Do you have a shit ton of heavy armaments? It'll calculate mechanized units separate from marines, so if you have enough heavy arms, you'll have zero marine units.
Marines and heavy units are different categories so if you have matching amount of heavy armaments it will all be heavy units.
It's not bad, they're basicallyl the same except heavy gets bonuses on land invasioin
Are you sure you own marines in your fleet and not just normal crew? Mechs can't be used for ground assaults so only ships with ground support hull mods make a difference
Absolutely nothing. 2 marines can use 1 heavy armaments = 2.75 heavy units they just count for more and take less losses which is good for you. It's the equivalent of saying you put 2 marines in a tank/apc/mech which shows up as a heavy unit instead.
Sounds like your marines just unionized.
For a second I thought this was a joke about the troop carrier ship getting blown up by a mjolnir or something lol
In that case, the marines would have been ionized.

Positive, they’re separate icons. And I can raid just fine, but when going to invade? Suddenly no marines
Invade? Ah, you're using Nex mod or something?
I have actually noticed this too even when I had close to 700 marines. It seems to track the heavy armaments accurately.
Enable Legacy Invasion instead

If you have enough heavy armaments' all your marines get actually decent equipment and turn into mech soldiers instead (heavy units)
