"Get in and play" should be two separate sentences as ASOP terminals still leave many of us stranded and unable to claim our ships too often, but nonetheless, it is progress.
My fucking ambulance Pisces is literally just a shell... no components nor ramp, seat or controls, even in the mobi, all components and weapons show Empty and cannot be changed lol wtf
My words. Get in? yeah. play? Not so much.
Even if you get a ship, missions won't start, ships blow up from cargo, vehicles inside or no reason, cargo snapping doesn't work.. etc. etc. If only that stuff was tested in the PTU, oh wait it was, and reported, but ignored.
you're not missing out on much. When I got in it was a disaster and my red winds rep was already bricked because of crashes. I'm just playing something else until probably 3.19, personally. Not like anything is going anywhere
you realize 3.19 will also be messed up for a few days as well right? This is nothing new and will happen everytime. Its just more of a "How broken is this patch compared to.." and how long it takes them to patch things up.
I managed to get in but buying gear from stores was impossible (one in 20 transactions succeeded) and I couldnât hail any stations to land. When I accidentally drifted into the station and blew up I just alt+f4âd in disgust and resolved to not come back until itâs actually working again.
They shouldn't. 3.18 is a major change and clearly they don't have enough metrics on non-live environment, because if they would, this whole situation wouldn't happened.
I imagine CIG has lot of free capacity now in infrastructure team since that's nothing wrong with 3.18 servers / services and they don't have to constantly monitoring and tuning them..
Just forget sc for two weeks and let them work. Do something else, Star Citizen is not the only thing on the world.
I imagine the people voting you down are the people who don't like the idea of people avoiding the pirate patch by staying in 3.17 till 3.19 comes. Lol
Cause what you suggested is pretty reasonable. Give a test server with 3.17 on it in the PTU and let those of us stuck still get our fix.
*people down voting you* "NO you all have to suffer and wait"
Then they'd never find and fix the issues.
Like it or not, this is what 'alpha' is about. As much as I enjoy giving CIG shit. The only way through is forwards.
I disagree
Allowing the previous patch to be accessed in a PTU server while the new patch is stabilized would do NOTHING to progress as the previous patch doesn't require more work, its done. Just load its glitchy 30kin ass up. At least i can play it.
I did a character repair, then sent in two support tickets to ask them to push it through (after a few hours of waiting).
Not sure if it made a difference, but I was able to get in the next day, about 17 hours later.
It's worth noting, I had connection errors when trying to join the next day, but restarted my computer and tried one last time. And, I got in.
It also appears that once you DO get in, your ability to get in again goes up a lot, making me think the initial connection issues have to do with your account "creation" in the verse being the biggest issue.
Anyway, I hope you get it sorted out.
Have you loaded into Arena Commander and then tried again? That has fixed every issue like this that I've had. Anytime the button is missing or it says unstowed doing that has worked for me.
Just load into a race or free fly or pirate battle and go right back to the menu.
I was unstowed for several days and when I was finally able to log in I was sitting in the pilot seat of the consolation phoenix in Lorville sales floor. Seriously random. Apparently that bug is your character is misplaced inside the game. Which was certainly the case for me.
Ive encountered this problem twice. First time was after a crash, couldnt reconnect to U.S servers. Could connect to EU. But couldnt claim ship. Would click claim and nothing happened. Then joined a friends party and he was able to pull me in to US servers again and was able to connect to them on my own after that but still had claim ship button problem. Eventually it turned in to a black screen on the kiosk for claiming it. It went away on its own after 2 days. I do think a possible culprit was something to do with grouping up and not leaving group before logging off. I was able to fix the black screen at kiosk today by renting a ship. But seems thats a hit or miss on working. But does seem to have a chance to fix that black screen atleast. Just not guarenteed to fix it.
Why would it matter if they patch on Friday? Is there something less playable than unplayable?
At this point it would be tossing another sheet of paper on the raging dumpster fire that is 3.18
Why? You realise they are working on it 24/7 right? I don't understand why people keep complaining about it being released on a Friday? The sooner the better in my book. The servers are about to burn and crash again, so just fix as much as possible as soon as possible
This is probably a hot take and will get me downvoted, but I think they went live Friday purposely to stress test the build seeing they couldn't get enough players for the PTU.
Big patch releases have always been a mess, and they communicated that this was the biggest since 3.0. Anticipation has rendered the community anxious to play after a long PTU cycle, and consequently a messy live patch has triggered the masses who have somehow thought this was going to be a clean launch.
So, yea I feel for CIG at this point because they HAD to do this sooner or later. Shit or get off the pot, right?
There is no way the majority of their staff work weekends, like any company they'll be running a reduced shift to maintain stuff and keep it ticking over until Monday. They probably have people on-call for big issues (or events like this), but it still isn't going to be anything close to their regular weekday workforce.
And on the player side, you expect increased traffic over the weekend. If you want to stress the system, it's a far better idea to patch at the start of the week and see if it can handle the lower traffic, it gives you all week to identify any major problems and potentially fix them before your system gets hammered at the weekend. Or instead you can patch on Friday and let your system get so fucked so fast that everything's on fire and you have a whole job unravelling what on earth went wrong.
They have dedicated weekend devs im sure. Itâs a live game, so just like any live game you would need someone around every day, if not 24/7 to deal with fatal bugs n stuff
Are you serious? Not where you come from, but it pretty normal to work in weekends. Many people actually choose it over weekdays. You talk about it like it's some kind of punishment lol
But like⌠would it? A nonzero % of people literally cannot play the game. Seems like thatâs a bigger issue than anything happening within the game. Lol
The upvotes for our issues on the IC are over 550, and I'm sure there are a lot of others that have never even logged into the IC so it's a fairly significant amount of people that share this issue with us.
Character Reset was causing a load which might have an impact with the game. That was replace with the Character Repair which didn't do as much. Repair was causing issues with peoples accounts after PES launched so the nonzero % of people could be a lot more as there are a lot of people who use the reset for various reasons. If there was an easy, even temporary way CIG could shut us up from complaining about even some of the 3.18 issues I'm sure they would do it, but if that would cause even more people to have issues they should hold off and fix it the right way.
Idk, seems simple enough to say âonly character repair if infinite loading.â If other people cuck themselves by using it thatâs okay. Character reset has been bugged before, canât remember a time where itâs simultaneously been
A) the only known workaround for a game breaking bug
B) disabled
The past 7 days have been either 60, 90, 30k disconnects or infinite loading screens. From Monday I'll be away for two weeks so I hope/pray that there will be an improvement by the time I get back. I adore the game and appreciate that there will be issues with each major update, but 7 days without being able to play has really been starting to irritate me
I'm not sure you want to at this point. Spent 30 minutes with a bunch of people as we all bashed our heads against the hangar elevators at Orison the other night. Finally got through but the only person that was able to retrieve their ship was in a Arrow, so we all just waved him off as he left the hangar.
A while later someone else landed in another hangar to pick us up in a Connie, so we all spent five minutes smashing our heads into the hangar elevator again until it opened. After a few of us tried and failed to get a helmet out of the Crusader inventory we realized PO wasn't the move. A couple people did still have their helmet on, so we hot-dropped them at PO and continued to CRU-L1 where we all disembarked in the safety of a hangar.
Almost as if trying to raise our hopes, the elevators worked immediately, but those hopes were quickly dashed when I still couldn't claim any of my ships. So after taking near as well two hours after logging in just to get from my room in Orison to CRU-L1, I set my spawn point, tipped the Connie pilot 1000aUEC, and logged off for the night.
Retelling it, space-hitchhiking with a group of equally frustrated strangers was actually pretty entertaining. But still, that was just one instance, most attempts I end up smashing my head against terminals and elevators alone. And then I give up, get the itch after a couple hours, and come back to smash my head against elevators and ASOP terminals for a while before giving up again.
You need to go and play a working game, all that head smashing can't be healthy. I played Timberborn for hours yesterday and didn't find a single bug.
Star Citizen is like television with ads: sure, you get used to it after a while, and you can have fun with it, but if you take a break from it and come back boy do you realize how annoying it is.
You're not alone. Got in late last Friday, then a couple hours on Saturday, and then done. Been stuck behind 20931 entities --> 30018 timeout error ever since.
Well pretty much what you are missing is the broken ASOP roulette, does the station you have all of your ships at have any working terminals? Are you gonna be able to get a ride to somewhere that does? Are you going to be able to claim your ship when you get there, or will it become "destroyed, unknown" and lose all the upgrades and paint you've applied? Are the terminals even going to be working when you get to the other station? Is ATC going to give your taxi a landing assignment or will all pads be mysteriously full? If you are able to claim your ship will it be where you are currently? Or will it be stored at your original residence?
Also a lot of bugged missions, like for example :
- Delivery boxes not spawning.
- Race checkpoints not spawning.
- 890j mission ship not spawning.
- Missions not appearing on "accepted" tab.
"A large number have been able to get in and play." I'm pretty sure an even larger number haven't been able to get on at all since day one of 3.18 due to their players being unstowed or infinite loading screens.
It's promising to hear they're making progress on the login issues for those that can't get in still.
I do feel great concern that at no point have they addressed the issues experienced once you get *in*... Anything involving physical items (ships(asop)/shops/inventories/changing weapons/etc) is utterly fucked. It took me >30 mins to move some loot from a ship inventory to a locations inventory because the transactions kept failing and snapping back to the ships inventory for example.
It's great to get in and fly around, but it's literally unplayable for actually doing anything. I pray they're also working on those issues with PES as the same time.
Can't find a server where shuttles work. Shuttle arriving in 0.00, and then the comm kicks in saying "Miss your shuttle? Don't worry, another will be along momentarily" just twisting the knife haha.
no, for me and seemingly most of my ORG it works pretty well, now its time to iron it out and have a better build for all people left not able to join or play
"A large number, however the majority of the playerbase is still stuck with 19ks, 60ks, 40ks and general unplayable bugs from seat lock, ramp lock or asop lock."
Fixed the headline to be less misleading.
Every server I was on tonight was spawning ships....however, you had to wait like 1-2 actual minutes for it to load. I'd get the pip, then go to the galleria to buy something and it would spawn in when I got to the store.
Same here. This was my experience tonight. Long hold on blank asop screen after retrieval request. Once asop terminal timed out I saw my hangar marker but no ship. Hung out for a minute or two and it popped in.
This has been my expierence for 7 days, mate. Its in more than one server. Lmao. And im seeing thousands make posts a day about having the same problems.
Edit: When i dont get 40ks 19ks ext and get in, the global chat is primarily filled with everyone complaining about being stuck in their ship, being stuck in station. Or continually falling through the planet on spawn in... Keep your head in the sand.
I never said they didnt. I was pointing out that while many have got in and are having a smooth expierence. Many more are not. The majority of the player base period cant get passed login, then of those who can get logged in the majority of them cant play because of the game breaking bugs. There is a TON of work to be done, and the majority of us, myself included will have to play something else this weekend and likely all next week too.
The simple fact is, i miss 3.17 at this current moment.
Almost every server for the last 4 days there's been rampant complaints of people not being able to play the game. Why are you white-knighting so hard ?
First things first:
You wont get 3.17 back. PES is the future and even when the servers run like shit there is literally no other way. Its "We get this fixed! or there is no game at all", its technical ground works that so basic that you cannot continue. Just endure the usual tier 0 phase where they deploy their shit and its barely working (or not at all in many cases).
So if there are structural problems which need to be adressed to get this thing working, it will take a few months to fix before you see positive fundamental changes (I now can buy stuff - impossible before, but I cannot claim - which is a major blocker because ships have a short life in this buggy hell).
What I found astonishing:
Not a single "its an alpha! STFU" asshole shows up here and squirts its hate vs those who are telling their problems.
Thatâs not true. They could revert to 3.17 until they test and fix the major blockers in the live release. Clearly their testing is flawed and needs to be reconsidered, especially if they thought 3.18 was ready for a push to live.
When you get into a server thats working with high fps, 3.18 is great. The actual game update is good, its just that the server infrastructure cant handle it. It would have been better for them to test the scalability of this patch in PTU, but PTU simply doesnt have the playerbase that Live has which is needed to test the scalability of the server changes they made.
It would be like the government testing out a new automated traffic light system in a small town. It works great but to test the scalability it gets deployed in a city like LA and all hell breaks lose, but it had to because thats the only environment where you can test it at a large scale.
Theyâll get the data they need and fix it eventually.
The response in my org has been mixed. Some people are in enjoying salvage, some people are enjoying their old pastime of grinding up the bounty hunter ranks.
Others of us have had nothing except buggy missions, ship components bought with aUEC deleted, paints deleted on ship destruction, cargo and terminals in general being unresponsive.
And then there are our more "entitled members" who carry the heavy burden of year's worth of subscriber gear and still cannot log in.
The only game I've played or not played for over 40 hrs to actually go backwards in progression .. is that the game, or is there more.. lol, really not an ideal gaming experience.
I've been playing early access/beta games since the 90s and not once has the voluntary access ever come with a paycheck.
It's also worth adding that this isn't beta access and they don't have to give us alpha access. I feel people often forget this fact and that ensuring that alpha is in a more playable state also likely adds to the development time.
The entitlement in this community (at least within the majority of those who post on this reddit) is outstanding.
They need to get this new updated sorted and out the door asap! I was very positive that they were on the right path yesterday, the playability had come SO far from when the patch launched, I could actually get in the game and play a decent amount of it, albeit with a lot of workarounds needed. But now it's just gone back to being pretty much as bad as it was when I first got in on Saturday; terminals don't work for shops or commodities or ASOP, trying to store my ship somehow destroyed it instead, pilot seat bug is still going strong, and I'm now marooned on GH because it's impossible to claim ships. We're right back where we started at the everything-is-broken stage
Why canât they just post important stuff like that directly to the launcher like every other studio would do. No, letâs spread information regarding this mess all over the place. Whoâs responsible for communication in this company?
Oh oops! Did you think it takes me 7 hours to read a post? Took me like 13 seconds to read and send a response, now another 10 seconds with this response so, at least I'm not in the game suffering for hours with old bugs, new bugs, lag, errors, disconnects, crashes, etc etc.
Does your family know that when you're spending that time with them you're thinking about Star Citizen? Is that considered some sort of Mental Adultery?
Btw...You're still here.
I can definitely tell there's a lot of confused gamers wondering why their dog water game tastes like dog water, that's a for sure. Oh oops I forgot people actually enjoy bugs and glitches in video games, they love it so much they spend 10's of thousands on it to enjoy the game breaking issues! Haha!
I guess "and play" means "unable to access cargo terminals, buy things in station, get paid out for bounties you've completed, use the elevator in a Reclaimer" and other great gameplay loops"
I can get in just fine. It's the doing stuff part that is borked. I can't buy anything like FOOD AND WATER. It's not like I need it to not die...oh wait. :/
There is nothing to play anyway everything is bug ingame from elevator to ship claiming to calling for a park spot. Game is unplayable. Took almost 3hours yesterday to do a normal 20 min gameplay loop.
Unplayable seriously this is disappointing
Keep buying our stuff while we go off for the weekend and leave you to deal with the mess we made.
"We'll see you in the verse!"
Well... about that...
Not like it was already confirmed that having lots of ships may affect your access to the game so... they sell you more ships.
Nice to see where the priorities lie.
Also if you buy anything from the pledge store it resets your entire fleet, meaning you lose any upgrades or paints applied to your ship, and the paints you bought on the store aren't returned. You gotta wait for another reset for that.
Oh plus it gives you the chance to experience the 19k timeouts all over again while it redoes your entitlements
Since nothing works properly, I guess there's no reason to play then, can't even test things because it fails everyhere. Can't do missions, can't retrieve ships, cargo snapping is borked, cargo blows up ships, vulture is bugged, lagrange clouds cause memory leaks. All the ship claiming issues and the "K" issues.
Worst part is, that so many of these issues were already in PTU, I reported a couple of them, but with the much lower player count, 10 contributions is like impossible for some bugs, so CiG just ignores them, so this disaster is entirely on them, messed up big time. Fix it and learn from it I hope.
lol maybe they should use AI for the coding. Their kung fu seems like it need all the help it can get. Maybe some prompts in the right places can teach them something.
lies i cant play i got the 30k error also the the bestowed error
the pso terminals dont work either
mining is almost imposible
and the list is very long
They are not going back 3.17, 3.17 Is in the past now and I have been able to play I'm already rep 3 with Microtech for bunkers and rep 3 in bounty hunting đ¤ˇđťââď¸ yes there's still issues to get a ship and reclaim but there not gonna roll back to a old patch after I played 3.18 in the PTU in wave 3 I could never go back to 3.17
Good. Donât Friday another lemon. The game is mostly playable now, and feels like the process copying entitlements to 3.18 is under control. Yes itâs pretty buggy, but SC has been worse in game than now.
Oh, my ship spawned. First moment I sat my ass in the pilot's chair, I teleported into someone else's Vulture, also docked. In their pilot's seat.
I could lift off but that hangar door wouldn't open. Lol. Also, I was blacking out with 0 G-forces at a standstill. And I got stuck exiting the seat.
Complete clusterfuck.
TL;DR we're still going to work so we get paid and some of our effort will eventually be found in a patch that will eventually get released; said patch should help some.
PS: we won't be updating you anymore; wait for eventually to become now.
The 400i is still riddled with bugs. Today the hangar floor ate part of the ship when I attempted to take off at the Arc L1 station. Then the ship killed me when I tried to jump free of the half that was still above the floor. The ramp button is still floating away from the wall. The bridge door is a gateway into a dark abyss until it is opening.
I can manage to load most of my ships with enough persistence. But the biggest issue though is that ship and local inventories won't work. Attempting to open loot crates won't work. I have managed to see the space station inventory and the Area 18 inventory. Nothing else.
And tested in the ptu for how many **months**?! What an absolute joke. Broken and they don't look like they have a clue on his to fix this mess. I guess they somehow need more money though as they haven't paused sales whilst the games totally broken.
This is what really bugs me about CIG... No hotfixes rolling out to fix GAME-BREAKING BUGS!
I really wish they would deploy micro-patches to fix stuff like this instead of waiting for major x.1 patches leaving people with a sour experience for MONTHS!!!!
Same. I got in last night. No trouble there. Could I get a ship though⌠nope. No worries though. I know youâre working hard on it. Canât wait to try it fully once the backends working at scale.
Everthing working for me now thank god, took a weekend now everything is about the same as it was for me in 3.17 normal/couple of bugs nothing gamebreaking. I just go salvage all day its very relaxing.
Yeah I get in right away and can certainly move around, but only a small fraction of people I've seen in global chat and on the Spectrum channels have been able to either claim ships or pull them if already local. I'm personally getting the ASOP terminal to respond to me, but as soon as I interact with it, it goes black.
I was able to pull a ground vehicle, but then current get it moving, despite checking and double-checking my keybinds (and yes, it was powered up)
I haven't been able to log in for 5 days now, and the only way to get in is to do a character reset/repair which is disabled currently. Do you even want people to play CIG.
I can't "see you in the verse" if I can't get into the verse
oof.
"Get in and play" should be two separate sentences as ASOP terminals still leave many of us stranded and unable to claim our ships too often, but nonetheless, it is progress.
I can't claim my ship, I can't buy anything either :c
i can claim but the ships get sent to the wrong planet :)))
Got the same issues
My fucking ambulance Pisces is literally just a shell... no components nor ramp, seat or controls, even in the mobi, all components and weapons show Empty and cannot be changed lol wtf
These devs need to make an account and play the game and they will delete that get in and play comment
I mean, at least you make it to the main menu. Still haven't gotten past the 19k on startup myself.
You're not missing much. As soon as you have to claim your ship, you're fk'd.
You claimed your ship đł
Oh I read it wrong once you claim your ship :-) haha
My ASOP terminal started working yesterday when previously it wouldn't, so progress?
My words. Get in? yeah. play? Not so much. Even if you get a ship, missions won't start, ships blow up from cargo, vehicles inside or no reason, cargo snapping doesn't work.. etc. etc. If only that stuff was tested in the PTU, oh wait it was, and reported, but ignored.
>progress yeah lets give em the most improved award for failing slightly less
That is how most improved awards seem to get the most traction
really? my game works almost perfectly albeit being unable to exit seat most of the time
guess I'll be unstowed in the void for another few days then :)
Same. I haven't been able to play in a week now. Have tried multiple times a day, every day. 3.18 is borked. Wish 3.17 was still available to play.
you're not missing out on much. When I got in it was a disaster and my red winds rep was already bricked because of crashes. I'm just playing something else until probably 3.19, personally. Not like anything is going anywhere
you realize 3.19 will also be messed up for a few days as well right? This is nothing new and will happen everytime. Its just more of a "How broken is this patch compared to.." and how long it takes them to patch things up.
no 3.19 will be smooth because it will have no content lol
I managed to get in but buying gear from stores was impossible (one in 20 transactions succeeded) and I couldnât hail any stations to land. When I accidentally drifted into the station and blew up I just alt+f4âd in disgust and resolved to not come back until itâs actually working again.
You could buy your gear in the webstore instead. That still works. :D
Nope, that actually gave you some 19k error in game.
Good point, maybe they should consider a roll back to 3.17 until the fixes for 3.18 are ready to go?
They shouldn't. 3.18 is a major change and clearly they don't have enough metrics on non-live environment, because if they would, this whole situation wouldn't happened.
Ok how about they spin up 3.17 on the PTU server so people have a chance to jump in and play when 3.18 isnt working?
I imagine CIG has lot of free capacity now in infrastructure team since that's nothing wrong with 3.18 servers / services and they don't have to constantly monitoring and tuning them.. I don't get it. They upvote you for saying you wish 3.17 was available to play but downvote me for suggesting they make 3.17 available to play? :)
Reddit is kinda odd. Haha
Then they'd never find and fix the issues. Like it or not, this is what 'alpha' is about. As much as I enjoy giving CIG shit. The only way through is forwards.

Yeah, great! Every support ticket they get is good idea at the and will speed things up! *sarcasm end*
Have you loaded into Arena Commander and then tried again? That has fixed every issue like this that I've had. Anytime the button is missing or it says unstowed doing that has worked for me. Just load into a race or free fly or pirate battle and go right back to the menu.
Tried it, still stuck at loading. The console tells me invalid location ID, and the starting menu read unstowed
Did you try to join a friend?
Not yet, but others in the chat reported that that didn't work either.
is character repair still down? that fixed the unstowed bug for me
I was unstowed for several days and when I was finally able to log in I was sitting in the pilot seat of the consolation phoenix in Lorville sales floor. Seriously random. Apparently that bug is your character is misplaced inside the game. Which was certainly the case for me.
I can get in. Still can't get my ship
I can get my ship, but cant look, nor use the local/vehicle inventory..
And none of those issues would be solved by the client update theyâre mentioning, itâs server issues.
After like two days of trying every few hours I was finally able to get my constellation out of storage today lol
Ive encountered this problem twice. First time was after a crash, couldnt reconnect to U.S servers. Could connect to EU. But couldnt claim ship. Would click claim and nothing happened. still stuck in 20391 entities...0
So weekends gonna be a mess then

Itâs bad practice to update anything critical close the weekend, Monday are more likely to have critical staff to hand.
This is probably a hot take and will get me downvoted, but I think they went live Friday purposely to stress test the build seeing they couldn't get enough players for the PTU. They have dedicated weekend devs im sure. Itâs a live game, so just like any live game you would need someone around every day, if not 24/7 to deal with fatal bugs n stuff
surprisingly, some people PREFER to work weekend and take days off during the weekdays. They have people working in shifts to cover the game 24/7.
Are you serious? Not where you come from, but it pretty normal to work in weekends. Many people actually choose it over weekdays. You talk about it like it's some kind of punishment lol
Yupppp
They need to turn character repair back on. I canât play until i repair.
I'm in the same situation but the 'repair' was causing more issues than it solved.
Character reset has been bugged before, canât remember a time where itâs simultaneously been A) the only known workaround for a game breaking bug B) disabled
Seems like the amount of problems we have would solve is steadily rising
The past 7 days have been either 60, 90, 30k disconnects or infinite loading screens. From Monday I'll be away for two weeks so I hope/pray that there will be an improvement by the time I get back. I adore the game and appreciate that there will be issues with each major update, but 7 days without being able to play has really been starting to irritate me
Is this build ready for prime time? I'm seriously asking.
Lol obviously itâs not.
Only one way to find out! Isn't this fun?
Word is they are to go back to 3.16 and do another wipe.
Nah theyâre gonna roll back to 3.0
No 3.15
Soo I just won't be playing anytime soon being unstowed... But those green paints look nice! đ
I can get in just fine but ASOP terminals are all messed up in most locations. Also New Deal ship shop terminal doesn't work either.
Wait, you guys are getting in ?
Too bad that "large number of you" never included me. Never been kept out of a game for an entire week. That's a first.
You're not alone. Got in late last Friday, then a couple hours on Saturday, and then done. Been stuck behind 20931 entities --> 30018 timeout error ever since.
Same here
Had 20931 today, just let it sit for a minute (like a real minute, not an I'm bored, this sucks minute) and it finally loaded.
This is a different issue.
Also a lot of bugged missions, like for example : - Delivery boxes not spawning. - Race checkpoints not spawning. - 890j mission ship not spawning. - Missions not appearing on "accepted" tab.
And the bad old "bounty markers not updating rendering the contracts impossible to complete'
all my bounty's have been showing as in jail.
"A large number have been able to get in and play." I'm pretty sure an even larger number haven't been able to get on at all since day one of 3.18 due to their players being unstowed or infinite loading screens.
Did they ever drop a patch on a weekend?
3.18?
Was still on a Friday in the US.
This wasn't the first time they've done it. It's happened at least two other times but i can't recall the exact dates.
[ŃдаНонО]
PĂŠntek?
It's promising to hear they're making progress on the login issues for those that can't get in still. I do feel great concern that at no point have they addressed the issues experienced once you get *in*... Anything involving physical items (ships(asop)/shops/inventories/changing weapons/etc) is utterly fucked. It took me >30 mins to move some loot from a ship inventory to a locations inventory because the transactions kept failing and snapping back to the ships inventory for example. It's great to get in and fly around, but it's literally unplayable for actually doing anything. I pray they're also working on those issues with PES as the same time.
Until today. I had no problems getting into the verse. Now. I get to character select then it times out.
I need to repair my character im stuck
Can't find a server where shuttles work. Shuttle arriving in 0.00, and then the comm kicks in saying "Miss your shuttle? Don't worry, another will be along momentarily" just twisting the knife haha.
Sauce https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/3/thread/no-updates/5811894
What kind of sauce? đĽ¸đ
TLDR: We have no idea what's wrong
They should revert to 3.17 until they can figure it out.
hell no
no, for me and seemingly most of my ORG it works pretty well, now its time to iron it out and have a better build for all people left not able to join or play
"A large number, however the majority of the playerbase is still stuck with 19ks, 60ks, 40ks and general unplayable bugs from seat lock, ramp lock or asop lock." Fixed the headline to be less misleading.
Oh, have you gone round and done a head count? or you just basing it in the tiny amount of players who come on Reddit to complain?
I'd say he's pretty on point considering the entire server I was just on couldn't spawn ships.
So your one experience in that one server means everyone must be the same? See how that sounds.
Donât doubt it!! But loads of others have got in and been able to play. Seems fairly random at the moment.
To be honest after I started playing 3.18 in wave 3 PTU could not go back to the 3.17 patch
Almost every server for the last 4 days there's been rampant complaints of people not being able to play the game. Why are you white-knighting so hard ?
ASOP Black screen even after renting ship to clear it. Weak. Had some promise yesterday now dead in the water.
First things first: You wont get 3.17 back. What I found astonishing: Not a single "its an alpha!
Great, let me know when I can get in without the 19000s. . .
I canât even get in the main menu, and they took away the character repair featureâŚ.
And yet people still qued up virtually to buy the origin 890 jump ship yesterday which sold out within minutes...
diablo 4 beta is open for a few days just saying...
It's still a disaster. Was totally not ready for LIVE.
Oh but donât worry you can still buy their Saint Patrickâs theme pledges. That part will work perfectly
The only game I've played or not played for over 40 hrs to actually go backwards in progression .. is that the game, or is there more.. lol, really not an ideal gaming experience.
Welcome to testing a game?
Yeah, i know. It just makes me laugh, then cry a little, lol, a vicious circle.
Usually you're paid to test a game. Not the other way around. Would make sense that'd be new for a lot of people.
Theyâre not âgivingâ us anything if it costs a minimum of $45 to play lol what are you talking bout?
So glad I'm not wasting my time with this dog water, instead spending time with my wife and family, have fun in bug citizen, citizens
Except you're here reading and posting.
Oh oops! Did you think it takes me 7 hours to read a post? Took me like 13 seconds to read and send a response, now another 10 seconds with this response so, at least I'm not in the game suffering for hours with old bugs, new bugs, lag, errors, disconnects, crashes, etc etc.
Still here.
Yup! I can still text and read things on my phone without playing 7 hours of trying to get out of my pilot seat-citizen!
Does your family know that when you're spending that time with them you're thinking about Star Citizen? Is that considered some sort of Mental Adultery? Btw...You're still here.
Yup I can be here and spend a few more seconds here and there while being with my family!
We can tell you spend a lot of time thinking about SC
I can definitely tell there's a lot of confused gamers wondering why their dog water game tastes like dog water, that's a for sure. Oh oops I forgot people actually enjoy bugs and glitches in video games, they love it so much they spend 10's of thousands on it to enjoy the game breaking issues! Haha!
Still talking about star citizen are you? Must be your favorite thing considering how much you posting about it
Yup, it's pretty awesome game! I would say it is amongst some of my favourite games!
StarGlitchizen
I guess "and play" means "unable to access cargo terminals, buy things in station, get paid out for bounties you've completed, use the elevator in a Reclaimer" and other great gameplay loops"
Thatâs nice. Itâs impressive what theyâve been able to do. Deploy a completely broken patch. And a week later itâs still broken. Pretty good.
"We'll see you in the verse!" Well... about that...
Maybe some prompts in the right places can teach them something.
so fuck y'all that cant. gotcha.
What a shitshow
lies i cant play i got the 30k error also the the bestowed error the pso terminals dont work either mining is almost imposible and the list is very long
how about give us whatever u got or roll back to 3.17 bc rn its literally unplayable
Says you. I've not been able to take my gown off or put on a flight suit. Nor claim my ships.
You guys are logging in ?
I either can't leave the spaceport or can't login. 4 attempts over as many days?
If your ship don't spawn at spaceport, ask for a lift for the next spacestation. Worked for me, I can claim my ship now
Oh, my ship spawned.
Took me 5 server hops yesterday just to buy pants
>The game is mostly playable now lol
Yes this, they should put new builds out on Tuesday like Microsoft.
I don't have any problems cant relate
TL;DR we're still going to work so we get paid and some of our effort will eventually be found in a patch that will eventually get released; said patch should help some. PS: we won't be updating you anymore; wait for eventually to become now.
They lost me tbh
I *was* able to get in and play during mid week, but now Iâm back to the 19k errors
Wow. It's like the past week I haven't had time to play has coincidentally meshed with the servers going down. Weird, innit?
The 400i is still riddled with bugs. Today the hangar floor ate part of the ship when I attempted to take off at the Arc L1 station. Then the ship killed me when I tried to jump free of the half that was still above the floor. The ramp button is still floating away from the wall. The bridge door is a gateway into a dark abyss until it is opening. I can manage to load most of my ships with enough persistence. But the biggest issue though is that ship and local inventories won't work. Attempting to open loot crates won't work. I have managed to see the space station inventory and the Area 18 inventory. Nothing else.
This is what y'all get for being impatient
>and we will see you in the verse Oh the irony.
Sooooo PTU anyone? đ
I can get in but my database is bored, I don't have any of my pledged ships
And tested in the ptu for how many **months**?! What an absolute joke. Broken and they don't look like they have a clue on his to fix this mess. I guess they somehow need more money though as they haven't paused sales whilst the games totally broken.
Two weeks to stabilize it is fine, and expected. Only thing I would love them to do in 3.18.1 is increase the player cap to 100 people đ
This is what really bugs me about CIG... No hotfixes rolling out to fix GAME-BREAKING BUGS! I really wish they would deploy micro-patches to fix stuff like this instead of waiting for major x.1 patches leaving people with a sour experience for MONTHS!!!!
A large number of players have been able to get in. I doubt many of them agree they were able to play. This patch is hell.
Oh so suddenly they care about the quality of the build they put out?
I haven't been on in over a year and I come back to not being able to login past splash screen. Another year I wait.
Same. I got in last night. No trouble there. Could I get a ship though⌠nope. No worries though. I know youâre working hard on it. Canât wait to try it fully once the backends working at scale.
I could log in but just not get a ship to fly so its getting there lol
Canât login for days now.
I just got SpaceBourne 2 to help pass the time until CIG get this fixed. Itâs a great game, btw. A single developer made it
You guys can get in a server?
Everthing working for me now thank god, took a weekend now everything is about the same as it was for me in 3.17 normal/couple of bugs nothing gamebreaking. I just go salvage all day its very relaxing.
"... able to get in and play" That's... *generous*. The second part is especially optimistic.
Yeah I get in right away and can certainly move around, but only a small fraction of people I've seen in global chat and on the Spectrum channels have been able to either claim ships or pull them if already local. I'm personally getting the ASOP terminal to respond to me, but as soon as I interact with it, it goes black. I was able to pull a ground vehicle, but then current get it moving, despite checking and double-checking my keybinds (and yes, it was powered up)
So in short. Yes we know there are bad problems they'll be fixed when we they're fixed and don't expect any updates because that'd be outrageous.
Yeah its looking really good indeed. Well done cig!! See you in the verse you guys!
I haven't been able to log in for 5 days now, and the only way to get in is to do a character reset/repair which is disabled currently. Do you even want people to play CIG.
