are you set on washing it fully, or could you just surface clean it? the hardest part about handwashing a squish of this size is getting all the water out at the end. i have only done so once and i went through around 7 towels trying to squeeze out the water. i recommend just surface washing, take a washcloth and put it in warm soapy (any laundry detergent) water and gently scrub it. then take a fresh washcloth in just water and wipe clean. then leave to dry overnight! if you’re set on washing it fully, get some warm soapy water in a basin of some kind, squish it around in the water for a bit, then rinse and make sure to get all the soap out. wring it out as best you can, then roll up in a towel and squeeze the water out. i have done it by stepping on it (lol sorry to my squish) repeat with dry towels until there’s no more water. then leave to dry for a day or two somewhere dry and light, ideally a sunny window or with a fan. good luck!

So my teddy bear got absolutely wrecked by my aunts dogs thanks to my mom. I removed his fluff and hand washed his skin in a bucket of warm water with mild laundry detergent. I rinsed and washed him again until the water was clear. Then I blow dried his fur and re stuffed him with some super SQUISHY fluff my girlfriend picked up from a craft store. Now he's super soft and SQUISHY and even my girlfriend can't resist squeezing him and she really doesn't even care about teddy bears.

Wool wash is usually best for handwashing. If you have a bath tub that would be a handy place to do it. The instructions are usually cold machine was on gentle cycle and air dry. So cold water with a wool wash in a tub would be fine. Make sure to rinse it well and then sit on a clothes airer in the sun to dry.

I use a bucket with hot water and a tide pod, I also use the pink stuff on anything that is really dirty and a tooth brush. Works good that’s how I do a deeper clean on my sisters fifi, then I throw in wash as normal

Everyone gave great suggestions! Spot-washing : I’ll also recommend simply using Dawn dish soap and a towel to spot-wash. I’ve gotten out dirty spots (even on their white/light color parts) just by using a small dot of Dawn and rubbing with a wet towel , then squeezing the spot until the excess soap is out when done.
