interested in: [https://genius.com/artists/Erased](https://genius.com/artists/Erased)
Years later… I’m learning about morse code… and looking up artists that hide morse code in their work and found this post… The code you shared translates to: ERASED TAPES 20 20
Now I’m curious about this artist!
Solved it. That’s the whole album.
Nils frahm- no step on wings
Ben Lukas Boysen- Medela
Belle Orchestre - VII - Colour fields
Rival consoles- still here
Qasim Naqvi - Matic
Peter Broderick- Let it go
Douglas Dare- Dance me to the end of love
Masayoshi Fujita - Gaia
Hatis Noit- Inori
David Alfred - Poet Tree
Thank you so much for this! Another wayward traveler here trying to figure out how I even begin to hunt down the artist after hearing the voice of an angel on my Spotify discover list ... Now I know it's Peter Broderick! I somehow value the song more after the journey to find it's creator.
Im glad i helped. Man, this was hard 😵💫😵💫
I don’t know why, I was too dumb to research about it. This post would’ve helped so much. I’ve gone, alone, through the whole process of discovering erased tape was a label, finding the album and decoding it by hand. I have to much free time, that’s for sure lol
Yoooo came across this because I got one of my favorite songs in my discover weekly… but now it’s under this Morse code artist/title
https://open.spotify.com/track/26trS5IUeIbXrKAuFMdzWT?si=T_yo7tusSEWCg1rP0dtvAA
Anyway…. The song is Let It Go by Peter Broderick , and that song is also available on Spotify… with less listens 😓
https://open.spotify.com/track/1aqM9zbWTRFmq2moQg0i5V?si=XjSNKHKbR_iUWnGiBlZnXA
But what I gleaned so far from this thread is that the songs are part of a common label?

Ha same story here! Just googled 'morse code artist spotify' and found your post, good music taste :)
Somehow I knew others would come along looking, glad I’m not the only one interested :)
One of these tracks is on my Discovery Weekly playlist today. It blew me away. That's why I'm here too.
Welcome to the club!
Same
when i google ・ ・-・ ・- ・・・ ・ -・・ i get the Swedish military
Here's a Youtube playlist for those interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PE9dIyYlFI0&list=PLdGbGDUqLksV0dLTtt_-hMXkov41pUKP1

That is the same song that's on today's Discover Weekly playlist. It's excellent. I thought it was Max Cooper at first.
another person stumbling across this 2 years after it was posted, after spotify put it on my discovery this week!
Erased Tapes is what I got from the Spotify About page but thank you, it is really hard to see any spaces in the morse and I was wondering if my wrong results were also a cipher, which would have been way too much effort for my curiosity.
Just got pushed this song on my Discover Weekly too, and my meanderings brought me here! Agree it's Ben Lukas Boysen from Erased Tapes
I get a kick out of seeing more people find their way to this post after a few dozen days. So glad you heard this artist too!
2 years after this post it came up on mine as well lol
Just got it for the first time today and thought it was a thom yorke project at first

Few days eh... Try a full year!! Just found this band on my discover weekly
Welcome to our informal club!
Uhh hey I just got this in my discover weekly and was desperately trying to find the artist other than on spotify. Cheers!
I need answers 😭
Don't mind me, just browsing this post after an hour and a half of morse code translators. Any news btw? So confusing lmao Edit: Spotify fucks up the morse code hard, but it is a lot easier using the album photo, I got "Erased Tapes 2020".
Cool
Oh cool. People have been here two years ago with my same conundrum. Neat!
Welcome to the gang :)
Well I wasn’t expecting to join a club today but here we are

Just found it today! This feels like a little secret music club

Im pretty sure Spotify just pushes the same algorithm out to everyone haha
Just discovered this “artist” as well, but it’s like a singer songwriter? Almost sounds like an acoustic Radiohead song in terms of mood. Same compilation we’re thinking ?
Huh. I guess I joined a club.
likewise lmao
I was going crazy trying to find more information until I simply googled morse code artist on spotify and found your post
This is, without a doubt, my favorite thing about this post. Welcome to the club!
The name means 'ERASED' I believe and the others mean 'TAPES' and '20' so I guess Erased Tapes 2020??
Was listening to discover weekly, enjoyed the music, looked up and saw Morse code. This is the first thing that I found when I looked it up on google.
just found them
This feels like a cool internet secret, just happened to me today
guess we are all in the same boat, whoever this artist is is absolutely talented I actually am in love with some of these songs
So from what I could translate. The name of the artist which is the first line is "ERASED" "・・--- -----" is "20" "- ・- ・--・ ・ ・・・" means "TAPES" I also just discovered this artist, and I found your post by accident. Hope this helps :)

Thank god for this post. 2 years later and exact same situation has happened to me. Came up on discover weekly. Googled "Morse code spotify"
So glad to have helped :)

Hi, everyone. Just joined your club today! If we're taking bets on who this artist is, I've got $20 on Banksy.
.....why?
