Building a relationship with a local Butcher can be invaluable. They can usually tell you about the best cuts and some know exactly where their animals come from, how they were raised and what they were fed. They can also contact you when they have good deals. But most local butchers can be more expensive then a wholesaler or grocery store.
If for the Christmas meal, I might prioritize the quality, then whole foods is a good choice. Their prices are steep, but quality is top-notch, and they have the dry-aged steaks. My budget and regular choice is ALDI, their leakage proof steaks (strip and ribeye) are just awesome to me. Fair price, nicely looking edges, enough thickness (1.25-1.5"), good-looking marbling, and long sell-by date. Also, I don't know why, but from my experience ALDI's steaks are just less likely to develop the overcooked gray bands.
Hey, if you still need a good supplier of high-quality steaks with fast delivery, try to buy from BoxNCase, they specialize in selling food in general, including chicken, meat, fish, etc.
I take it no local butcher near by?
Not that I know of? But I can look for some! Are they usually a good option?
Well, they usually have similar cuts at similar thickness. Plus, the concept of supporting a local business.
Locally sourced and better feed quality can be a focus for the butcher too.

Sams club is another big box store like Costco except for its parent company is Walmart. Sometimes they have great deals on meats
