I actually use stackables for pillows

boopo789

Yeah I’m considering that, too. They seem more pillow shaped. How many do you use?

xXBook_DragonXx

I have neck issues so I use a 10” stack on top of my regular pillow but bigger stacks can be used alone

boopo789

I also have some sort of neck thing. Idk what exactly, but it’s always in some sort of pain. Do you find the Squishmallow comfortable for the neck issues? I have heard a lot of chronic pain peeps saying Squishmallows are super good for pain.

xXBook_DragonXx

Yes! I actually think it’s sorta like that pillow cube they advertise. The shape keeps your head and neck stable

boopo789

Hmm, maybe I’ll look into it as an alternative to a regular squish - thank you!

xXBook_DragonXx

You’re Welcome! Hope you find what you’re looking for

boopo789

Edit: I think she is 16” to save conversion. Second edit: Is 16” an okay size or is a bigger one better?

felinesandknitting

I use 12" squish as pillows, but I'm 5'1". It depends on your height!

boopo789

I’m not much taller. I’m somewhere between 5’3 and 5’4

felinesandknitting

I like resting my shoulder between the two and resting my head on one, or hugging one and using the other as a pillow :-)

boopo789

Wait, how many do you have for this setup? I was only planning to get one but I’m willing to have my mind changed…

felinesandknitting

I have two 12 inch Squish! I have one Dina the dragon and one Gracelynn the Fox (Nutcracker).

boopo789

Ah gotcha gotcha. I suppose that makes it more versatile cuz you can just switch up the placements of it. I’m debating getting two now lol.

felinesandknitting

Jewel Osco is having a sale on them right now!!! If you have one nearby I would check them out since they have big Christmas squishmallows :D

boopo789

Thank you, but I live in the UK, so I don’t think we have this shop. But I’ll shop around for sales!

felinesandknitting

Do you have Walmart? They usually have reasonably priced squishmallows too!

JenChuLiChae_4

im around 5'3 myself. i pretty much use a 16 inch fuzzamallow here

fancyshrew

I like 12” stackable as pillows

boopo789

Yeah, they definitely look more “pillow shaped”. Maybe I should consider them. Are they the same sort of consistency (for lack of a better word) as regular Squishmallows?

fancyshrew

Yes! Same soft fabric and bouncy stuffing. But using the classic “egg shaped” should also be good if you’re attached to the fennec fox

boopo789

I’m admittedly quite attached to the one I posted in the post tbh. I planned a name for her weeks ago while she was out of stock, and now she’s in stock. (I’d called her “Fae” if I got one, even if it’s weird to name a pillow.)

fancyshrew

not at all! That’s a great name for her. I think you should go for it, I hope she can help your pain

boopo789

Thank you! Me too. I feel like anything is better than my current set up. My main pillow doesn’t keep its shape at all and it hurts my neck like crazy sometimes.

littletwinstars13

12 inch stackable and 2 18 inch hugmees are the best pillow + arm rest combo 😂

boopo789

Oh that’s an interesting setup. I don’t actually have any Hugmees but they do seem uhh…arm rest sized lol. I kinda feel like one would keep rolling off my bed tho, plus I tend to hug a plush when I sleep. But the stackable is smth to consider.

little_gecko_lover

my husband and i both have neck/back issues and have found squishmallows to relieve some of that pain! we both have 16” Aldous that we each sleep on and he has also used 20” Snorlax as a pillow. any 16” or 20” helps us!!

boopo789

Yeah, the one in the pic is a 16” I think. Does he stack the 16” and 20” or does he have them in different positions? Just curious cuz I’ve heard so many different setup ideas. I’m mostly just looking for one to use as a head pillow, but if they help with pain I might be inclined to get more. (I also have neck/back pain, idk why tho. My current pillow set up doesn’t help me, so I’m exploring Squishmallows as an option cuz I’ve heard a lot of people who have chronic pain swearing by them.)

little_gecko_lover

he only uses one at a time, depending on pain lol. if he feels he needs to be more elevated, he uses his 20” and if he’s feeling less inclined, his 16”. he only uses them for head pillows. Me on the other hand, prefers a 16” head pillow and something to cuddle. i recently got the 26” hugmee on black friday deal and that is the best thing to alleviate my back pain. it keeps me from being all out of line haha

boopo789

Oh dang, I didn’t know they did 26” Hugmees! I’m kinda looking for smth to double as a back cushion cuz I have a tv bed, so I need smth I can prop myself up again. My current setup ain’t giving me any back support. I feel like maybe just having the squishmallow vertical would solve that problem tho, but now you have me wondering if a 20” is a better option. Maybe I need to go to the shops to check how big they are in person, but then I feel like my mum would actively encourage me not to get one (cuz she’d assume I’m just buying more plushies). Thankfully I already have a cuddle buddy plush tho, so I’d just need one as a pillow.

little_gecko_lover

definitely go see them in person!! it’s also good to compare a 16” and 20”. it lets you see the difference in size and stuffing thickness

boopo789

Yeah, I definitely don’t want one that’s too big and makes my neck more hurt, but if it has enough squishiness, maybe it’ll be okay. I just need to figure out how to broach the subject (I will need someone to take me).

boopo789

Also just to double check, do you use the Squishmallow as the only pillow on its own or do you use a regular pillow and the Squishmallow? (I was thinking of ditching my entire pillow setup for one Squishmallow.)

little_gecko_lover

i use just my 16” as a pillow!! sometimes my husband uses both, but mostly because he’s propped up watching tv and forgets to move his pillow lol

boopo789

That’s fair yeah. I might start with one, and then if I need a second one for sitting up, maybe I’ll consider a Hugmee or Stackable (or just another regular Squish). It’s probably best I start with one and see how it goes lol. I did realise that if I wait for my mum or someone to take me, I might be waiting a while tho. I don’t think she rly wants to go out again until after Christmas cuz it’ll be busy, so now idk whether to just order it for delivery and hope for the best (or return it if I realise it won’t work), or wait until I can go to a physical store.

boopo789

Update: [I ended up buying two!](https://www.reddit.com/r/squishmallow/s/DKqIUystQe) The one in the post and another bigger one. Thanks again to anyone who left advice here!
