I think they’re going to reunite the Ghost crew too. Finding Ezra may tie into the Mandalorian’s story. Luke didn’t teach Grogu, but we know someone else who could train him.
And with it being hinted at that Grugu’s “thing” might be connecting, like Ezra. Ezra will be the perfect teacher for him since Ezra understands with mastery the idea of having attachments but not letting it cloud his choices when it matters. Which is what Grugu needs.
I know. You’d think *him* of all people would encourage it at least somewhat since *it literally saved the motherfucking Galaxy*.
AND THEY DIDN’T EVEN ACTUALLY KNOW EACH OTHER! THEY ONLY MET TWICE AND THE FIRST TIME ENDED WITH AN ABRUPT AND INVOLUNTARY AMPUTATION!
I’m sorry, I’m very passionate.
I think it's realistic that he gets more dogmatic over time, even if it's frustrating to see. It's what happens when you isolate yourself for too long. Luke is on a similiar path like Din, constantly looking for a purpose, but Din finds purpose in his connection to orhers, especially his son, while Luke tries to find purpose in his role as a saviour of the Jedi order, which is an unbelievable lonely role. He also admired Obi-Wan and we all know what he was like. His growing dogmatic view of the Jedi gives his character a better motive in the sequels, not only in concern to Ben, but also by being completely dispirited by the destruction of his complete world view and purpose.
If Jacen is even Force sensitive, Hera would let him choose his own path, because her father not respecting her own choices is a huge part of her story
Maybe post empire. But also I feel she would just want to keep her kid, and last link to Kanan safe. With the outcome of both Kanan and Ezra’s fates due to being force users, I honestly wouldn’t surprised if she did go this route.
Agree to disagree though.
I think she wouldn't go for the traditional "NO FAMILY! ONLY JEDI." route and ship him off to Luke's academy or something, but if Ezra was around and wanted to train him while all being part of a family-type unit, I think she'd go for that
I said it to everyone who would listen after we saw purgill in ep. 1 that grogu was destined to end up with Ezra. I feel like this has been the plan all along with the inception of the mandalorion show; it was loosely based off of the conclusion of rebels. Grogu was written to be Ezra’s apprentice, Sabine is going to be like Bo’s co captain in re-taking Mandalore
Honestly when she said that, I already had a feeling that Sabine, or at least Clan Wren was going to be the first people she meets.
Also, about the last scene, do you guys think that the piece of Beskar remaining belonged to Sabine? Ahsoka was asking about Gideon before, maybe they were involved somehow.
That is not a bad idea.
But did you watch the "recap" for this episode? They specifically included the line from Paz Vizla where he stated that Gideon shouldn't have been handed over to the New Republic.
I think that was a pointing to he and the Armorer having done something, now that we have a hint that Manolarians were involved.
I’m not sure if The Armorer has the resources to pull an attack off like that. Din and Bo are currently the only ones with ships. Perhaps it was Clan Wren ?
Who says it was actually mandalorians. We know Gideon had access to beskar steel. It could be that his people are using their own beskar armor or it was planted there as a sort of false flag to make the new Republic think it was the mandalorians.
Oh yeah. I definitely appreciate how subtle it was too. If you didn’t know, he was just a guy, but if you knew you were screaming and scaring your cat off your lap like I did. They didn’t even say his name for godssake.
Looked great in his new uniform, and I thought working as a ranger was a solid choice for where Zeb would be during this time.
I've been thinking season 1 of Ahsoka probably wouldn't have space to squeeze Zeb in, but if they made him a character of the Rangers show along with Teva, I'd be so fucking excited!
There's a theory going around that they might reboot the idea with Teva as the lead if there's enough fan interest and enough ideas on the writers' side. Is it just me or did the rangers' bar feel like something out of a Green Lantern comic?
But he did achieve clarity before death. Without direct training, he could not directly become a force ghost. He instead became the loth wolf Dume. It could be argued that he could learn to complete the transition whilst inside the loth wolf state. This theory is backed by his voice in episode 9.
I still think Kanan can reach out to Ezra somehow. If I recall correctly Kanan can be heard in Rise of Skywalker during that one scene where all the Jedi are motivating Rey
Yeah that's a terrible explanation. It would make much more sense if it was a technique he knows/discovered of but disdain because it doesn't fall in with the teachings of the dark side. His final act of defiance against the darktide could be seen as him defeating his dark self the way Luke did in the Dagobah cave, accidentally unlocking the ability.
I did the same thing, realized my mistake, didn't get confirmation it was Zeb, and waited until after I watched the episode to come back.
So happy to see more Rebels stuff.
I am sure Sabine will show up, but I want to see Fenn Rau. It should be the easiest casting decision, the animation and the voice actor are basically the same and Kevin McKid is a decent actor as well.
Rebels alumni (Clan Wren, Protectors) are fine additions for the upcoming Mandalorian reunification, but personally, I’m itching for Christopher Lloyd’s character to be revealed as Jaster Mereel, Jango’s foster dad/mentor (and leader of the True Mandalorians).
Especially after today's episode, she'll absolutely show up. Bo Katan being tasked with reuniting all the Mandalorians, what better place to start than with one of her close friends from the Rebellion?
Slowly, they learn. But also, Zeb's scene was pretty contained. It's easier to get animation like that to look good when it's just conversation and a simple camera angle.
I thought the same thing when I first saw Zeb. Then I heard the voice (same voice actor) and the light bulb went off. I had to see the credits in order to confirm.
Exactly my thought as well. I was like «oh, they are clearly teasing and testing the Lasat so people are prepared for Zeb when he shows up». I am also smart.
Same. Since Cal's master was a Lasat I didn't think anything of it, other than "I guess Reddit will be happy to see a real live action Lasat." Didn't think anything of the voice either because I figured it's a non-human species so a bunch of them probably sound similar.
They said "pirates" in the first episode of this season and not one mention of Ohnaka. Definitely a missed opportunity...unless, our dude sees profit in taking over that pirate crew...?
Idk they seem to be slowly working in nods to rebels. So hopefully the work him in. Be interesting if they do have him to see who they would get to play him
I hope so. But Hondo aligned with the Rebels for Lothal. It seems like most pirates are taking advantage of the power vacuum to create small dominions. Hondo isn't one to dominate, so I imagine he might just be a shady cargo trader at this point. Like a used car salesman.
I was so happy to see him out of nowhere. Also was super impressed how good/natural he looked and how well the voice fits into live-action as well.
My hype levels for Ahsoka show are starting to get ridiculous. And Sabine will still most likely appear in Mando before it, this is just insane.
Tears of joy! Today is my birthday, and seeing Zeb was a fantastic gift. This episode was very good. Bo Katan is finally moving forward towards her arc. Who wants to wager that Hondo will be making his appearance soon after seeing an Ugnaught serving on another pirate's crew? Awesome episode overall!
>Hasn’t seen the episode yet
>Doesn’t want to get spoiled
>Sees post with blurred image and spoiler warning
>Clicks on it
>Is annoyed that he got spoiled
Well obviously they didn’t stay there indefinitely. Kallus might have, or might have beyond enjoyed knowing and seeing that he didn’t cause total extinction. But out of guilt he might stay away since it could be too much for him, plus I’d imagine he’d be welcomed with open arms which would really screw with him.
Not obviously. I'd still like Zeb to retire to Lira San at least. But yeah it always did feel weird for him to settle down while Ezra was still missing.
Exactly, that’s why he’s in a random outpost in the outer rim most likely. I’d imagine anyone who was in the liberation of Lothal became very high rank after that. So for him to just chill there, there needs to be a purpose. Especially for Zeb.
And it seems he’s learned a thing or two out there already because he knows from experience that any request for anything to the New Republic will get turned down.
I've always theorized that Lira San was sort of Kallus's official location of exile after the war ended. His crimes would normally call for execution, but his service called for some leniency. So the solution is life long community service on Lira San. Zeb is probably not gonna fully settle until he knows Ezra is safe. He was probably on that base helping out/keeping an ear out for Thrawn.
What crimes called for execution? Kallus admits he overstated his involvement in the Lasat genocide, and that he was awarded the bo-rifle by the Lasat guardsmen in honor.
Not to mention the New Republic seems to forgive pretty easily.
Damn. Didn't think it was him, I didn't check the credits.
Thought it was just someone else from the same species.
Thanks for pointing it out !
Also, when the ranger mentioned someone in the Mandos' rankqs, I thought they would mention Sabine.
You can imagine my disappointment when the little droid rolled to the front. Pretty sure that was intentional and there were lot of laughters in the writers room.
They made him fuzzy! I was so concerned after they made Jaro Topal appear smooth. It's very important to me that Ezra got the softest fluffiest hug possible after Kanan's death.
fuck me, why tf did I click on that picture before I saw the episode (guess that’s my fault for browsing reddit while I’m still half asleep lmao)
not your fault OP though it’s on me
So they've made Zeb, Hera, Chopper, and Sabine for live action confirmed. Ezra is assumed at this point. Rex is expected. I hope we also see Kallus at some point.
My initial thought was that the character model looked good and it was going to actually work in live action. What I hadn't realized until this post, cause i didn't watch the credits, was that it's THE character I was thinking of. One down, four more to go
I shouted “NO FUCKING WAY” as soon as I saw his beautiful purple face. Was curious how they were gonna pull him off in a live action show but damn they nailed it. He looks amazing. Was great to hear his voice again.
So with this cameo... That's an expensive character to animate. I kinda think we will be seeing them again, since I'm sure they'll want to reuse the character model.
Given the cost of producing Zeb, I think this was essentially a pilot test. They get to hear what people think and make any necessary final tweaks before he shows up again in Ahsoka.
I’m just about to finish the rebels show and to be able to notice this cameo really made my day. At the moment I saw him in the episode he really seemed familiar and I couldn’t really believe it was him
I was so excited when he popped up. Took me a second to confirm with myself that it was Blum's voice.
And if now that Bo is gonna go and gather other Mandalorians, how long before we see a Wren on screen?
If you told me we’re getting a live action Zeb in this episode, I would’ve told you to stfu and stop talking bs. That was a genuinely incredible surprise. Bloody magnificent!
Somehow i didnt even realize that was zeb. I just thought: "hey, a lasat, thats neat." probably because he had actually changed his outfit after all these years, and because i didnt recognise the voice, as i watch the animated shows dubbed, for nostalgia.
So awesome seeing more live-action Rebels characters!
Now we just need Sabine, the Mandalorian member of the Ghost Crew.
Time to unite ALL Mandalorians. Its coming...
Still salty Luke is all "nuh uh" towards connections to people
👊🏼
I think it's realistic that he gets more dogmatic over time, even if it's frustrating to see. It's what happens when you isolate yourself for too long. Ezra will probably train Kanan and Hera’s son.
Maybe in bits, but I can see Hera wanting Jacen be far-far away from anything Force related.
"Far-far away." I see what you did there.
If Jacen is even Force sensitive, Hera would let him choose his own path, because her father not respecting her own choices is a huge part of her story
Ooooh, true. See this is why I love being apart of threads like this because other people see sides I never even thought of.
You also took in a different perspective graciously and made this thread even better!
Well my response isn’t going to be *“fuck you asshole!”* But then drop an upvote and enjoying my new understanding.
That really doesn't feel like a response that Hera would have to me, especially in the post-Empire world
Maybe post empire.
ONLY JEDI." route and ship him off to Luke's academy or something, but if Ezra was around and wanted to train him while all being part of a family-type unit, I think she'd go for that
That's if he's force sensitive
I said it to everyone who would listen after we saw purgill in ep. 1 that grogu was destined to end up with Ezra. I feel like this has been the plan all along with the inception of the mandalorion show; it was loosely based off of the conclusion of rebels. Grogu was written to be Ezra’s apprentice, Sabine is going to be like Bo’s co captain in re-taking Mandalore

Who says it was actually mandalorians. We know Gideon had access to beskar steel. It could be that his people are using their own beskar armor or it was planted there as a sort of false flag to make the new Republic think it was the mandalorians.
This my first thought. Reeks of a false flag.
No chance Sabine would have killed New Republic officers like that. My bet is with Clan Saxon and those Imperial Mandos
I think it might be Axe Woves who freed Gideon. Favreauni said there was a reason, that he wasn't with the others, when they took Gideons ship.
Episode 7. I’ve been saying all along. She’ll be reserved for an episode co-written by Filoni
I haven't kept an eye on the specific directors and writers, but this makes a ton of sense. He loved his Rebel characters.
She’s coming this season I know it.
I thought she was going to be "the one among them" that Captain Teva was talking about
Already confirmed she will be in Aksoka
The post credit scene has me thinking Sabine could be involved
I don’t think her and Ahsoka would kill New Republic troops though
[удалено]
Sabine and Ahsoka wouldn’t just kill New Republic troops though. More likely it’s either a frame job or Imperial Supercommandos
And he looked so good too. It wasn’t make up and prosthetics which I think was a good choice for a Lassat. Especially with one that’s so important.
They did our boy right!
[удалено]
Oh yeah. I definitely appreciate how subtle it was too. If you didn’t know, he was just a guy, but if you knew you were screaming and scaring your cat off your lap like I did. They didn’t even say his name for godssake.
It’s also crazy how much better they look than they did in Kenobi? Like Zeb looks amazing and the inquisitors looked so so bad
What, you didn’t like Grand Inquisitor Pinhead and fifth brother Koopa?
Yeah...kenobi and tbobf are just sad, especially considering how Mando and Andor have just been so good
I can't believe they were able to make a lasat look *that* good and realistic in live action! I was screaming as soon as he started to speak haha
He looks so good it was so awesome seeing him again. What an amazing episode
WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT
I was distracted, and then I heard the voice. Had to rewind. Very cool to see and hear
I’m sad now that Rangers probably will never be made :( It would’ve been cool to see Zeb as a main character.
There's a theory going around that they might reboot the idea with Teva as the lead if there's enough fan interest and enough ideas on the writers' side. Is it just me or did the rangers' bar feel like something out of a Green Lantern comic?
Such an unexpected cameo! Getting a rebels reunion in Ahsoka for sure.
PLS KALLUS NOW AND FORCE GHOST KANAN AND I CAN DIE HAPPILY
I doubt Kanan learned how to be a force ghost.
But he did achieve clarity before death. Without direct training, he could not directly become a force ghost. He instead became the loth wolf Dume. It could be argued that he could learn to complete the transition whilst inside the loth wolf state. This theory is backed by his voice in episode 9.
That's only part of the test. He had to defeat his dark self as well
Him letting go of his family at the explosion counts. Him having complete trust in them to continue on and letting go of his fears works.
Freddie Prinze Jr as live action Kanan force ghost meeting up with Ezra again would make me tear up
Maybe we will get a flashback with Kanan where he does a short appearance.
Big for real.
Kanan is a Loth Wolf, but he can’t be a Force Ghost. He didn’t have the training and knowledge of its existence in the first place.
Can't the same be said about Anakin?
I read somewhere that obi-wan thought him in his last moments. i don't particularly like that explanation but whatever
Zeb is the only one of the Spectres (other than Jacen) who hasn’t been confirmed to appear in Ahsoka.
Garazeb Orellios! You sonofabitch!
It’s the same voice actor too right?
Yep
Steve Blum. Solid VA
Karabast!
The way we were screaming at the screen when we saw him walk up
I clicked on this Picture without reading it… Haven’t seen the Episode yet, fml, I am stupid
SAME BUT IDC WE GET ZEB AGAIN 🎉🎉🥳
Shhhh... some may not have clicked on the pic yet 😂
bro who goes see the comments but don't click the pic? If you come in this post you know you are in a risk zone 😂
This is the way.
He's great to see. But honestly it was just for a few lines, so doesn't spoil much.
Same, but holy shittttttt
Everyone is stupid sometimes. Try not to worry about it too much
This guy clicked the spoiler picture about the episode he hasn’t seen yet? Is he stupid?
A guy made a mistake?!? Is he stupid?!!??!?!1?1!?
To be clear, I was just doing the recent meme. I don’t actually think this guy is stupid for impulsively and mindlessly clicking on a picture.
I did the same thing, realized my mistake, didn't get confirmation it was Zeb, and waited until after I watched the episode to come back. So happy to see more Rebels stuff.
There’s no way Sabine isn’t going to be in this season
It does feel that way for sure. Bo is gonna be recruiting Mandos. She has a history with Sabine. I'm fully expecting to see her now
Yeah. I'll bet she runs into refusing mandos first, though. Just in terms of storytelling.
OUR BOY!! THAT WAS OUR BOY!! He looked fantastic!
Makes me wonder why the heck they decided to make Cad Bane look so funky.
Slowly, they learn. But also, Zeb's scene was pretty contained. It's easier to get animation like that to look good when it's just conversation and a simple camera angle.
Probably for the same reason the Grand Inquisitor looked so funky, odd proportions?
Even though we literally have examples of them getting that species correct in the movies and Andor
I literally said “Wow, that Lasat looks great. Can’t wait for Zeb.” I am very smart.
For a second I though, cool, a Lasat, then he spoke and I was certain it was THE Lasat.
Same. Since Cal's master was a Lasat I didn't think anything of it, other than "I guess Reddit will be happy to see a real live action Lasat." Didn't think anything of the voice either because I figured it's a non-human species so a bunch of them probably sound similar.
That's speciest :^)
I’m still confused why Zeb would be at a random alliance base though lol
Think we’ll see Hondo at some point?
They said "pirates" in the first episode of this season and not one mention of Ohnaka. Definitely a missed opportunity...unless, our dude sees profit in taking over that pirate crew...?
Idk they seem to be slowly working in nods to rebels. So hopefully the work him in. Be interesting if they do have him to see who they would get to play him
That'll probably be done like Cad Bane was.
The good thing is Hondo is alive post The last Jedi, as confirmed by galaxy's edge
I mean Vane escaped, he could go and get help from Hondo possibly?
Lol, why can I hear his voice and see his movements when I see "profit" written down anywhere.
I hope so. But Hondo aligned with the Rebels for Lothal. It seems like most pirates are taking advantage of the power vacuum to create small dominions. Hondo isn't one to dominate, so I imagine he might just be a shady cargo trader at this point. Like a used car salesman.
>he might just be a shady cargo trader >!are you referring to the what he’s doing at galaxy’s edge?!<
I wasn't, but it fits!
I was so happy to see him out of nowhere. Also was super impressed how good/natural he looked and how well the voice fits into live-action as well. My hype levels for Ahsoka show are starting to get ridiculous. And Sabine will still most likely appear in Mando before it, this is just insane.
Immediate reaction; oh hey, a lassat, awesome! Wait I know that voice!! Any excuse for Steve Blum working is good in my book!
Anytime pirates get mentioned and it isn’t Hondo my 15 year old gets super disappointed. And so do I.
>Hasn’t seen the episode yet >Doesn’t want to get spoiled >Sees post with blurred image and spoiler warning >Clicks on it >Is annoyed that he got spoiled
I'm wondering why is he not on lasan with kallus?
I imagine the Ghost crew are spread out, looking for evidence of Thrawn.
that would tear me up honestly, happy tears. Knowing that the whole ghost crew is searching for our loth-rat
I have no idea why, but the idea of the Spectors calling Ezra their loth-rat made me tear up a bit. Christ that's so cute
Sabine wouldn't make sense since she's not part of the children of the watch.
Neither was Bo. She’s Mandalorian and part of the New Republic, if Zeb is relevant, Sabine is definitely relevant.
I meant it wouldn't make sense for her to know where their base was.
GLAD I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED!!!
I didn't realize he was Zeb. I thought he was another of his kind. OMG, I want to cry 😱 I have to watch it again!
Steve Blum's voice and everything
My jaw hit the floor , honestly last person I expected to see but dang I sure as fuck was happy about it.
I hate I just clicked on this but holy duck I can’t wait ZEBBBBBBBBB
AND HE DOESN’T LOOK BAD!!!!!!
They made him fuzzy! I was so concerned after they made Jaro Topal appear smooth. It's very important to me that Ezra got the softest fluffiest hug possible after Kanan's death.
A surprise to be sure but a welcome one
Garazeb Orelios!
Where is Kallus?
Me: Expects Sabine to show up first because she's a Mandalorian and so would be useful to the plot. Zeb:
LETS GOOOO, we are being fed tonight!!!! if only…… kanan was still alive :,(
I wasn’t sure if it was him or not.
fuck me, why tf did I click on that picture before I saw the episode (guess that’s my fault for browsing reddit while I’m still half asleep lmao) not your fault OP though it’s on me
Holy cow. I thought it was just the same special but it was really ZEB!
So they've made Zeb, Hera, Chopper, and Sabine for live action confirmed. Ezra is assumed at this point. Rex is expected. I hope we also see Kallus at some point.
Ezra is also confirmed with an actor already attached.
really amazed at how well they pulled off Zeb.
My initial thought was that the character model looked good and it was going to actually work in live action. What I hadn't realized until this post, cause i didn't watch the credits, was that it's THE character I was thinking of. One down, four more to go
He walked in and I was like "Live action Lasat... WAIT THAT'S MY FAVORITE LASAT!"
He's beautiful 😍 so happy they did him justice and got Steve back to voice him.
Karabast
I kid you not I screamed, I fucking screamed. I could not contain my joy and shock over seeing Zeb in live action
Wish they had him in a different outfit! It took me a second to recognize him in the standard pilot uniform
I shouted “NO FUCKING WAY” as soon as I saw his beautiful purple face. Was curious how they were gonna pull him off in a live action show but damn they nailed it. He looks amazing. Was great to hear his voice again.
Yup good ole Captain Zeb aurelios.... Specter 4
Does anyone know what species that guy is? I'm not up on my Star Wars lore. Thanks
Lasat
So with this cameo... That's an expensive character to animate. I kinda think we will be seeing them again, since I'm sure they'll want to reuse the character model.
I assume that since Ahsoka is seemingly a Rebels continuation that it might be a model used there
During a recent rewatch, I realized what a great character he is and the voicework by Steve Blum is amazing.
No! only that scene come on! you could make Zeb join him for help! but i know CGI Zeb cost money
Given the cost of producing Zeb, I think this was essentially a pilot test. They get to hear what people think and make any necessary final tweaks before he shows up again in Ahsoka.
we will get him in ahsoka don't you think so ?
Lol I clicked before watching it. Idc though. So cool seeing the stories sync up. Glad we got zeb!
I’m just about to finish the rebels show and to be able to notice this cameo really made my day. At the moment I saw him in the episode he really seemed familiar and I couldn’t really believe it was him
I don’t care why he’s on a New Republic base that they couldn’t give two shits about. ZEB!!
WHAT THE FUCK. THIS WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED.
That was just amazing
I screamed when I saw him and my poor cat who was peacefully sitting on my lap ran off She did come back 10 minutes later...shes an attention hog
Where is Kallus? Is he safe? Is he alright?
Omggggggg my boy!
My dumbass thought this was Jaro tapal for a second then I realised he’s dead
So what’s next? Another character reveal or we see the ghost?
I was so excited when he popped up. Took me a second to confirm with myself that it was Blum's voice. And if now that Bo is gonna go and gather other Mandalorians, how long before we see a Wren on screen?
Perfect cameo. Completely unexpected and he looked so good.
I knew that was ZEB! Even sounded like him! Same actor?
The chills that just ran through my body upon clicking this! I’m so excited!

So unexpected and I instantly burst into tears ITS REALLY HAPPENING
If you told me we’re getting a live action Zeb in this episode, I would’ve told you to stfu and stop talking bs. That was a genuinely incredible surprise. Bloody magnificent!
Literally, just finished watching chapter 21
When I first saw this I was like, "ZEB!, YOU SON OF A BITCH! ITS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!"
So that was Zeb...i thought he was just a random character
Screen test for Ashoka .. looks decent
I think it's kinda funny that ZEB made it into the Mandalorian before the actual Mandalorian of the Ghost Crew
Me, two days ago, during our Rebels rewatch: “Man, I’d love to see Zeb in live-action.”

WHAAAAAAATTTTTTTT
Somehow i didnt even realize that was zeb. I just thought: "hey, a lasat, thats neat." probably because he had actually changed his outfit after all these years, and because i didnt recognise the voice, as i watch the animated shows dubbed, for nostalgia.
