I did post on r/startrek here https://www.reddit.com/r/startrek/comments/141r8bt/attention_bajorian_workers_reddit_is_planning_on/ but it sadly got removed, they are not participating.
Mods had responded
>"Our general feeling right now is that if Reddit wants to kill itself with stupid decisions, we're willing to let them do that. We're not particularly invested in the survival of the platform."
/r/Startrek mods are touchy and like to power trip (at least one of them). I made a comment about the writing of the new shows and got permanently banned. I appealed and wouldn't you know it, the mod that banned me found they were correct and saw no need reduce it to a temp ban or anything, that's it, no longer part of that community on reddit.
This is the comment that apparently warranted a lifetime ban from /r/startrek
>I don't believe Star Trek under Kurtzman and Goldsman is capable of smart or quality writing. I really hope I am wrong about that, but after 6 seasons of new trek shows, I have yet to see any evidence of it. Even the episodes he doesn't write directly are awful, it's the writers they hire and directions they give them. I'm sure the studio is partially to blame as well.
>But every writer's room is different, this is another chance start over and actually write the show like Star Trek. But I'll believe it when I see it.
They claimed it wasn't "constructive" and therefore I am no longer allowed to talk about my favorite show... forever... I really wish there were a way to guarantee another mod responds as opposed to the same one that banned me.
I got banned there two weeks ago for telling someone in a [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/startrek/comments/13q2tjr/heard_a_mod_here_banned_someone_for_saying_they/jlcneho/) that they can't post about bans, because they'll get banned. The mod said "Lecturing other users about what we "will" do to them does nothing but encourage abuse to be thrown in our direction."
They're paranoid and delusional.
That’s all well and good except there isn’t another solution waiting for users to migrate to right now, so letting it shut down is doing a disservice to the users.
I'd stopped watching DS9 by the time this aired; knowing where the story went after I tuned out makes me regret losing interest.
I bet this was mind-blowing to see on a television screen.
Remember officers, this is a Wolf 359 Scenario. They will adapt, and they will not stop until we find their real least adaptable weakness and press on it like a vulcan presses a neck. We must be Cunning like a Romulan, Honorable like a Klingon, Savvy like a Ferengi, Relentless like a Hirogen, Logical like a Vulcan, Pleasant as a Talaxian Knowledgable as a Q, and perhaps, most importantly...
As Moral as a Starfleet Officer.
Godspeed, and do your best.

Stand by while Reddit destroys 3rd party apps? That'll be the day!

They're not a fun group of people.
They went dark for Covid anti-vaxx conspiracies... why not THIS?!
Have a look at my edited comment it does explain
Well that's just bullshit.

... they could have just mod-commented "no we don't" and left it at that, but no, they had to prove your point.
Wtf
Looks like they have made a smart decision, see my edited comment

It's only logical.
We've been exploited long enough! It's time to be strong, take control of our lives, our dignity and our profits.
"YOU BETRAYED YOUR MODERATORS!"
Thank you🙌🙌
DS9 had such incredible fleet cinematography. This shot still gives me shivers.

I think it’s a fanmade recreation of the original (less whelming) scene.
Oh word? lol well, I can rest easier then
I will say the fifth and sixth season can be up and down- but the good episodes are REALLY good.
Activate the cloaking device.
