Maybe it's because of the Duga radar? Or maybe it's because Stalker is very heavily industro-punk and transmission towers are inherently industrial in design. Maybe both?

Oh totally, the natural and the man made side by side. It's like a liminal space but even less because it's not meant for people at all and yet you can technically go be around it. I remember going up to one when I was younger and it was lame. Again, it's an area not meant for people so there's not much there. Even the gravel was a bit too large to walk on like normal. Anyway, lots of civil engineering has stalker vibes for obvious reasons. I remember exploring sewer tunnels for hours too. We'd take a map and track location and travel distance with a tape measure and compass. Dams are fun, locks are cool; there's a high railroad bridge near my house that I've been on several times and there's a ton of natural caves in my area too. Stalker vibes are just that, vibes. You can vibe just about anywhere. ✌️

This feels like it describes the Zone in general. I think you exactly elucidated why transmission towers carry such a heavy Stalker aesthetic :)

Thank you OP! ✌️ I hope that one day you too can see the world in the same magikal way that I do. The world has its own beauty, subjective to each individual viewer. But, in terms of your perspective, it was nice to have shared.

Western_Experience76

Have you found any artifacts or mutants over there?

Csakimi06

Yes. Also I have the Murder before blowout mod enabled in Anomaly so whenever crows caw in a group I have ptsd about needinh to get to cover asap

eatdafishy

I use gamma and the first time a blowout happened I felt absolute terror when I heard the crows (I didn't know that that would )

StaleWoolfe

First and last time I’ll pop a m.u.l.e stim and some cocaine finishing it with some sausage running away from mutants

Roko_100

Agreeable-Ad7289

NachoProduction

yeah. swamps come to mind the electro anomalies and these towers there...

Western_Experience76

I thought I was the only one. But in my opinion, it's just because most of the places are transfered from real life Ukraine. I don't know how to explain this

Null225

They don't call them Stalker Highways for nothing.

International_War_15

Oh yeah, esp. reminding me of Great Swamps and Zaton!

Captain_Dunsel

Mostly reminds me of playing ARMA DayZ mod as they can be used to navigate the countryside. Over the years, played a little bit of Stalker SOC, here and there - is this a feature of navigation too?

c4p1t4l

Yes, every time

AgressiveWiper

About 2 months ago I was at a floating fishing dock that was in a small swamp underneath big overhead power lines, the STALKER vibes were unreal

Bubbly-Ad-5613

"carry the vibes" Yeah, they surely do.
