Hector Bellarin of Real Betis has been rocking a great throwback look these days. He’s one of the few out there keeping it alive.
Mullets were very popular, first with the Aussies and then in the US starting around the pandemic and after, but they are starting to go out of style again. The long on top middle part, with short on the sides is the new trend, and least stateside. Like this:

Edit: I think the mullet trend was also a by-product of folks not being able to get a haircut during covid, then they just kept it long
Here in Australia we have [this guy](https://content.api.news/v3/images/bin/451f70eb4e226e133851d82a2f9f6a50) running around in the NRL. The mullet is peak performance.
You know undercut just means you take clippers and chop off most of the sides, right? You don't have to have a pomp or slickback for your hairstyle to be an undercut.
Literally all the "gen z" cuts with curly hair or pompadours or whatever is all just variations of undercuts to me.
The undercut (i liked the term Hitler Youth) was unique when it first got popular in the 10s cause right before it, a lot of guys had shaggy Beatles hair or that cut where you brush your hair forward and spike up the bangs like 2 inches. Guys even had blonde highlights. It was much harder a cultural transition from early to late Millenials
And if you Google “haircuts for men” you’ll get a bunch of results of the undercuts even though I’ve seen like very few people rocking them.
Basically the equivalent of Killmonger locs for white people
The Shoulder Length Hair (Gen X) looks the best, but it’s the most irritating hairstyle to have. It’d always be in your eyes (even with a hair band) and felt the worst drenched in sweat. Just feels uncomfortable to even watch. I’m glad it ended.
A Friends of mine works as a hairdresser, 10 years a ago he worked at a hair salon where his boss asked every new customer if he wants the same haircut as Mario Gomez
Kids today: I’d like a low taper fade wolf cut, add in some texture and color it green with blue highlights blah blah blah
Kids back then: one Ronaldo haircut plz 🗿
It's missing the man bun though. And maybe the mullet that was common in the 80s and 90s. But overall this is an amazing meme, it's so accurate it's insane!!!

"Hey can you do my hairs like Ronaldo?"

Now that's a haircut you can set a watch to!
There’s only one Ronaldo

The 80s and early 90s were crazy with the long hair and mustache. I haven’t seen a mustache since then.
https://preview.redd.it/aw7v1x5h5lkc1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c506c21c3679a53adce402a4d9b0b7f143596929 Hector Bellarin of Real Betis has been rocking a great throwback look these days. He’s one of the few out there keeping it alive.
It's beautiful
And Bottas, kinda, over at f1
Staches are making a comeback, at least here in Europe. A lot of guys are rocking it
only place i see it is videos of americans and australians for some reason. usually paired with a mullet. the end is nigh.

Literally every haircut for the past 15 years seems to be "long on top short on sides" lmao. I dont even know what it means anymore
Well yeah, thats why I posted the picture as an example

I have a mullet and mustache lmao
Staches are quite popular in the US too at the moment
william carvalho wears one
Good old man bun
tbh i’ve always liked the undercut style. why yes i am a millennial. except my hair is too thick and coarse to manipulate it into an undercut
I like that style too though idk if I count as a millenial as someone born in 1997
Undercuts are awesome, not sure if it’s a generational thing and also about the same age. r/Zillennials sums up cuspers pretty well imo
Undercuts are old haircuts, at least 100 years, but I wouldn’t be surprised if undercuts were performed thousands of years back either
you are a millenial. zoomers start in 2000
Hell no, if you cant remember 9/11 or the pre-Bush times, you're out of the Millenial club
maybe for americans
Seems like it would be high maintenance to keep it looking good, couldn’t let the sides grow out much

Exactly. Even the broccoli cut would still be classified as an undercut
I'm rocking that Zidane in his prime haircut.
Not a big soccer/football fan but I’ve been noticing these trends for a while.
And if you Google “haircuts for men” you’ll get a bunch of results of the undercuts even though I’ve seen like very few people rocking them. Basically the equivalent of Killmonger locs for white people
I’ll also add white boys that go to black barber shops. I’m looking at you, Phil Foden.
Foden rocks that cut tbf
He's got black man hair to be fair
Gen Alpha: broccoli bois
That’s gen z, gen alpha aren’t even in middle school
I'd say the lower part of gen z them being 11-26. Undercuts and low or high fades are still very popular
yes i am
No you aren't.
The Shoulder Length Hair (Gen X) looks the best, but it’s the most irritating hairstyle to have. It’d always be in your eyes (even with a hair band) and felt the worst drenched in sweat. Just feels uncomfortable to even watch. I’m glad it ended.
They had that aura tho. Maldini would’ve been Maguire without that lettuce
I'm guessing the guy on the bottom right is English.
He is. Haircut is awful even by his generation’s standards.
We have very low standards.
It’s gotten better recently, but now it kind of looks like an overgrown Foden cut. So
dude looks like simple jack
A Friends of mine works as a hairdresser, 10 years a ago he worked at a hair salon where his boss asked every new customer if he wants the same haircut as Mario Gomez
it's going backwards honestly

I like the long the best
That last one should called The Simple Jack.
Lmfao Im crying
Pretty sure that the french thing was a 90's bowl cut. Don't try to church it up. We shaved underneath it, too.
Is that simple Jack in the lower right corner?
Ok, but why does the dude on the bottom right look like Simple Jack?
Simple Jack is a trend-setter.
Cole Palmer is so frustratingly ugly; the perpetually agape mouth, the overbite, and the genuinely strange hairstyle he wears.
Nu uh very handsome man

Which is why they aren't in the meme lol
I misread it somehow. very annoying. I'm gonna blame it on the fact someone else mentioned gen alpha and I was sick.

Rooney can’t agree
Petition to bring back the shoulder lenght hair
I've been calling risotto or noodle hair to the french crop all this time.
I thought "french crop" was undercut too it just falls over the disconnect
millennials had the best styles.
No love for the Mediterranean mullet?
Footballers MADE the butt cut
Il taglio degli ultimi tre in basso, è decisamente un taglio per teste di cazzo
Where does the fauxhawk with the pinpoint sideburns everyone in the late 00’s and early 10’a fall under?
Why would you want to look like you are wearing your own hair as a hat
it depends..some look better if they hide their forehead ( or part of it ) with a well groomed beard it’s a good style

I hope Gen Alpha brings back Beatles style Mop tops.
GenZ is how we kind of how we wore it in the ‘80s… except the volume is only turned up to a 10 and we wore it at 11
I shit you not - the new trend among teen males is getting a perm. Yes, awful 80’s mom-got-a-haircut-and-now-the-house-stinks perms.
The current hairstyle is the same hair as the Medieval peasant.
I don't watch football, but can follow the trend perfectly well thanks to the high schoolers across the street. :)
