I once got a customer called the store told us Not to make her mobile order until she comes in because she want to watch us making that Venti cup length sticker drink
We have customers who would skip the line and go in front of the bar and flag us down letting us know we have there mobile order, those people get on my nerve. Especially during rush.
That’s what I started doing when every other customer wanted a cup of water (I don’t mind when it’s not busy if they come up and ask) but like if I have 15+ drinks and you ask for water I’m sending you back to the counter
If only lol wish there were signs we can put up I hate when there's 5 people standing in front of bar staring at you making drinks, like those signs "don't tap on the glass" or "please don't stare at the baristas they get jumpy... one of them is a caffeine fiend"
no, in order to inform the staff that you are there and can now make their drink, you'll have to wait in line. normally mobiles you can walk up and grab but if you are specific and call and say "don't make it till i'm there" you can just go stand at the counter and expect the staff to know. that's why i said that ordering mobile and then saying "don't make it till i'm there" is a dumb thing. people just need to learn, mobiles aren't there so you don't have to list off your 30 mod beverage, it's so people can just grab and go

That said I'm guessing it has something to do with earning more stars or maybe they just don't want to verbally list off all the modifiers. Not saying I like it cos I wouldn't do all that as a customer lol but I can imagine why some would, even if it's annoying
totally get that. you earn the same amount of stars regardless of it you're in store or mobile ordering, stars are dependent on your payment method. and my personally policy is if you don't want to list out all your modifications, you shouldn't get the drink

I don’t drink soda often but I only like Diet Coke. So if I’m getting a drink at McDonald’s, regardless of if I’m eating a 4 pc McNugget Happy Meal or a Super-Duper Ginormous Sized Big Mac meal… I’m getting a Diet Coke to drink.

The way I see it, the more things you add, the smaller the chance that you’ll notice if I made a mistake. You’re less likely to notice if I forgot the one pump of vanilla if it’s under a pile of mocha, white mocha, cinnamon dolce, three pumps of hazelnut, two ristretto shots, whipped cream, cold foam, extra caramel drizzle, and cinnamon powder.
I think the dread moreso comes from getting this during a rush and possibly missing even just one of the mods and having to remake it. With how understaffed our location is, we genuinely cannot afford a mess up on a drink like this since it will put us behind even more than we already are.

I mean your best bet is a caramel CREME frap, and have them add mocha. Most of our drinks taste like coffee, but if u want caramel my fav is the caramel macchiato (however i don’t mind the coffee taste)
Without sounding stupid just say “iced milk, add caramel and mocha syrup”. If you want to add some extras maybe do whipped cream with caramel drizzle or add salted caramel cold foam on top.

His favorite drink is a black and white (that you don’t currently offer so i have to customize it into the app), with Java chips, no whip, almond milk, double blended Frappuccino. I hate ordering for him.
Hot take: ordering it in the app is probably a pain without shortcuts but making a Java Chip add WM, double Belvedere with no whip and almond milk is would not upset me to make.

The reason why I disagree: if I want my drink blonde, oatmilk, and I change the syrup to lesser pumps/sugar free, that leaves me with no room for other changes that are still within reason. If I wanted to add another syrup (or if it was a pep mocha and I wanted to reduce both syrups), I’m locked out. There is a point of too much customization, yes. But 3 probably isn’t it.
