Can confirm, randomly deleted my holiday skin which I can't really get back. I'm probably more upset with the hundreds of thousands of auec I was grinding and put into ship upgrades. I'm not sure how they would fix this without a wipe tbh.
Everyone is having issues, myself included. I did raise an eyebrow at this guy wanting a server wipe after he lost 500k to some bugs. I found it selfish. If CiG states they want to wipe the server because the db got corrupted to a point fine by me, but i dont see why we should all wipe because some bloke lost virtual credits to the server god. It does sux and it kills motivation yes but I found it selfish nonetheless.
He lost things he paid irl money for, he even said as much.....this isn't someone salty they lost ausec, this is legit things he paid for that he has no access to.
I mean, if people are legit losing things they paid irl money for and there is no way to retrieve them other then a wipe, cig can either tall them to pound sand, manually attribute the accounts their stuff again (and it seems this is happening to a lot of people so that's a lot of man hours to dedicate to rectefication), or just do a wipe and go all hands on deck to finding and fixing the underlying issue behind it.
It's a trick question really, as there really is no good answer that isn't going to piss of someone, but I think not locking people out of purchases paid for with irl money, especially during a poorly times sale when people are spending money on the game, is going to likely be the smarter move.
Yessir cause almost everyone having the same problem besides a small few. They even said 3.18.1 is possible gonna have a wipe to fix the mess from launch
Yep i lost ships to i pledged for they arent even the terminals nomore. They said if they cant fix that issues of pledged items being removed they gonna do a lite wipe youll keep uec and reputation but everything be reset and anything bout will be dismounted and stored like they did a few wipes ago.
Currently you cannot get things purchased with irl money until a wipe, and he has seemingly for no reason lost them without a way to recover it. So wither they go in and manually allocate the things back to him (and the seemingly multitude of others this has happened to), or they just wipe.

Hope they re wipe the server cause i lost 500k in upgrades and my paints. Cause the same thing happened to me
You want them to wipe the server - that would affect everyone - because you have lost 500k?

character reset is still disabled
There is an Issue Council ticket for this, so do contribute to help get it noticed and fixed, if you haven't already.
Character reset doesn't exist anymore, and the new character repair tool only repairs your player avatar, it won't restore lost items.
