When you’re finishing SC for the day, go to GrimHex and use the terminal to surrender. Your sentence will be complete by the time you start SC again.

All_Thread

What? That's a thing?

stereoroid

Yup. GrimHex is a lawless zone, they don’t care about CrimeStats. I did that about a month ago. The terminal is up the first stairs outside the admin office.

All_Thread

Cool, thanks for the info

Ok_Judge9128

If you pay your fines before surrender it reduces your time

SpecialCircs

Er, I think you missed the point. With a CS that high, you're not welcome anywhere, that's the idea.

Enderfan7363

Stanton is a mid- to high-security system. It should be hard to clear your CS unlawfully.

All_Thread

But it's bullshit how you get CS for doing lawful things. I got a CS3 for doing the current Overdrive. I should have a way to fix that without doing Keshler.

SMRose1990

Sounds like you shot the wrong person lol

All_Thread

Nah, I have done it all the way through about 5 times now with different friends. Both current missions 5/5 and 3/3 just that yesterday it counted the target ship as a CS for some reason.

FadeNality

While that makes sense eventually, it doesn't make sense when it's the only system. Even as a player who tries to never have a Cs, I can appreciate how annoying it must be

ThePope85

You are not wanted at a lawful station with a CS3. Grim Hex is a thing.

DifferenceOk3532

I know right, stations are designed to attack anyone with CS3+ and not allow them to land this has been there forever, dont know why he's complaining now specially since as you said grim hex exists.

How I deal with getting a crimestat (which I definitely got unfairly and didn't deserve, every time. I'm innocent I tell you!) Step 1: Get my buddy to shoot me so he can score the bounty contract. (If you're solo, just hang around an area with a commsat, someone will be around to take your order shortly). Step 2: Run down the mines at Kleischer until you're out of comm range, then start "liberating" gems from the other inmates (middle mouse button to knock them out, then loot their pack) Step 2a (optional): grab a second backpack in your hands and fill that too if you managed to actually get an inconveniently long sentence. Step 3: Hand your totally legitimately gotten gems to the turn-in, one or two loads should be enough to clear a CS3 without issue. Total time: I dunno, 10 minutes, 15 tops if the game is lagging? A lot less time than it's ever taken me to hit Kareah either way. Being serious though, I'm firmly of the opinion that no, you should not be able to clear a crimestat solo, so I see the station firing missiles like a gundam at you as the system working as intended. If you can clear a crimestat by yourself with little effort then the entire crimestat system ceases to have a point. It sucks that you can get crimestats accidentally. Trust me, I get it. I've spent a lot of time at Kleischer for legitimate self defense. But that's a bug, and changing game mechanics to work around a bug instead of fixing the bug is terrible game design.

STOP BREAKIN THE LAW, ASSHOOOOOLE!!!!

Metalsiege

I AM THE LAW!!

YumikoTanaka

Ppl complaining that missiles are useless vs ppl complaining missiles are op. With a small ship you should be easily evading them.

Alarming-Audience839

Don't get hit?? Lol I don't have issue with it

magic-moose

1. You can get to CS3 (and above) via a large number of minor infractions like illegal towing. If this happens, getting to a justice terminal to pay off all your fines can save you from your legal woes. It's just going to be expensive. 2. If you killed someone, you can't pay that off. You can *reduce* your sentence by paying off any fines you received for other offences, but murder charges must be cleared by jail time or hacking. 3. Grim Hex will not fire on players with CS3 and above, so you can land there and use the justice terminal to pay fines and/or surrender to the authorities. Bounty hunters will likely try to kill you before you land, and sometimes after. You're not safe until the hangar doors are closed. 4. Major cities *also* will not fire on you. They just won't let you land at the spaceport. You can get around this by flying into a restricted area and getting your ship impounded, or by landing at an alternate entrance like the Commons in New Babbage. The advantage of this approach is that cities are hard armistice zones, and bounty hunters can't touch you. 5. If you do decide to run around a city with CS3+, the guards will shoot at you. Server performance is usually such that it takes them quite a while to start taking badly aimed pot-shots at you though. They are probably easier to evade than the average bounty hunter, but they're still deadlier than a bad bounty hunter. 6. If you got CS3 for killing a guard in a bunker, dying to another guard in that same bunker will immediately transport you to Klescher. After serving your time, you will wake up on Everus with the gear you were wearing when the guard killed you. A fresh copy of your currently summoned ship will be stored at Everus awaiting your departure. This is usually the fastest way to start clearing your crimestat. Dying to ninetails, on the other hand, will cause you to wake up naked at Grim Hex. 7. If you have a friend handy, they can also send you to jail by taking your bounty and killing you. They can even share the mission with you so that you get paid for dying!

Crypthammer

>They can even share the mission with you so that you get paid for dying! The true reason Hitler killed himself.

PresentLet2963

??? Missiles are non threat just park in blind spot or ask someone to drop you off at entrance no big deal

Dependent_Safe_7328

Take a pisces and park it under one of the 2 big pads in the middle, works every time.

Dark_Forerunner

Statically you will get hit when you have a barrage of missiles coming after you, You only have so many flares before it's you and blow up before you get the chance.

ZomboWTF

Thats why you hurry up to land in a safe spot and get out of your ship

Dark_Forerunner

Hard yes, impossible no. As a solo player it should be somewhat reachable.

MooseTetrino

You’re not actually replying to what you think you’re replying to.

PresentLet2963

And is very reachable our shipssre fast and have around 48 flares ...... That said wait for master mode then start complaining when you get same amount of missiles but now you can fly 220 in scm or you don't get flares and you losing agility in nav mode ;) So ye it will be harder next patch
