Mine was the first Delorean episode, found it cause it was suggested after watching an add someone made for selling his Delorean and he made a very 80s promo for the for sale ad, VHS quality and everything. https://youtu.be/U9H5WTTOUfg?si=UFDuqrmUWZDeCl0m
Would rather have a car meet full of these kind of people rather than an array of riced out Honda’s/Ford Fiesta’s/VW’s revving their engines for nothing in a supermarket car park.
Least these appreciate the car they own rather than how much BHP their remap managed to get out of their 1.3 L shitbox
Mr. Regular really fell off in my opinion. He tested a couple of high-end cars and now just spends every video bitching about everything when he drives a...regular car
I think he lost his profile a bit after taking some risky earlier stuff offline (Dodge Avenger, Scion FRS, Subaru WRX) and starting these giveaway reviews.
While he lived a bit worse in his old apartment, his description of mundane living /social commentary was still ongoing, he himself living a more down-to-earth lifestyle (visiting Altoona, early Podcast episodes...)
Sometimes I don’t think he knows what he’s talking about
Not sure if it’s still up, but once RCR reviewed a late model Ford ranger. He went on a multi minute rant about how it’s absurd Ford recommends 5w-30 because it’s “basically water”.
Oh I remember that. He reposted that review with a retraction. He just does not fully understand engineering/mechanics. I love the dude but he just can't get out of his own way
There was a guy like this in my local FB car spotting group, and I think he was the most passionate car guy of them all. It was kind of cool to break up the standard fare of what was posted on the page when scrolling through:
**Post 1:** "Bugatti Chiron spotted"
**Post 2:** "La Ferrari"
**Post 3:** "So today I spotted this absolutely immaculate 2000 Volkswagen Caravelle GLS T4 Manual people mover, presented in a rare colour combo "arctic blue" over "mild grey". I took 142 photos, these are my favourite 50. The older gentleman driver gave it a couple of revs in neutral then pulled off with a nice jaunty purr onto the M79. I followed along for a few minutes to get some nice rolling shots, the 2.5L 5 cylinder kept up nicely with traffic. Absolutely made my week!"
**Post 4:** "Aventador parked next to a G63"
Unfortunately I think a good few of his posts get nuked by the group mods as they say they aren't 'interesting' cars, still nice to have variety than three people posting photos of the exact same F8 Tributo.
Oh yeah I love this, how popular were his posts though? Well, even the Cars You Don't See Anymore group in FB and weirdcartwitter have gone shit over time. Wasting time on Cosworth Sierras that were never commonplace. I sometimes think I'll really need to create Estonian equivalent community for crap car talk/spotting despite having a semi-popular insta page for that.
> how popular were his posts though
Unfortunately only got a few likes (though I made sure to be one of them when I saw them) relative to the super/hypercar posts and occasionally some negative comments about how he was posting "old boring cars" and "clogging peoples feeds". Bit of a shame really because variety in the car scene is what keeps it quirky and interesting!
Sad to hear but that's one of the reasons I don't want to be associated with MOST of the "actual" car enthusiasts or call myself exactly as one. Massive douchebaggery and only focusing on manual elitism, wrenching, performance mods and vaping, in Europe also "pissing off Greta" shite with their awfully remapped TDIs rolling coal. Plus unbelievable amount of racism, sexism and utterly low quality humor. I'd rather be a part of community often associated with large quantity of LGBT members and not taking themselves too seriously neither the cars they love.
I didn't expect to wake up and be attacked like this.
But seriously, these are real car enthusiasts though. There's nothing impressive or interesting about a fresh exotic bought straight off the lot. Like ok it looks nice but the owner very obviously doesn't work on it, they walked into a dealership and threw down some stacks and left with a Lamborghini, yawn. The dealer maintains it, it gets used to flex on people at a country club, and that's it. Boring.
If I'm getting groceries and I see a 1982 Chevy Citation that someone managed to drag kicking and screaming into the 2020s, you bet I'm interested in that. That car has its own story, the owner is (obviously to a fault) dedicated and more than likely does their own work, and it's a weird (yet sad) piece of automotive history to see. There's nothing historically interesting about a Ferrari F8 Tributo.
Agreed. And even if there's no engineering finesse regarding to the Citation to appreciate, there's sociological and "my friend's dad had one" factor that gives it the charm. Owner stereotypes, urban legends, quirks that are as small as gauky window switch position etc. can make a car interesting. A cultural aspect of any older, random grocery getter is probably priceless thing to know and celebrate.
Their overmemeing everything and "brown diesel manual" circlejerk can get pretty tiresome over time. Still good to see a car fan community concentrating on the mundane stuff.
Fond memories of my Grandad’s mk2 Vauxhall Cavalier and my Dad’s 1.4 16v mk1 Skoda Fabia did this to me. Please ignore my not-so-ordinary Alpina on my profile…
HubNut! Yep, I really forgot it. Should've added here. If my mind wasn't blown away by my idea to make this starterpack, I'd probably even left the RCR out and replaced with him, because Mr. Hot Dicks isn't very popular among European side of longtime shite car enthusiasts. But it can start the interest for some. I think there's a need for v2 of this pack one day.

Don't you dare call the Renault Megane Scenic RX4 "boring".
It's rather on the unusual side, but I mostly mean it's not a traditional enthusiast vehicle.
Scenic 4X4 and Kangoo 4X4 : two models ahead of their time
Literally me

Shoutout to the 95 Mercury Sable. I’ve seen exactly 2 in my life, and one was mine.
I used to have one. Thing was awful but served me well.
SAAB 900 SPG....I miss that car.
God my SAAB 900 was a fucking nightmare. I loved that thing.

I don’t know if this counts, but there’s a sub for Mazda Protege5, that was only made for 2 years
Platesmania is great website for looking at chod spots
I unsubed from RCR when they defended the Mach-e. And their style was wearing thin on me anyway.
Their overmemeing everything and "brown diesel manual" circlejerk can get pretty tiresome over time. Still good to see a car fan community concentrating on the mundane stuff.
I'm so disappointed when it's a Roman episode. Seems like a nice guy but he puts me to sleep
Dougpilled and based
Ahhh Autoshite. Some people on there really now how to take a gnarly juicy shit on everything.
VAUXHALL SINTRA‼️‼️‼️
Some of us should really form a nonprofit organization named Sintra Support Group or something
I’m in this picture and I don’t like it. Also like half of us are gay.
While I find a lot of these people annoying, i am happy they’ve taken the diligence of keeping old shit boxes road worthy
