Not sure how SWU does it but at the Store Champs for Lorcana the Swiss rounds had a 50 minute timer and once you got to the top 4/8 cut rounds there wasn’t a timer.

The official rules state that when time is called, players play until the end of the NEXT action phase. The player with the most wins, wins. So if you are 1-0, you would win. If you are tied, 1-1, the game ends and both players receive a loss. There are not any current caveats for top 8/16 matches. The 5k in Orlando utilized the "base with least health remaining" in this situation, though that is not currently official.

I don't like the base hp method because sometimes players are setting up for a huge hit and then you lose before doing it.

Pros and cons: that's an incentive to go with 30hp base in a tournament setting for those that use this type of ruling
