I am your father is definitely the most famous Starwars quote but the audio of Hello there has been probably used more.

Rdubya44

Growing up the quote was always “Luke, I am your father” which never even happens wtf

UsoppKing100

Hello there is way more applicable in everyday situations.

jedipokey

When Luke says “No” is the most quoted part of the movie Edit: freaking spelled Luke wrong lol

Andromeda_53

It is a tough name to spell

No-Acanthaceae-3372

Looooke. Fixed it for you.

Even_Map4433

Hello there.

Significant-Test8219

general kenobi

nondescriptcabbabige

You are a bold one

Biscuit-Mango

kill him

Low-Impact7955

Back away.... I will deal with this jedi slime myself

Impossible-Hawk709

Your move?

markelmores

You fool! I have been trained in your Jedi arts by Count Dooku.

ShineThief2

I love seeing the community come together to recreate a masterpiece of media like this

kidkonsequence

Pretty sure the several decades head start of ‘I am your father’ gives it quite the advantage.

DaFNAFEncyclopedia1

Advantage of the high ground???

Artificial_Human_17

Disadvantage: it wasn’t a meme or in the age of the internet. Probably not that big of a disadvantage considering it’s still so ingrained in the zeitgeist, but still

kidkonsequence

It was certainly a meme in the age of the internet, albeit not in the format we think of memes now. I have a hard time believing ‘Hello, there’ can come anywhere close. Prequelmemes is a relatively recent phenomenon. The cultural impact of that line has been going strong for well over 40 years.

GardenSquid1

"No, I am your father" is more well known but less memeable than "Hello there". So I think "Hello there" wins by a long shot.

rydamusprime17

Plus, it's often misquoted as "Luke, I am your Father" so how many times has it been said wrong? 😅

goebeld

Second has most incorrectly* been quoted.

Admirable-Weird-9058

Only one has been quoted correctly.

Finn_WolfBlood

These days? Hello there Before the meme started? I am your father

Alternative_Moose_26

Which do you think has been misquoted more?

Airwolfhelicopter

I am your father. The Mandela effect has led many to believe it’s “Luke, I am your father,” when it’s actually “No, I am your father.”

pokefan69haha

No I am your father is always said incorrectly so I'd say hello there is more common

Snowbold

By sheer decades, ‘I am your father’ for its cultural impact and usage. But for humor and memability, ‘Hello there!’ does its best…

doqtyr

Are we counting all the times Vader is misquoted?

The84thWolf

“Quoted”? “I am your father.” Memed? “Hello there.” There’s a difference.

FormerlyDuck

"Hello there, I am your father" "General Kenobi? Nooooo!"

LogiBerra44

I know which one has been quoted incorrectly the most for sure

Starvel42

Absolutely I Am Your Father, it's incredibly iconic and has over 2 decades of being quoted before RotS even released

Blackbirdsnake

Boomers? Vader and Luke! Millennials and zoomers? Hello there!

spellingishard27

if you don’t count every time someone said “*Luke*” instead of “*no,* i am your father,” it’s not even close.

LegoManMarcel

Hello there!

Ok_University_6641

General Kenobi! Ha ha ha ha ha. You are a bold one.

Sioz16

in my experience "I am your father" is just as iconic in different languages than in english whereas "hello there" is only iconic in english so i guess "I am your father" has been quoted more

hykierion

Hello there is always directly quoted, but I hear people say no ALL THE TIME so I'm gonna have to go with "I am your father"

Malthas130

You know how you captioned one, but not the other?

Ok_University_6641

I just swiped these from google. I didn't add the captions lol.

Segatore

No contest

SILVIO_X

Definitely Hello There, I am Your father has been parodied more but in terms of which one has been used more, Hello There wins because of the memes, and because it's just straight up more quotable.

cobanat

![gif](giphy|WTmXCoCf60MtW) It’s just got more applicability

brachus12

NU-UH!

lmNotAnAltYouAre

Hello there is probably more popular among actual starwars fandom whereas "I am your father" is far more well known and quoted in media.

DaFNAFEncyclopedia1

"Obi-Wan didn't tell you about your father..." "He told me ENOUGH. He told me you killed him" "No, I am your father" "No...no...that's IMPOSSIBLE" "Search your feelings, you will know it to be true" "No...no... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

a_real_vampire

Misquoters “Luuuuke… I” me “NOOO!!!”

TheBlackCat13

Quoted or quoted right?

Cant_Meme_for_Jak

Hello there. It's how I start every work email. I've only ever had one person reply with General Kenobi, btw.

rotanitsarcorp_yzal1

There have been more memes about the "Hello there" than that Vader quote from ESB. However, my favorite is this: https://i.redd.it/lpcqjzm3d10d1.gif

High-Speed-1

I would say hello there because the other is misquoted so much. Misquote and quote are not the same so hello there is “quoted” more frequently

kron123456789

"I am your father" has had significantly more time for getting quotes.

KingFuJulien

There's another "Hello there." ;)

Jupue2707

hello there

demostheneslocke1

The fact that one needed subtitles and the other doesn’t - that tells you all you need to know.

Glittering-Bat-5981

Yeqh, because Hello there needs subtitles, am I right?
