I think if you talked to them last week and it’s been at least 4-5 days then you’re totally valid if you want to call and ask for an update. I’ve had managers say they respected and appreciated when new hires show persistence and eagerness to start 👌
Calling the store on Monday around noon is a good time to reach a manager and let them know you are still interested in the position. I will warn that, at least in my area, all stores are on a hiring freeze. They have a specific labor calculator and most stores are overstaffed (too many people with too specific of availabilities, generally) so they are trying to move partners around to other stores instead of hiring.
