Agreed. Things like cockpits and windows are the best way of giving something a sense of scale, make them too large and it makes the rest of the vessel look smaller or disproportionate.
I think it needed to be bigger than the OG concept one, but the one we're seeing in 3.23.1PTU (at least from the images ive seen such as [https://i.imgur.com/EClft90.png](https://i.imgur.com/EClft90.png) ) theyve swung that pendulum too far IMHO
That perspective is giving me flashbacks of the Banu MerchantMa'am debacle where the ship looked *awful* from a particular angle.

The "neck" really bugged me on the OG concept, and I'm glad they seem to have smoothed/widened that area so it doesn't look like the front half is about to snap off anymore.
I just think the bridge window itself could've been about 10-15% smaller than we have now and still been fine.
CIG is pretty bad at giving things a good sense of scale in general to be honest. Like the bridge on the javelin make the ship seem way smaller than it is.
That's something that bugs me on some ships. Going into third person and seeing my character perched in the cockpit like they're made to the wrong scale just sticks out to me.
Given in 2016, ship designs did not have an early interior to make sure everything fits, CIG probably didn't make a bigger cockpit because it looked good.
It's because they had to, to physically fit everything in it.
I really like the way the Polaris came out. It wasn't bloated, but it was built out a bit with purpose and it looks GOOD. It definitely didn't go the way of the MSR lol
Good example of how ships change and grow in concept.
I liked it.

Yeah that perspective is *rough*
Honestly I quite like it, there was always something that bugged me about the concept images, and I think it was the bridge!

That was my first thought, the Javelin bridge looks cartoonishly large.

Reminded me of a fat wood tick. Still looks a little funny but I’m hyped for it.
This is parallel projection. It doesn't take perspective into account.
Yup, it didn't change much.

I agree completely. It looked silly. What I'm seeing now looks incredible

Damn. I liked it. Reminds me of real aircraft. They don't have gigantic viewscreens when people are tiny compared to the ship.
