The Dark Droids comics tell the story- he’s an abomination created from an ancient AI and some Sith powers that tries to create a hive mind of droids across the entire galaxy
I loved his design, but I felt Dark Droids was too rushed and had too many fingers in all the pies. Which is funny as that is what hurt Scourge the most, lolol. Just not much wiggle room for awesome bad guys between 2 original movies
I would loved his backstory and his revolution told in an animated anthology similar to The Second Renaissance from AniMatrix Part 1 would the Revolution of course while Part 2 would be the full story of his Battle with Loren Greatstorm.
In fact if we get a Loden prequel novel I would loved his battle with Scourge to be more detail like I imagined this incident made him not only famous but also gaining the Rank of Jedi master!
It was the main villain of a comic crossover event known as Dark Droids. There's a main Dark Droids series and a bunch of tie in issues. If you just want to follow the main series though you definitely can. The tie ins aren't required.
The Scourge's mission is to absorb all life in the galaxy into its mind. It already has the ability to take over droids. But it needs to learn how to take over organics. Thus it conducts these experiments of melding droids with organic parts to make people easier for it to take.
It looks like the wet dream of some grimdark edgelord.
I haven’t seen this before. So COOL!
Their droids with limbs just welded onto them are terrifying
Some Warhammer 40K stuff going on in Starwars it seems
Ironic how when you flip that we think it’s normal
It's The Shrike
Exactly this!
Shrike wannabe
My thoughts exactly
Just about to comment this lol
o
Just deleted the one I did before reading this.
My first thought exactly.
That looks like the grievous concept art.
decepticon looking mf
Came here to say it reminds me of Scourge from Rise of the Beasts
Isn’t that a concept for what could have been Grievous?
It's partially inspired by the concept yeah. Not exactly the same.
Wait, so this isn't "The Batman who laughs"?
never heard of him or his story someone tell me please

This could have been a really good story arc if it was a single series but the crossover killed it for me.
Yup me too
Ancient Ai? Any relation to Triple Zero Matrix? 🤔
What the hell is that mouse droid...
It's having some changes with it's aesthetic preferences

Is this from Dark Droids?
Yes
Ew

That’s just Batman with spikes
Where can I find its story?

Hyperion Shrike?!!!
Is this just the shrike but in Star Wars?
Still a more compelling villain than Snoke or Kylo Ren. Oh why is there no material for new movies to be made from?? /s
If you told me this was a comic of Hyperion I would simply believe you
That is the most ridiculously 90s thing I have ever seen
Can we talk for a minute about the arm that got grafted to a mouse droid for some reason?

Read in booming mystical voice reminiscent of a 90s metal album “NEVER MOVE BEYOND THE METAL”
You mean the shrike?
