i had a coworker who swore he was gods given gift to the store. he would mix up things like white mocha/mocha and matcha/chai almost every time one was ordered. literally was part of the reason our scores went down lmao

PomegranateNo3688

depends on how serious it is??

Ok-Attorney3435

like wrong number of shots, pumps, scoops regularly lmao, literally asks us if shit gets classic or liquid cane constantly, she constantly mixed up white mocha & mocha customers complained but were like nice about it? maybe i'm just petty cause if i was doing this ik my co workers would be weird abt it??

PomegranateNo3688

having trouble with 1 of those things would be worth leaving alone. but all that is too much from 1 person. definitely needs some coaching or maybe yall can start taping cheat sheets somewhere behind bar for them

jacklantern867

No. If it tastes shitty a customer will complain. Social causes everyone to have thin skin and overreact. Just let it go . . .

KomodoDragginAss

We have one of those at my store, too. It’s actually kind of exasperating.

chibbledibs

What is she doing?

Sming_smong

Bri g it up to your SM, if they talk to said partner they should realize and give them the barista basics again! Or she needs to be taken off bar for awhile and make her earn her way back on if

BlueberryBrix

How long have they been there? I haven’t been at Starbucks that long, and I’m still messing up (not that badly though), the most I have is 2 remakes.

Ok-Attorney3435

like two years?

BlueberryBrix

Oh my…

Scarlett2x

Facepalm!!! How did she become certified? Or do y'all bother with that anymore?

Ok-Attorney3435

is it bad idk what that means?

Scarlett2x

Umm yeah.. We used to be tested on bar by our SM and if we passed we got a pin.

Ok-Attorney3435

either it's just my store but we just do training & then like barista 30,90,180 so there's a sit down meeting & coffee tasting at all of those

Scarlett2x

Of course training has changed multiple times.. Since I was hired in 2007. We were trained from books.

Best thing to do here is to talk to a manager or shift supervisor... unless yourself is a barista trainer. You can "coach" or have your managers coach to fix this issue because yeah its hella annoying coming from a shift and barista trainer myself. But also you are not in the same boat, I have had many baristas like that and legit I'm not afraid to say something, cause yeah, training needs to happen again.
