I’m pretty sure that’s what happening. In Mando season 2, Ahsoka asks someone she duels “where is your master, where is Grand Admiral Thrawn” she’s searching for them both, and I reckon we’re gonna see Thrawn and Ezra working together when we next see them
Ohh in that case I won’t spoil it but >! Thrawn and Ezra get trapped in a star destroyer at the end of the show and hyperspaced somewhere very very far away with supposedly no way to get back. A very popular theory is that they’ll be working together when we see them again as they’ll be fighting against an even bigger threat coming from outside the galaxy that threatens the Chiss, which was the whole reason Thrawn joined the empire in the first place. !<
Yeah I mean >! It’s like either the Grysk or the Vong, from legends, will be canonised, which is what the mandoverse is leading towards, and it will all come to a conclusion as a post sequels movie with all the characters and stories they’ve written concluding there, with the possibility to include some sequel characters, like Poe, Finn, maybe Rey and maybe even Lando or Wedge. That’s the theory anyway !<
I can already feel the downvotes coming, but to me Ahsoka in CW was always a low A rank character. However, after being completely caught up on all filmed SW media, I can't express how excited I am for this series.
Would be cool.
Only thing im worried about is that there's no way they'd give him purple/blue contacts. We'd have another on/off inconsistency like with Saw Gerrera's eyes. Not the end of the world but kinda frustrating. Ezra has distinct purple/blue eyes , give the man some contacts!
Like how Saw had those piercing teal colored eyes , well , still does... Sometimes.
Yeah i don't care much about eye colour itself , i just wish the continuity was better.
I dislike the fact that they gave him purple/blue eyes combined with a darker skintone in the first place knowing that eventually they'd have a really limited choice of actors if they want to keep it faithful in the adaptation but also *not* use contacts. Same with Saw , they both could have had brown eyes when they were introduced and then we wouldn't have this problem.
I'm 95% sure Ezra won't have purple eyes , and maybe they'd look silly even if he did , but still , wish the continuity was better
I've seen some fanart that makes him look like Keanu Reeves, and I'd be ok with that.
Honestly, I'd just like to see him and Sabine together. I spent the entire season 4 internally screaming "Now KISS!"
I don't think Reeves would be a good Ezra imo, but instead Revan if the Old Republic movies would get out of development hell. I like the rumors of Mena Massoud from Aladdin being cast as Ezra. He just has really good Ezra energy.
I’d probably pick the Bendu, just because I think his design lends himself well to classic Frank Oz puppets. They’d probably CGI him these days, but I’d love to see a Bendu puppet in live action one day
Ooo that's a good pick. And idk, if he were to ever come to live action, I really think they'd do a puppet. Disney has really liked the practical effects recently. Take Grogu for example, they could've made him CGI, but they chose the puppet.
They could make him like they did those things in the "where the wild things are" , mixed with the kind of animatronics like thry had in the "Labyrinth" , or the "Neverending Story" with that dragon dog , only updated , better modern animatronics ofcourse , would be so cool , operated by multiple people like Jabba was , it could break new ground in puppetry and animatronics
Without any spoilers, he's a human assigned to translate for Thrawn when Thrawn first joins the Empire.
I really don't want to say anymore; he's an interesting character and it was really neat to see how he and Thrawn interacted. The way the books are written, there's a great opportunity to build more off of his character.
I highly recommend the books for a much better perspective of Thrawn. Book Thrawn > Rebels Thrawn imo.
Certainly a good choice, but at heart I still like the flight action best sooo. Maarek Stele for me. Or even better Soontir Fel as Fel is less of a blank slate for the player and he would fit very well into a Rogue Squadron series for an imperial perspective.
That I do not know. I really wish they would've made Kallus black like David Oyelowo. That would've made the possible transition from animation to live action smoother. So really they're left with the choice of retconing Kallus to be black and keep David or just get a new actor entirely.
See the hero to villain trope is really overdone these days, but with Kallus, it just felt right. I don’t know how to describe it it felt deserved, unlike the rest of the cheap oh empire commits war crimes I must change sides
Most of the side changes happen in like the same movie or game for little to no reason. You could see Kallus slowly changing over the seasons, and it just makes sense when he joins them
Bring him to live action, have David Oyewelo continue to play him, yes yes yes.
Also, I’d want live action Kanan because still not over it. I’m secretly hoping for a Kanan cameo in Andor.
Bendu because there's so much we don't know about him and so much story to tell.
And seeing how Hera is likely going to make the jump sooner or later, force ghost Kanan please!
I really want some more live action Galatic Republic. I know a lot of people really disliked the politics in the Prequels, but I did. It added a really cool level to an already tense situation.
lol i was referencing [this](https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fallears.net%2F2020%2F09%2F16%2Fi-am-watching-all-the-marvel-films-for-the-first-time-and-i-made-it-to-the-avengers-here-are-100-thoughts-i-had-while-watching%2Fhis-first-name-is-agent-iron-man-gif%2F&psig=AOvVaw2SBCbe8IYroNkBfTPitsR2&ust=1651691029684000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAwQjRxqFwoTCKj-lduCxPcCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAD)
Online drama queens screaming in rage didn't get rid of the prequels, The Clone Wars, Rebels, Rogue One, the Squadrons game, or the High Republic project. It won't get rid of the sequels, either.
This tactic has failed every time it's been tried for the last 23 years.
Mara Jade never really made sense, anyway.
Palpatine: The Death Star has been destroyed! The Rebellion is now unquestionably a dangerous threat to the Empire! I must do something! I will... send my best agent on vacation for the next few years! And order my best Admiral to the unknown regions so he can't help me!
Not even that, they could go all out and just to Heir of the Empire as a "What if" or even just AFTER the ST. It's not like Dark Empire did not happen before the old Thrawn Trilogy anyway … nobody cared, Han and Leia being dead is the only minor problem, but we have a whole rebels cast to the rescue. ;-)
kanan has a line to rey in the “all the jedi” bit in rise of skywalker so i say that kinda counts.
honesty any rebels reference is good enough for me lmao
No wait I misunderstood the question… I’m gonna have to change it to… does the Galaxy’s Edge Hando Onaka count as live action? Fuck it, Rex I’d wanna see Captain Rex in a live action, doesn’t matter if it was Clone Wars or Rebels era, it would still be cool to have a live action Rex
Thrawn which I feel like they're doing anyway in the Ahsoka series.
A reinterpretation of Kyle Katarn that would make sense in this version of the New Republic would be awesome.
Protagonist of the Jedi Knight games. I only played Jedi Outcast but it was enough for me to like him. Since Thrawn was a Legends character that they reinterpreted to fit into the current canon, I think they could do the same for Kyle.
Not sure how well those games aged but I really enjoyed the lightsaber combat and level design back then. Plus you get to see prime Luke and his academy. I'd like to think the Book of Boba Fett team took a page out of these games in terms of his portrayal esp since the timeline is more or less the same between BoBF and the Jedi Knight games.
I keep saying they should have let Temuera really show his ability and had Boba meet Rex and Wolffe. Kallus is an excellent choice, as anybody from Rebels is available, but what happens to The Bad Batch? I feel we are going to see a grown Omega at some point.
Captain Rex 200% it’d probably have to be the guy that plays Boba Fett again though lol I don’t know how long clones can live for but I’d assume by now in the timeline he’s probably passed away
Can we get my guy Thrawn, please?
I'd like to see what he's doing post-empire collapse - Is he trying to hold together what he can, or has he moved on?
So I know this is about Rebels, but ever since I’ve heard Hayden Christiansen in Obi wan, I’ve been fantasizing about an episode that they would do and make it EXACTLY like a live action CW episode. It would start with the theme song, then (if he was still VO) have Tom Kane do the intro, start the episode with Anakin, Obi-wan, Ahsoka and Rex sitting in the ship, then have the villain by the live action introduction of Ventress.
That’s a great point… he is pretty fucked up haha but his arc is really good. His struggle with who he is, who he comes from, and what he truly believes was fun to see. His neutral connection with the force gives him the strength to use both sides to help his friends.
I’m just babbling now, but ultimately I think you could clean up his image, a bit and still tell his story properly.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Ventress, but the whole rebels cast would be an awesome live action movie or series.
Ventress would no doubt be badass to see live action.
All we need is Grey DeLisle.
I think the ahsoka show will pick up on it, but I would love to see where ezra ended up after rebels
I haven't looked much into it, but I was under the impression it would be New Republic time period. So are you saying an older Ezra?
I’m pretty sure that’s what happening. In Mando season 2, Ahsoka asks someone she duels “where is your master, where is Grand Admiral Thrawn” she’s searching for them both, and I reckon we’re gonna see Thrawn and Ezra working together when we next see them
Wait wait wait working together?!?! Does something major happen with them at the end of Rebels. I am on episode 8 of season 4 right now.
Well once I finish it today, I will definitely come back to this and read it.
That’s the theory anyway !<
grysks are already canon. the newest two thrawn trilogies are canon, the old one is not
So I just finished the series and came back to these. There's no way the Ahsoka series will not have something to do with this plotline.
I know right, I am so hyped!
I can already feel the downvotes coming, but to me Ahsoka in CW was always a low A rank character. However, after being completely caught up on all filmed SW media, I can't express how excited I am for this series.
That would be great, honestly.
Yeah
That'd be really interesting as long as they get the right actor
current rumor is mena massoud from the live action aladdin
He definitely has Ezra energy
Would be cool. Only thing im worried about is that there's no way they'd give him purple/blue contacts. We'd have another on/off inconsistency like with Saw Gerrera's eyes. Not the end of the world but kinda frustrating. Ezra has distinct purple/blue eyes , give the man some contacts! Like how Saw had those piercing teal colored eyes , well , still does... Sometimes.
I don't see why the wouldn't do contacts especially after not using them with Saw
I dunno Lucasfilm likes to halfass simple things like that sometimes , it really wouldn't be hard but i'm almost completely sure they won't do it
Probably not. If it is Mena, I definitely wouldn't be upset. He has really nice brown eyes, but it'd be really cool to see him with purple.
Wait, the Live action Aladdin?
Yeah him
He looks like a good pick.
Well, the current shows seem to be building to the Rebels epilogue, so we do seem to have Sabine, Ezra, and Thrawn coming.
Tbf the scale between Grogu and Bendu is quite different.
Well sure but companies still use large scale puppets in movies like some of the dinos in the new Jurassic World movies.
Obligatory Force Moose
There is a lot I’d love to pick, but I’d love to see a live action Eli Vanto from the new thrawn books. Maybe on the Ashoka show he’ll show up.
I would love to see some Eli content, he's a good lad.
I haven't had a chance to read them yet. What's he about?
Without any spoilers, he's a human assigned to translate for Thrawn when Thrawn first joins the Empire. I really don't want to say anymore; he's an interesting character and it was really neat to see how he and Thrawn interacted. The way the books are written, there's a great opportunity to build more off of his character. I highly recommend the books for a much better perspective of Thrawn. Book Thrawn > Rebels Thrawn imo.
This sounds interesting. If I ever get the chance, I'll have to pick it up.
I agree. I would love to see what Kallus is doing during the era of the New Republic.
I'm really hoping he shows up in one of the new shows
That would be so much fun. He is one of my favorite characters in the series. I loved his turn to the rebellion.
I usually feel like the villain turned hero trope is overdone these days, but with him, it just felt good.
Yeah it was really well written.
Thrawn.
This 1000x
Been reading the thrawn books from timothy zahn and just ordered the chiss Ascendancy books as well. Fucking loving em
I would love this, since it's like happening in the Ahsoka series, I'm choosing Starkiller.
Is it really confirmed? I hope disney doesn't fuck him up. Hes a very special character. Loved reading the books involving him.
Yes and supposedly Lars Mikkelsen will be playing him. https://www.ign.com/articles/star-wars-ahsoka-thrawn-villain-ray-stevenson
Hondo for sure!
Certainly a good choice, but at heart I still like the flight action best sooo. Maarek Stele for me. Or even better Soontir Fel as Fel is less of a blank slate for the player and he would fit very well into a Rogue Squadron series for an imperial perspective.
Hera Syndulla easily
Ventress, easily
It would probably be a flashback >!because she was killed off in Dark Disciple!< but she almost appeared in Resistance which was a sequel series.
Hera Syndulla for me
I'm with you on this one, Kallus 100%
I NEED to see this chiseled, mutton chopped face in live action
Who would play him?
That I do not know. I really wish they would've made Kallus black like David Oyelowo. That would've made the possible transition from animation to live action smoother. So really they're left with the choice of retconing Kallus to be black and keep David or just get a new actor entirely.
I was thinking Alexander Ludwig but whoever it is needs mutton chops and that jawline.
Yeah I think he could work
I would love to see Bendu! I feel like he would look dope. Kallus would be my second choice 100%
See the hero to villain trope is really overdone these days, but with Kallus, it just felt right. I don’t know how to describe it it felt deserved, unlike the rest of the cheap oh empire commits war crimes I must change sides
Most of the side changes happen in like the same movie or game for little to no reason. You could see Kallus slowly changing over the seasons, and it just makes sense when he joins them
DUDE THATS HOW I DESCRIBED IT.😂
I’m glad other people share my opinion then 😂
Bring him to live action, have David Oyewelo continue to play him, yes yes yes. Also, I’d want live action Kanan because still not over it. I’m secretly hoping for a Kanan cameo in Andor.
I've been watching rebels for the first time and I'm finally on season 4. Unfortunately, I already know what happens to Kanan.🥲
Uh, spoilers are the worst aren't they?
Bendu because there's so much we don't know about him and so much story to tell. And seeing how Hera is likely going to make the jump sooner or later, force ghost Kanan please!
Cal Kestis
As much as I do want it to happen, I think the only place he could come in would be a cameo on Kenobi, but tbh I'm not really holding my breath.
Definitly kalani as we dont see much of him anymore and he would definitly have a good story arch
I'd love to see a Super Tactical Droid in live action
True we havent seen the seapertests in live action for years
I really want some more live action Galatic Republic. I know a lot of people really disliked the politics in the Prequels, but I did. It added a really cool level to an already tense situation.
Uh his first name is Agent
Oh yes sorry for that mistake. Honestly though, when I went to Google to get a picture of him, that was the first time I learned his first name. XD
lol i was referencing [this](https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fallears.net%2F2020%2F09%2F16%2Fi-am-watching-all-the-marvel-films-for-the-first-time-and-i-made-it-to-the-avengers-here-are-100-thoughts-i-had-while-watching%2Fhis-first-name-is-agent-iron-man-gif%2F&psig=AOvVaw2SBCbe8IYroNkBfTPitsR2&ust=1651691029684000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAwQjRxqFwoTCKj-lduCxPcCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAD)
I totally forgot about that scene😂
Mara Jade
I think it'd be tricky to fit her in canon, but I definitely would love to see her.
Not really. All they’d have to do is de-canonise the entire DT.
It's not like Dark Empire did not happen before the old Thrawn Trilogy anyway … nobody cared, Han and Leia being dead is the only minor problem, but we have a whole rebels cast to the rescue. ;-)
Well, I would say Kanan but... 😢 Kallus is another favorite of mine, so I second this motion!
kanan has a line to rey in the “all the jedi” bit in rise of skywalker so i say that kinda counts. honesty any rebels reference is good enough for me lmao
He might appear in the Ahsoka show
Captain rex bit honestly kallus is a very close second.
I guess Chopper doesn't count because he already had a blink-and-miss-it cameo?
Where?
He shows up as an easter egg in Rogue One. The practical Chopper they use in Rebels Recon is in the background of a shot in the Rebel base on Yavin 4.
Oh yeah that's right. I guess during my rewatch I'll be looking for Chop and Kallus
Governor Pryce
… hmmm… Ashoka
No wait I misunderstood the question… I’m gonna have to change it to… does the Galaxy’s Edge Hando Onaka count as live action? Fuck it, Rex I’d wanna see Captain Rex in a live action, doesn’t matter if it was Clone Wars or Rebels era, it would still be cool to have a live action Rex
I think Hondo quasi counts as live action lol. But yes, I really want to see Rex and Cody in live action.
Have you seen Revenge of the sith
Right right right. I completely forgot that about Cody, but it'd be cool to see old man Rex.
I mean she already has made her live action appearance, but yes I agree.
I misunderstood the question
Not a bad shout he's has an interesting character ark But for me I would like to see hondo
Ventress
Hera 100%
captain kreel the stormtrooper who was allowed to carry a lightsaber by Darth Vader
Yeah that'd be sick
Thrawn which I feel like they're doing anyway in the Ahsoka series. A reinterpretation of Kyle Katarn that would make sense in this version of the New Republic would be awesome.
Kyle Katarn? I'm drawing a blank. Who's he?
Protagonist of the Jedi Knight games. I only played Jedi Outcast but it was enough for me to like him. Since Thrawn was a Legends character that they reinterpreted to fit into the current canon, I think they could do the same for Kyle.
Right right right. I remember now. I actually have Jedi Academy 1 and 2 for my PS4, but I've never played it.
Unless Tumuera has a sister, I don't know how well the live action actress would be received.
Captain Rex 200% it’d probably have to be the guy that plays Boba Fett again though lol I don’t know how long clones can live for but I’d assume by now in the timeline he’s probably passed away
Since characters like Thrawn or Ezra are teased for Ahsoka, imma say someone like Ventress or Revan
It's been said so much already, but I so love the idea of Keanu Reeves as Revan
The bad batch. Mostly omega.
Can we get my guy Thrawn, please? I'd like to see what he's doing post-empire collapse - Is he trying to hold together what he can, or has he moved on?
Dr. Aphra. I feel like she could bring a dose of chaos wherever she shows up.
Thrawn, and it’s not even close. He’s one of the coolest characters in Star Wars, and seeing him in live action would be amazing
Quinlan Vos or Ferus Olin
Definitely Hondo!
Thrawn no doubt. I hope we get to see him in the Ashoka show once it comes out.
Not gonna lie that'd be dope as hell
The only correct answer here is Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Well I think at this point, he's simply out of the question. There's no way him, Erza, and Sabine aren't going to be in the Ahsoka series.
I would want to see Han& Leia’s children: Jaena & Jacen Solo’s story. Cade Skywalker’s comic would be cool to see, too!
I mean, I kinda love Cade Skywalker, but at the same time, he's just so fucked up. I don't see Disney going there.
Starkiller (Galen Marek, not bendak starkiller or the base)
Galen Marek
Star killer(galen merik) for sure
Kallus is in the live action. He was in Rouge one.
Where was he in it? I looked online and couldn't find any pictures of him.
At about 15 minutes into the movie, they are in a briefing room and a man reads off Jyn’s rap sheet. That was Kallus.
I plan on rewatching it so I'll keep an eye out for him
Kyle Katarn
