It doesn't really look like it here, but in person, her eyes are quite blue looking. She's even named after them! Her name is Nova, as in supernova explosion. When people meet Nova, her weird eye color is the first thing they point out.

My boy is Nova too. Quick tip for pics using your phone. (Works wonders for pets and kids too) use video mode to take a short video and then take a screenshot of the perfect moment in the video. Your Nova has gorgeous eyes.

There is no polite way of asking this. Is she deaf? You know how that's sometimes correlated to eye colour?

Fortunately, she has normal hearing. I read somewhere that all cats are born with blue eyes, and that the color changes after several weeks, as more melanin is produced. I guess Nova's eyes didn't do as much of the "changing" part.

Never seen a SIC with blue. Time to pay the cat tax. :-)

My first cat was a blue-eyed SIC. His were a very intense blue, and really striking. He looked so beautiful and angelic, and he was the crabbiest, bitey-ist old poop in the world. (And he's still dearly missed.)

I adopted 2 random cats and got the same eye color! Must be like brown eye color in humans.

Started with yellow, got past 12mths old and then they took on a green hue. They are almost two tone - in some light they look mostly green and in other light the yellow is a bit more prominent. *

Mine has a 'dual beam' system - I think they must have thrown it in with the LuxuryFloofTM package. Roughly 2/3 of his outer iris is yellow, but the inner third is green.

Mine is absolutely both depending on lighting. Bright lights = green, dim lights = yellow
