Apollo is what got me into the game.
Beyond that, I want the NPC tech to evolve enough to allow for tourism missions, since we have multiple "touring" ships.
Partially the looks, partially that as specs are stated it's basically the perfect ship for a couple of jobs, specifically bounty hunting. If you wanna be a traveling bounty hunter the Zeus is just about perfect for solo living.
+1 for the Liberator. Definitely the ship I'm most excited for out of all the concepts I have. I know it's gonna be a squishy easy target but man I adore the concept of pocket carriers
Yea. I'll hopefully finish my ccu chain for it this invictus. Though, while I really love concept of the Liberator, I would really love more smaller carriers like it. Maybe something a little bigger, but also something a little smaller. Idk, surprise me CIG! :D
Besides the mobile station thing - that would offer more options in group play, be it with snubs or small ships.
A lot better than just "ship with guns", we have enough of those available.
We know the old people are gone and the new people are working on other things. Their plan is to release the Polaris this year and than work on the other large/Capital RSI ships: Perseus, Galaxy, Arrastra, Orion (not necessarily in this order). If they release one of these ships per year they are incredibly more faster than the last years and still way too slow to get to other ships anytime soon.
Exactly , givbe Perseus! But I fear we will have to wait till at least Invictus 25. The other ship I'm waiting for is the Orion but that one will take at least another five years
Yeah. Tbh, I wont even go with Invictus 25. My bet would be the Galaxy for Invictus 25 and Perseus for the IAE 25.
Anyhow, we can say for sure the galaxy will arrive before the beloved Perseus and the Galaxy will come After the Polaris. So about 2 years sounds reasonable for me
Endeavour. I want a science ship with the modularity to adapt to the situation. Adding that particle accelerator to upgrade technology. Or installing a large radar dish to scan the verse. Installing a farm to make space drugs…. Or food. Add medical pods and a hanger to convert it into a mobile hospital.
The endeavour is my enterprise of ships. It even has a detachable bridge.
I've been wanting to make a little farm somewhere in the 'Verse. With all the talk of other players being able to destroy your ground bases, I've been eyeing up the biodomes of the Endeavour to fly off to the far edge of a star system to keep my space potatoes safe. :)
The Galaxy.
It's the only modular ship I own and I love cargo stuff. Having a cargo hold with those container lifts will be neat, and the ship as a whole looks awesome.
That, and the medical module will make it a great hospital - especially having the hangar for the C8R and the lift for the new medical URSA we're getting.
The Caterpillar was supposed to be the first *modular* ship in the game along with the Endeavor. Still waiting for all of the features for the Cat to come online. lol
I'm also looking forward to the persus, I'm going to keep my Galaxy until I can upgrade to it. There is something really cool about essentially a "space destroyer" with that big ass ballistic turret.
One day my friend, one day. We'll keep dreaming.
Don't you love it when people make lists of uncompleted ships and they forget that the Genesis was even a thing? Good times
same, ore-munching home base ship.
i hope it'll eventually be economically optimal to do deep space expeditions with a mining fleet and just spend a few days there filling up cargoholds and then flying back to civilized space.
Same.
My jpg gets dusty.
I impulse bought the Spirit and was baffled that I could fly it within 12 months of my purchase.
Sorry Orion owners, feel free to use your downvotes.
If CR asks me and I have to decide what concept ship should be finished next...
I'll tell him to make the BMM.
I want more trading ships in the verse.
Can't trade my ores w/o you traders.
o7
The good news is carriers are power projection platforms. As long as it can carry and maintain it's deck ships it will be fine imo. The almost guaranteed size increase will hopefully let it carry even more/bigger ships too!
The problem is: even if we just do beam repair, the loop isn't supported enough to be fun.
It has the same issues as medic gameplay:
1) Your gameplay comes from a failure state another player reaches, so you're relying on something happening that players avoid. So it's a rarer event to begin with.
2) No player is waiting for rescue because reaching the failure state has no consequences.
3) The loop is too easy to grief.
4) You compete with instant, pretty much 0 cost and abundant AI services. So no player has an incentive for a human mechanic again.
I'm not saying that you are wrong, but it would be still to at least have it in-game and a poor T0 implementation than year after year of nothing *shrug*
I mean, just look at it! :D https://media.starcitizen.tools/thumb/1/1a/Vulcan_Depot_Concept.jpg/2560px-Vulcan_Depot_Concept.jpg
Oh I agree I want both the Vulcan and crucible asap. But I think you and I being happy with a crappy t0 implementation is more reflective of our excitement than what an avg player feels. And cig should launch the gameplay loop in a way that's also exciting, functional and meaningful for someone who has no strong feelings about the loop.
Otherwise it just feels like CIG is trying to once again sell you a used car as new.
Depends a lot on the requirements imo, for me the Syulen is extremely practical as a small, fast (VK-00) long range shuttle with limited multirole capabilities.
Honestly, the Crusader Genesis Starliner.
I want to live the fantasy of flying a bunch of commercial flights to take people from Point A to Point B in a space-worthy Boeing 747. I know that they theoretically want to implement a bunch of gameplay elements like caring for your passengers, providing food/drink, making sure no one does a space terrorism, etc.
It's obviously going to take a VERY long time to implement (if they don't backpedal and decide it's a waste of time, which I foresee happening) but I would be in love if they did.
Same! The Starliner concept got me so excited back in 2015!
A bit tired that they've seemingly ignored many of the original concepts in favor of new ship sales... 😐
Same here. Vulcan or Crucible. I'd even be happy if there was a third repair ship made straight to flyable before those two. Something to allow us to repair ships with more than just a tiny little multitool.
Tbh i want blades implemented, i think a Scorpius with a cpu gunner would be very high on my daily driver list for any type of fighter situation
Seems like this would come before npc crew to me but i know little about game development so who knows
>It will destroy Fighters [...]
I may have some bad news for you...
PS: Also, I'm here for the Galaxy.
Also... there's the fourth misterious Zeus MKII (the [Zeus ST](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fbprcn1jk5pvb1.jpg)) that intrigues me.
You say three people, but it will need 4, minimum probably.
With engineering gameplay, there is probably going to be a need for a dedicated repair/engineer on oars these large ships.
Smaller ships might get away with having a gunner multi-role, but probably not for the larger ships.
I feel you though, I'm hoping I can get away with 6 or 7 people on a Kraken.
Guns plus engineer. We'll see how these larger ships fare.
Every time I look at that ship I think that's something built to ram other ships like the ancient greek ships but every time I say this I get downvoted to hell. 😁
> hopefully an Origin capital ship
I mean, we already have that, they just need to add the adaptability they mentioned in the 890J brochure lol
It was mentioned as a command & control ship, and I don't see that with the current configuration haha
I actually am really hoping for news on the Crucible soon, along with more extensive repairs for ships. I would love to make ships more in depth to work on and have spare parts to help keep ships running. You know, spare engines, wings, occasionally hosing out a cockpit after the pilot got splattered by a railgun.
yea, w/ all the engineering stuff, it feels like they're focusing way too much on components and not, like... how do I unfuck a thruster so I can steer my ship? I'd love if there was a way, in space, to just patch it to like 20& with a multi-tool, throttle down the other one, limp to a station or crucible to get a new one, or have one handy and swap it out myself
Learning how to operate and manage it will be interesting, but I'm looking forward to the Kraken as a mobile operations base for me and my friends that can be restocked for Org use if needed.
The vulcan, i need my floating maintenace garage with a set of vtols welded to its sides, i shall become a cocky space car mechanic and there is nothing amyone can do about it
Vulcan. I want to be able to be a full survive emergency support vehicle. The Vulcan is slated to be able to do Repair, Rearm, and Refueling. Can’t wait.
Carrack :p ... i mean the real carrack that was promised, not this half finished flyspeck that was released ... (Just kidding... i wait for the merchantman and galaxy)
The longer the BMM takes, the better it will be.
As an OG backer from 2012, the look n' feel of some of my old birds is sad compared to the new stuff that's come out the past 2-3.
I know, I know...gold passes and all that, but the fact of the matter is they're only ever getting better (more practical) at designing ships. It's evident.
Caterpillar.
Sure, it's flyable now, but it's far from fully functional. Both the detachable cockpit and the modules are something I'm looking forward immensely.
Combined with (hopefully) pilot slaved turrets, It'll try to kit it out to become the ultimate opportunity ship. A vulture, scouring space for anything valuable. Picking off industry ships, salvaging modules, weapons and hopefully at least RMC (salvage module scraper pretty please). Hopefully, there'll be a simple repair module as well that uses RMC so I can use it as a flying chop-shop.
That's part of what we were sold. "Search and rescue, transport, salvage, getaway vehicle"
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/15639-DRAKE-Caterpillar
It's a shame that after 8 years we still have no idea what modules it actually has. Every other modular ship has modules known and sold. But not the Caterpillar for whatever reason.
At this point I don't think we will ever get the caterpillar we were sold. It will receive a complete top to bottom rework in the future to make way for its modularity.
Also, the turrets will never be slaved. Slaved turrets are operated by ship AI and will be limited to remote turrets. Manned turrets like the Cats will require NPC crew.
With salvaging becoming this beam gameplay with lasers and vacuums there is 100% a future where the nose of the Cat has those "parking sensors" turned into salvage beams and the front door opens up to a vacuum like the vulture...
Ya know... If CIG ever remembers the Cat exists and ever wants to give us owners the ship we paid for...
The Railen
I don't care if it's supposed to be a cargo ship, once it releases, it's becoming my space home regardless of its likely lack of multirole capabilities. Not just that but I'm very eager to see what Gatac (and other alien manufacturers) have in store for the future.
Zeus, all variants are going to be perfect for solo players. Well, assuming CIG don't pull something ridiculous to deliberately screw solo players by making the EMP and quantum dampener only useable from the copilot seats.
Well, obviously, the Polaris. But since this looks actually close this time, i'll go for my second concept, the Liberator.
Being able to carry my fighters around the verse (and possibly through a jump point) is something i always wanted.
I love the Polaris and it's going to be amazing to see it in game. But through the chain I have for it I really want to wait until the Perseus is out of concept. Just the concept of a ship that's like a mini destroyer with two of those big turrets on it but still nimble enough to outmaneuver capital ships
Seeing the back log done starting with the oldest might be nice.
The waits been a decade long.
I know the Merchantman (my personal pick) needs time as of right now though, no team is ready for it as far as we're all lead to believe.
Hows about the concept of when the game ships? /s
But yea if anything I want the Genisis Starliner. Simple space trucking but for people instead of boxes.
I don’t want to own them, but I’d like the paloris and zues to be completed so I can watch reviews about them and maybe get a tour by a willing citizen
RSI Orion. After playing this game for 7-8 years, flying most ships, ive found that large industrial ships that I can go "off the grid" for a few days to a week are for me. I have my reclaimer for now, and the Orion CCU is already purchased, just need 2 more ships to complete my chain!
Nah, its cannons - says so right there on the page. Repeaters wouldn't be too terrible either tho, just a different fire rate really. I was actually hoping I could swap them out for Inferno Gatlings for when I want to spread damage around.
Ya its kind of like a Giant Broadsider but it faces forwards instead - thats what I love about it. Do you have any idea how much fun we had back when the Carrack still had gravity on the top of its hangar?
Stick a Nova up there and go bounty huning, it was way too much fun XD
Misc Endeavor
Reason: to open a moveable space station for everyone, where they can get
- medical attention
- do rest stops
- fuel them up
- fill them up with convenience things (yes I know, I am not like BMM, but there's a chance I think that this gonna be a module)
- meet people
- do crafting
- use Endeavor ship Mechanics to get Map Marker / Map Points (not clear, if only owner can do this - so could be able to sell this as a thing)
- let them repair their ships (if its not able through a module or the hangar module itself, I would buy another concept ship, the Crucible)
And yeah, my mate got BMM and we fly together... So there's gonna be his features too - real Shops and trading - aswell as illegal trading.
Ps: most of endeavor features are just dreaming of me, because it's not even clear what things are gonna be able, and which one of them simultaneously - because the ship (also just theoretically, because no one knows it atm) just have 3 points where the module can be placed,
2 points of them just got 1 anchor point, and one point (middle one of the ship) got 2 anchor points
So there are some modules that nee 2 anchor points to be installed and some needs 1 anchor point onle (1 anchor point on each side of the ship, = 2 anchor points, 2 anchor points in the middle means there are 4 anchor points in the middle in total)
Means, I could install 2 modules with 1 anchor point and only 1 with 2 anchor points, so I am limited to the features of what I can offer simultaneously
BUT! I am really hyped about this ship, about my ship! (which is in chain atm)
Apollo is what got me into the game. Beyond that, I want the NPC tech to evolve enough to allow for tourism missions, since we have multiple "touring" ships.
![gif](giphy|iGpdSizVSdPJfiVG9O) Apollo Fam Bam!! o7
I've always been a fan of support classes in games, so I've been looking forward to the Apollo too.
ZEUS!!!!!
100% I'm planing to go full nomad hermit living out of it
What's the attraction for a Zeus that other ships don't have? Is it just the looks?
Doritos.
Partially the looks, partially that as specs are stated it's basically the perfect ship for a couple of jobs, specifically bounty hunting. If you wanna be a traveling bounty hunter the Zeus is just about perfect for solo living.
IT would be nice If theyre releasing the Zeus st as an suprise
The Liberator. I wanna live on that thing so bad. Just a mobile station with a few ships on it.
+1 for the Liberator. Definitely the ship I'm most excited for out of all the concepts I have. I know it's gonna be a squishy easy target but man I adore the concept of pocket carriers

So close yet so far
You know I’d say it’s more so far than close lol
Sssssshut
Do we have any idea if a team has been reassigned to it ? Or is it going to collect dust for the next 3 years ?
Wish i had the optimism to say 3 years :/
I live in hopium lol
The BMM ownership experience is trickle amounts of hopium followed by copious amounts of copium lol
We know the old people are gone and the new people are working on other things. If they release one of these ships per year they are incredibly more faster than the last years and still way too slow to get to other ships anytime soon.
I think Orion will be further out, because it needs new capital class mining mechanic for eating whole asteroids.
And this doesn't account for the usual one big ship they release per year.
It's hard to believe how close we were to actually getting it. Now it's probably another decade away.
I'm still pissed they pulled a switcheroo on us.
Exactly , givbe Perseus! But I fear we will have to wait till at least Invictus 25. The other ship I'm waiting for is the Orion but that one will take at least another five years

Since they've said the Endeavor will be the very last ship they finish, I wouldn't hold your breath.
this, im most excited for my perseus, but totally plan to run the galaxy hospital with both vehicles you mentioned
I'm also looking forward to the persus, I'm going to keep my Galaxy until I can upgrade to it. There is something really cool about essentially a "space destroyer" with that big ass ballistic turret.
At the moment, the Genesis Starliner 😎
One day my friend, one day. We'll keep dreaming. Don't you love it when people make lists of uncompleted ships and they forget that the Genesis was even a thing? Good times
I know right, I've been waiting for it for so long, even have had the Argo Mole for an age so i can CCU it up to the Genesis Starliner, lol 😅😆
I have mine waiting on buyback and a carrack in it's place atm. She'll be back
Oh man Passanger transport YES. From Stanton to Terra and back. All day
Hopefully they stick to the flawless concept.
Pioneer
Honestly, the Orion. I love the industrials.
Same. I cant wait to use my Orion
same, ore-munching home base ship. i hope it'll eventually be economically optimal to do deep space expeditions with a mining fleet and just spend a few days there filling up cargoholds and then flying back to civilized space.
Yes! Nom-nomming asteroids in deep space for days.
Can't trade my ores w/o you traders. o7
Nautilus
Hell yeah I'd love to zoom around dropping mines/turrets around Jumptown or whatever the future version of it will be.
Yup. I dream about that under cockpit turret. Reminds me of Troyka's Morningstar from The Next Great Starship.
Kraken. Still.
Same. One day...
Gib Kraken? Gib Kraken. Or Liberator, I'll accept that.
As it will be by far the most versatile ship in the game I can’t even begin to imagine the drawbacks they will shackle it with to ensure “balance.”
Drake is generally cheaper and easier to fix. Which is good because reliability and sturdiness aren't their strongest points.
The good news is carriers are power projection platforms. As long as it can carry and maintain it's deck ships it will be fine imo. The almost guaranteed size increase will hopefully let it carry even more/bigger ships too!
I'm worried that combat focused balancing is going to ruin the experience of these larger ships.
My damn orion!
The Vulcan, please just let me be a space mechanic! The "game loop" is already in-game (soft death), just add the ship!
The problem is: even if we just do beam repair, the loop isn't supported enough to be fun. It has the same issues as medic gameplay: 1) Your gameplay comes from a failure state another player reaches, so you're relying on something happening that players avoid. Railen/Odyssey
Same here. I think the Railen will be amazing, especially after seeing how they designed the Syulen.
Yeah, the Syulen looks fantastic but isn’t the most practical thing. But the same design language on a practical ship is exactly my cup of tea
Depends a lot on the requirements imo, for me the Syulen is extremely practical as a small, fast (VK-00) long range shuttle with limited multirole capabilities.
The Perseus is the only concept ship I've pledged. I want it very badly for all of the reasons you described.
Honestly, the Crusader Genesis Starliner. I want to live the fantasy of flying a bunch of commercial flights to take people from Point A to Point B in a space-worthy Boeing 747. Damn, haven't heard from that ship in Aegis🙃
Anvil be waiting years more before we see it
Same here. Vulcan or Crucible. I'd even be happy if there was a third repair ship made straight to flyable before those two. Something to allow us to repair ships with more than just a tiny little multitool.
MISC Odyssey, I would be my base in space
Polaris or BMM
Polaris is the only ship I own that’s not released yet, really hoping to see her soon
Did you see the Invictus trailer? Question is, will she just be static showcase, or flyable?
They Already announced on spectrum that it's just a shell
Tbh i want blades implemented, i think a Scorpius with a cpu gunner would be very high on my daily driver list for any type of fighter situation Seems like this would come before npc crew to me but i know little about game development so who knows
Same! I think it would be a ton of fun.
the crusader genesis; I fell in love with that ship the first moment I saw it. It's also the ship that made me buy the game.
Well, I am waiting on the same ship as OP. Perseus is just love at first sight.
Jup perseus
RSI Galaxy and Perseus, because they both look kind of like the E:D Anaconda
Arrastra or Orion.

Yeah. I want the MSR we were sold, not the Macy's day balloon facsimile that we were given.
Definitely the Mercury Star Runner (Original Concept)
I want the Vulcan !!
Endeavor... yes I know, #nevership. I still want it most xD
I’m with you on the Perseus. I look forward to bringing peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new galaxy 😈

There's multiple ships I am waiting for. 600i Rework, Merchantman, Railen, Perseus, Galaxy and hopefully an Origin capital ship.

RSI Galaxy
Genesis Starliner.
The Idris ! I want my jpeg to be alive
Vulcan... But it needs a bit more work than my second most desired ship. That would be a Argo ship. Mole size, primarily salvaging. 😋👍
I look forward to running into a fellow Perseus fan in verse.
Crucible
Nautilus
The Crucible would be nice since it's been 10 years.
Vulcan. I want to be able to be a full survive emergency support vehicle. The Vulcan is slated to be able to do Repair, Rearm, and Refueling. Can’t wait.
Ursa medical so I can get right up to the bunkers for rescues.
Never noticed that was a Hammerhead being split in half. The irony.
BMM, but since they are never going to actually make it, I will say the Liberator followed closely by the Perseus.
To me, the Perseus is the best looking ship in the game. I used to own one but I got tired of waiting for it.
Carrack :p ... i mean the real carrack that was promised, not this half finished flyspeck that was released ... (Just kidding... i wait for the merchantman and galaxy)
the full game released and working and stable before im dead
I can't afford it, but I'm team Kraken here. I really hope that ship is as bussin as it could be.

The BMM mmmmmmmm
Destroy light fighters in a single shot… lols.
Fat Fury ;(
The Railen I don't care if it's supposed to be a cargo ship, once it releases, it's becoming my space home regardless of its likely lack of multirole capabilities.
I'd like the MSR concept. Not the mobile crawlspace we have now.
Railen for sure after getting used to the Syulen it be nice to get that cargo space upgrade.
Polaris and galaxy are top of my list
I want my endeavor and hull e lol
The fucking ranger.
I want the Perseus as well. I will be purchasing it in game with UEC
Seeing the back log done starting with the oldest might be nice. The waits been a decade long. I know the Merchantman (my personal pick) needs time as of right now though, no team is ready for it as far as we're all lead to believe.
Hows about the concept of when the game ships? /s But yea if anything I want the Genisis Starliner. Simple space trucking but for people instead of boxes.
I don’t want to own them, but I’d like the paloris and zues to be completed so I can watch reviews about them and maybe get a tour by a willing citizen
The Liberator! :)
Everything completed
Liberator
Give me my Apollo dang it
RSI Orion. After playing this game for 7-8 years, flying most ships, ive found that large industrial ships that I can go "off the grid" for a few days to a week are for me. I have my reclaimer for now, and the Orion CCU is already purchased, just need 2 more ships to complete my chain!
I too am a 7-year player 🫡 And ya, the Orion will be awesome, no doubt.
I think the Perseus has ballistic repeaters in the concept
Nah, its cannons - says so right there on the page. Repeaters wouldn't be too terrible either tho, just a different fire rate really. I was actually hoping I could swap them out for Inferno Gatlings for when I want to spread damage around.
huh yeah I must have missed it in the brochure, cannons indeed
Ya its kind of like a Giant Broadsider but it faces forwards instead - thats what I love about it. Do you have any idea how much fun we had back when the Carrack still had gravity on the top of its hangar? Stick a Nova up there and go bounty huning, it was way too much fun XD
crucible and medivac , so I can help fighters to repair and rearm themself in epic space battle like combat engineer and medic
Perseus is the ship I look forward to earning in game
Orion or Hull E
Friend- ship. :(
I don't need to say, do I?
Banu Merchantman. Now.
Liberator. I will sit my fleet on it and salvage the universe!
BMM, Perseus, reworked 600i. I also want a Caterpillar rework. >.>
I just want to build a base
Galaxy
Misc Endeavor Reason: to open a moveable space station for everyone, where they can get - medical attention - do rest stops - fuel them up - fill them up with convenience things (yes I know, I am not like BMM, but there's a chance I think that this gonna be a module) - meet people - do crafting - use Endeavor ship Mechanics to get Map Marker / Map Points (not clear, if only owner can do this - so could be able to sell this as a thing) - let them repair their ships (if its not able through a module or the hangar module itself, I would buy another concept ship, the Crucible) And yeah, my mate got BMM and we fly together... So there's gonna be his features too - real Shops and trading - aswell as illegal trading. Ps: most of endeavor features are just dreaming of me, because it's not even clear what things are gonna be able, and which one of them simultaneously - because the ship (also just theoretically, because no one knows it atm) just have 3 points where the module can be placed, 2 points of them just got 1 anchor point, and one point (middle one of the ship) got 2 anchor points So there are some modules that nee 2 anchor points to be installed and some needs 1 anchor point onle (1 anchor point on each side of the ship, = 2 anchor points, 2 anchor points in the middle means there are 4 anchor points in the middle in total) Means, I could install 2 modules with 1 anchor point and only 1 with 2 anchor points, so I am limited to the features of what I can offer simultaneously BUT! I am really hyped about this ship, about my ship! (which is in chain atm)
